• Maximum width of Panel

  Hello

  I use CVI 2012, and I have a question about the maximum width of a Panel.

  I created a group of experts on the UI editor width 3840 pixels, but when I run my application, the displayed width of the group seem to be 3350 pixel (and the rest is cropped).

  Even if I try to expand the Panel with the mouse the remaining limit.

  Is there a way to pass this limit?

  Ensure that the title confusing. I am wanting to build a site that has a maximum width of 1600px floating on the Web of the site. This will give you a background of site when the size larger than 1600px. But when you resize than 1600px the border disappears and the content of the Center can resize the pane lower down as usual.   I found the problem, thank you! nothing just a missing brace in the css that was causing the problem. the lines of code are numbered, and red when there is a problem (in cc at least 15). I could be the last to know that.

  I use PNG format to preserve transparency and shadow, I am trying to integrate to give the illusion that this slab object is floating above the other layers.  First I tried file > place to position the menu object on edge of header/beginning of the content.  This leaves no option to force the image to span the width of any screen.  I need that I tried to use object > fill > and then clicking on the maximum width of the rectangle (which solves the problem of maximum width), but now I am facing a problem of cutting top and bottom of the image.  The next thing I can think of is to go back to Photoshop and to distort the image, so it is not as big.  In my view, there must be an easier way to achieve will not also give my image an abnormal appearance.  Thoughts?  Thanks in advance.

  Thanks, that's useful.  I also found that I've cropped for a large part of the canvas.  After the increase the surface of the canvas AND fill everything is fine now.  I think that your suggestion may help with the problem of affect scroll I will have when you use different resolutions. I will try to set the size in a single dimension (height) so that different resolution screens see the same scrolling actions.  Mylenium thanks!

  I can therefore defined the FLUIDAREA div on a maximum width of 900

  I want FIXEDCOLUMN to the left of FLUIDAREA (with left float or something)

  You can do both of these things.

A user can type more than 240 characters on the screen (it does not seem to cut at any time) and then when they run they get an error of area too long given that the DB has only 240 tanks. (they can also copy and paste more than 240 characters here too)
  
  Is there anything else I need to do to make the field stop accepting characters after 240? I know I can cut the field before you save it in order to prevent the error, but want it so that the user can just walk more than they should.

  Make a "* Textarea character counter with *" rather than a normal text box. It will then work. If you want you can even use ' Textarea character Counter and check the spelling.

  How can I set the default width of a LabelField.  Currently if I draw a border around each LabelField with one character in each box, the field that holds a 'I' is narrower than a field that contains a 'W '.  How can I do to make each LabelField has the same width?

  I wonder how I can create a vertical box with a specific width Manager. I labelfields containing text that changes the length of the field and so changes the width of the vertical area Manager (I have 2 side by side). I wish to have fields to stay in the same place regardless of the length of the text (I'll put the field large enough to accommodate the maximum length). So, how can I do this? I think this means the following code, but if anyone can help with the details I would be grateful, thank you!

  I'll give you a quick answer here.  I'm not the right person to do it, but I suspect that you won't see most of the people better than me until tomorrow.

  But looking at your current code, I might be able to explain a few things that will help you.

  Each manager is says how it can be by the sublayout call framework, with the maximum width and height that the Manager can use.  Each Manager works how big it must be iteratively in all areas, there and asking them what size they want to be.  It does this by calling the method of positioning of the field, and he passes two values, width remaining, and the height that remains.

  A VerticalFieldManager will tell all its areas they have the entire available width, and the height of the rest, this height will be some height the value for money was given, less all the fields above already asked.  Back of page layout, optimization of resources will be ask the field how much height is really needed and subtract that before calling the layout on the next field.
