MBP 12 'no battery available.

I am owner of a retina of MBP 2012. This morning the battery was no longer recognized by the laptop and the battery in the top bar icon is an X. When I click it, it says "No available battery." When I click option, however, it says "State: Normal.» I have done a LANDAU and SMC returned no results. My battery had service warning for awhile but still worked normally anyway.

My cell phone will not work without power and stops completely when it is disconnected. I checked the system information, and he acknowledged not all batteries. However, I ran the Diagnostic tool of Apple and accidentally disconnected from the power supply during the process and the computer was not shut down. The result was also "No problems found."

My laptop does need a new battery? Looks again, it works fine, but does not recognize the battery. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

 - Press the Option button, and then click system information - access power

See what it says for the battery

Normal life is 4-5 years and a few have said that they replace the battery every 4

Then Yes, it may be time to replace the battery

So I just had to replace my battery... and I'm sure I'll have to make a complaint... the mAh is only 6394. I remember when I got back it is 8700 or something that nearby. even weirder, is that it has a number of cycle of 31...

is this normal for a new battery to only in 6394.

are there official information I can stick to them if they try to convince me otherwise?

    15 "or 13"?

Just checked my file and Ye Olde end 2011 15 ' no - retina MBP clocked 7150 mAh when I took possession in dec/11. My new 15 mid-2015 "battery not replaceable by the user clocks of retina MBP at 8826 mAh now, which is great, since the design was 8755 mAh. I use CoconutBattery to measure, because it performs an account of what the model is supposed to achieve.

So yes, if 15 "you have been cheated. If all goes well, it was made by Apple and have some kind of warranty (replacement parts are usually 60 days, even if the computer is no longer under warranty).

With LiPo batteries like these, the chemistry of the ages whether you use it or not. So, you could get an old spare who remained in the shelf maybe even since before that your Mac has been carried out.

  • H satellite L505-13 supports 3 G? SIM card under the battery available

    Hello

I tried to clean my computer toshiba laptop L505-h-13, when I found a sign of a SIM card under the battery.
I tried to put a SIM card, but it does not belong. It is directly "swollowed.
So my laptop does support 3 G SIM? If so, how could I put?
    Concerning

    Hello

No, the Satellite L505-h-13 doesn't support 3G module.

I guess as some models of the Satellite L500 / L505 series was equipped with the 3G module.
The fact is that the same bottom cover has been used in the entire series L500 and is why there is a slot for SIM under the battery.

  • Battery care, pls help me clarify :)

I just this rMBP 2015 and the first time mac user.

In regards with the maintenance of the battery, I've been looking for clarification on the ff since my mbp, most of the time stay at home now.

I read most of the people leave mbp plugged when at home to minimize the number of cycle and have it use about 50% at least once or twice a month.

1.) my battery is at 100% so load now it works on power adapter right and theres no risk of overcharging of the bat?

After using my mac or before you go to bed, I mostly read it is not much of a difference in stopping or doing it either "standby mode". But since it will remain unused for long hours, I'd rather stop.

2.) after closure should I unplugged and just plug in again before you turn it on?

I also read that MacBook do not charge from full load up to what he dove percentage as about 95% of batteries? Return to question No. 2, if I disconnect the device after stopping allowing him is charged at 100%. With this logic when I plug it again before using it will run directly on the right power adapter?

3.) it would be better if I stop > disconnect > plug > turn on? and just it run on battery until 50% once every two weeks?

    1. the OSX controls the battery charge.  There is no risk of overcharging.

    2. it makes no difference.  I leave it plugged only because it's one less thing to do.

    3. when a MBP was fully charged (100%), the charger will stop charging the battery but provide power to operate the MBP.  At this point the battery behaves as if it is stored on a shelf and be discharged very slowly.  When less than 95% charge level, then the battery will start recharging as well as the power to run the MBP.

    Two rules:

If you run the MBP with the charger connected all the time, at least once a month during the MBP with the battery about the 40% level before plugging it back.  Lithium-ion batteries need exercise for long life.

Never completely drain the battery.  That will shorten the battery life.

    Ciao.

  • low power mode is on but the battery is full

My Iphone 5 c run 9.3.1.  When I switch on the low power mode, it restricts my auto-lock to 30 seconds (it is grayed out).  The problem is with the low power mode on, my battery availability is 98% (appears in yellow), but the low power mode should be committed only to 20% or decrease of availability.  How do I fix it so low power does not come on until I get low on battery reserves?  Thank you!

No matter how much energy batttery you left, if you activate the Low Power mode, the indicator lights yellow. My iPhone 5s has 80% battery left and I turned on the low power and the yellow light.

  • Portege M400: Matter of time life battery

    Hello
I am looking to buy a tablet PC - was having a look at Portege M400 and model Tecra T7. Although the battery life would be tolerable, I suppose it depends on how you have configured the computer and how to use it - and I'd certainly a margin of safety for more than 5 hours (3 on the tecra). These models have the ability to swap a new battery in and out easily, or install a second battery to increase life expectancy?

    Thank you

  • Satellite P750-114 - extension of battery?

    Hello

I was wondering if there is an extended battery available for Satellite P750-114. I can't find one on the Toshiba site. Are there any other sources I was able to find one?
    Thank you

    Hello

I checked the specifications of other models P750 and their options but for P750 everything at the moment, only a battery 6 cells is available. There is therefore no battery 9 cells with a higher capacity.

Maybe that Toshiba will develop such a new battery more wait to let s ability what will happen with. But on the other side, I must say that the Satellite P750 is a great piece of hardware, with very fast components for multimedia, games, etc. It s not the best laptop of Toshiba for mobile use of the battery life is not so important for this model in my opinion.

  • Battery on Satellite U400 problem

I bought my dad a Satellite U400 laptop 10J for her birthday there is a little less than 2 years. More than 60 years and not too keen on the use of a laptop computer, he left the unit in her closet for nearly a year before turning on. The first problem with the laptop materialsed turns don't not on with the error "battery not recognized." Subsequent update of the BIOS got the laptop so that it starts. However, despite the now (or appearing to be charged) battery can hold only about 10 minutes of charge. It got progressively worse until it is the only way to use the laptop to keep constantly plugged in. As you can imagine, limiting the usefulness of having a laptop in the first place.

I got back to the retailer and given that I had bought extended warrantly, hoped that they would replace the battery. They refused, indicating that the battery is not covered and that, by not using not the first laptop after buying, I had damaged the battery current.

Is this possible? Can do a battery irrevocably damaged by the inactivity? I think that the period was approximately 9 months, during which it had not yet unpacked it in the box.

If that is the case, are optionally spare batteries or should I order a battery Toshiba orginal? Also, are there long lifetime battery options available for this model?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, it can happen. It is recommended to charge the battery full, even if not used. You must use original Toshiba batteries do not think that it is extended life battery available

  • Equium A100 - 027 Longlife battery

    Hello

I take out a maximum use of 40mintues of my laptop when running on batteries and would like to know if it is an extended battery available, and where to find?

    Adrian

    Hi Adrian

You should know that life battery depends on the use of the laptop. This means that it is not easy to say how long the laptop needs to run on the battery.
If you play games, use the CD/DVD drive or DVD movies then the battery performance would decrease more quickly

In addition, you should know that new OS Vista needs more power as the other older operating systems.

You can also try buying a stronger battery. Check out the Toshiba site Options & accessories that are on the page of Toshiba Europe.

    Good bye

  • Need to know the assignment of pins of Toshiba PA3480U-1BAS battery

Can someone tell me the pins of the Toshiba PA3480U-1BAS battery available.
In other words, what a pair would I need to tap in order to charge the battery of the laptop?

There absolutely no charge in the battery at this time.

I think that there will be no one who can help you and say, wat pair of pins, you must charge the battery, because I'm not a technician and most of other users too.

But why do you charge the battery outside the laptop? Is there something wrong with your machine or the battery?
