MBPr crashing (especially on Safari) with Google Maps

Hey people,

Recently (last month or Yes, but not sure about the exact time), my Mac crashed when I used Google maps satellite mode. It is almost always a problem with Safari. Today I tested it and it wouldn't crash on Google Chrome, but are permanently with Safari. (I know before, at least once that plant on Chrome too).

Someone has had a similar experience? What should I try?

Thank you!

Pete

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Step 1

For this step, the title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

In the upper right corner of the Console window, there is a search box to filter. Enter the name of the application crashed or process. For example, if Safari has crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes).

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages since the time of the last fall, as appropriate. Copy to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost everything that is not relevant to solve a particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

Step 2

In the Console window, clear the search box, and then select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ user

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports of incidents. The name of each report begins with the name of the process and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report on the process in question. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway. If the report is only a few lines, make sure that you have disabled the search box.

If you don't see any report, but you know, he had an accident, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report - they are very long and rarely useful.

When you post the journal excerpt or the accident report, you might see an error message on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Problem with Google Maps blackBerry Smartphones?

    Hi, I'm having a lot of problems with the Google Maps download.

    I just got my blackberry a couple of weeks, and google maps is a feature that I really need.

    I have download it without problems, and then when I opened the application I can search for a place with no trouble.

    However, I can't find any more places. If I enter another address, I get the 'getting directions' screen and he's looking for hours and hours. Finally, I just delete the program and reinstall it if I want to search for another location.

    Why should I do this? Is there something wrong with my phone?

    Upgrade to the latest OS:

    See the link below for download and simple installation instructions.

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-8500-series-discussion-Gemini/235791-latest-OS-8520-5-0-0-13...

    Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • JavaFX with Google Maps and JavaScript callback

    Hi all

    I wanted to create an application in javafx where use can click on the google maps map and the application will save the x - y coordinates. I found this

    Article on the experience of java fx cards in JavaFX 2.0 / / JavaFX News, demos and Insight / / FX experience and that worked very well. But this example

    does JavaFX to javascript.

    Now, I added this method to their java script:

     google.maps.event.addListener(document.map, "click", function(event) {
        var lat = event.latLng.lat();
        var lng = event.latLng.lng();
        // populate yor box/field with lat, lng
        alert("Lat=" + lat + "; Lng=" + lng);
    });

    and it works if I call the page html by itself. But if I click on the card inside my javafx application, no popup will appear. That, probably something with the webengine

    but I don't need the popup, I need information lat and LNG in my java fx application.

    Anyone have an idea how to realize that?

    Thank you

    Hauke

    See this section of the tutorial.

    Also, since you mentioned that the alert box has not been indicated, if you don't want this feature at some point, you can register a handler with the WebEngine onAlert.

  • Porting Android app - problem with Google Maps

    I have an Android app I want to put at the disposal of users of BlackBerry 10 by porting to the Android Runtime of BB. The only stumbling block is that my Android application uses Google Maps API (com.google.android.maps) that does not support the run time. The map screen is only a small feature of the app, and I'm happy to turn it off for BlackBerry users, but is it possible? I don't want to maintain two copies of the request, somehow can code an application so that the conversion to the BAR works, but cards are always available on Android?  I made sure that the reference to the API maps in the Android manifest has the required tag = 'false' and check in my code, if cards are available on the device, but this doesn't seem to be enough.  The Compatibility Checker lists each line in each file of the source code where I make reference to a map object.

    Any help appreciated,

    Jonathan

    No, it's not going to work. Save you time trying to find a solution and just copy your project to a new and necessary modifications for blackberry. If you use source control, then you can try to turn to this probject.

    By the way. If you want to Google maps in your application, it can be done using a webview and Google API javascript.

  • 6.1.6 Safari hangs on Google Maps

    Safari 6.1.6/Mac OS 10.7.5/Mac Pro started today crashing to Google Maps. All other sites work fine. Tried the usual bugs (reset etc.) but no relief. If I go to a page like a hotel reservation where a Google map comes up to the side, not crash, but I get an alert to 'upgrade' to Google Chrome. Hmmm... Tried earlier, too intrusive. MapQuest, Bing and here work very well also.

    In the journal of the accident, the first line mentions Javascript if that helps. If you disable Javascript, the page does not load and tells you just to turn it on.

    Someone else?

    v10.7.5 Lion is just an outdated OS x Safari 6.1.6 is also that is why you have problems with Google Maps.

    Recommended requirements for Chrome is Mavericks v10.9 > https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/3209990?hl=en

    With v10.7 Lion being the minimum.

    In order to have the best security available on your Mac, see if your Mac meets 10,11 El Capitan requirements here > upgrade to El Capitan

    Which would upgrade your Mac to v10.11.4 and Safari 9.1, a more stable platform.

    El Capitan is free and available for download on the App Store.

    El Capitan requires 8.8 GB of storage space.

    After many tests and learn the basics of javascript, here is the solution that works very well:

    In Page settings:

    URL of the file:

    https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/API/js?v=3.exp&callback=initialize

    Function and Global variable declaration:

    var geocoder;

    function initialize() {}

    Geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder ();

    }

    function getreo (callbackFunction) {}

    var marker;

    var lat;

    var lng;

    LAT is parseFloat (48.9304902);.

    LNG is parseFloat (8.4458497);.

    LAT = parseFloat ($x("P6_LATITUDE").value);

    LNG = parseFloat ($x("P6_LONGITUDE").value);

    var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng (lat, lng);

    Geocoder.geocode ({"latLng": latlng}, {function (results, status))

    If (status == google.maps.GeocoderStatus.OK) {}

    If (results [1]) {}

    $s("P6_CITY",results[1].formatted_address);

    }

    } else {}

    $s ("P5_CITY", ("geocode is not right:" + status));

    }

    });

    If (callbackFunction)

    callbackFunction ();

    }

    Atrribute body of HTML page:

    OnLoad = "Initialize () '"

    In dynamic Action:

    Load event of the page with javaScript Action:

    getreo();

    In my application logic, I implement in above the dynamic Action, get the location coordinates with the Plugin 'Oracle - get location [plug-ins] HTML5 cards'. It fills the elements P6_LATITUDE, P6_LONGITUDE, P6_LOCATIONMSG

    In the next steep to get the reverse geocoding city of google. To do this, I created a second dynamic action at traffic lights after changing the value of the item p6_locationmsg went before plugin. She runs the javascript code to call getreo();

    Good luck!

    Google maps allowing to operate perfectly. I am a Taxi driver and often look for addresses and places with Google maps. Can you help me get it working again?

    Hello

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

      then select restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

    Hi team,

    My MapViewer Version: Ver11_1_1_7_B130111

    I created a Google Map (with the Source as "Google Maps" map Type) in the map viewer Oracle and I could see google map in Oracle Map Viewer (using 'show Map').

    I wanted to show a theme of map of the village on the google map above in a web page and I use Jdeveloper to integrate with data from the Village map viewer. I could see that the google maps within Jdeveloper however when I run the code Jdeveloper google map does not appear within the web page.

    I could get all the other basic maps (created with "internal" as the source of the map") on the web page, so there is something that I'm missing with Google Maps, Bing Maps, Oracle cards. Could you please help me what I'm missing or point to a resource to help?

    Thank you

    You need a newer version of JDev (like 11.1.2.x.x or later).

    Geomap DVT (if that's what you use) includes a local copy of oraclemaps.js.

    This must be a newer version.
