media player 11 playback is fuzzy

the media player 11 playback is garbled in mp3, DVD and movies play fine. CDs also play very well. ONLY the MP3 files do not play back clearly. Reading is not clear/scrambled

Have you tried the steps suggested by Divya?

Do you have any codec pack (such as K-Lite)? If so, please try to remove them.

I also suggest that you update your audio drivers to their latest version. Don't simply check Windows Update, but the site of the manufacturer of the sound card as well.

  • update of WinDVD stop Media Player DVD playback

So this one took me by surprise.

I've updated my software InterVideo WinDVD (from 4 to 5) using the update available here on the Lenovo Web site

Now when I open Windows Media Player to play a DVD, I get a message indicating that:

"DVD playback is not enabled for this drive. Click on [OK} to use InterVideo WinDVD Player for playback. "DVD playback... I would like WinDVD to play this DVD. »

So I click OK and the DVD plays fine in WinDVD.  But I want to play in WMP... I like just the interface better.

Any ideas on how to enable WMP to play the DVD?  He played them well until I update of WinDVD 5.

    Thank you

I was so happy that it seemed that Lenovo was trying to solve my problem by posting a new update of WinDVD from their download site:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-56646

The readme file seems to indicate that he would treat my problem of not being able to play DVDs in Windows Media Player.  Unfortunately, it is not not to be.  After uninstalling and reinstalling the new update, I get the same result: WMP is able to read the video but not the audio from the DVD and I get a message indicating that WMP was not allowed to read the DVD I would use WinDVD instead.

So I uninstalled WinDVD, searched my stash of older programs and found one for PowerDVD from CyberLink.  It's an old one (version 4 of 2003), but it did the trick.  My solution is to use instead of WinDVD PowerDVD. WMP plays very well on DVD.

I should have just stuck to WinDVD 4 my system initially provided with, in 1st place, rather than trying to upgrade to WinDVD 5 since the Lenovo download site.

  • Windows Media Player jerky playback and jumps, to solve the problem anyway?

I love the way that Windows Media Player is on Windows 7, but sometimes some songs are Choppy and sound as if they are ignorant, its only a few songs, I do not understand why this is so, but it is anyway to fix it, because I want to put my music collection in my PC, but I don't know if Windows Media Player would play my files correctly also when it is a playlist there is no jumping, when I select the files, but the audio CD skip her impeccable times. Anyway to solve the problem of MP3?

The problem is easily solved by me turn off my improvements, which is originally the choppy playback, now all files I play on WMP plays flawless... so if anyone has this problem the right thing is to check and see if you have any enrichment, during playback of files, which will most likely solve the problem.

  • Windows 7 Media Player interrupts playback to change the media when the disc (not AutoPlay)

Media player stops the current playback and start playback of a CD/DVD media when inserted.  It's not Autoplay - AutoPlay dialog box appears in addition to changing media WMP.  There seems to be a switch on the menu Options to control this behavior.  How do I turn it off?

Amazing that it is still ongoing!  I came across this thread, because I used dbpoweramp to copy the CD while he was trying to watch some training videos (WMV) in WMP12 (Win7 Pro, 64-bit)

Whenever I put in a CD Ripper, WMP has STOPPED playing the video and ON it's OWN would bring the CD to play.  WHAT?

Automatic change to AUTOPLAY, AUTORUN, RIP settings have no effect. Those who point to them did not read even two or three posts here.  Sigh.

It's too bad that the old days of RealPlayer and Quicktime!  Networks of Nice RealPlayer that many died because of their heavy handed tactics!  Even apple supported some of their heavy handed ways (iTunes is still a CPU hog!)  It is a horrible BUG in WMP.  Yes, it's a BUG if someone calls is a characteristic or not.

Her trying to get around now is to watch the video in SKIN mode.  This BUG does not show his head.  The BUG will appear if I watch the video in mode 'Now Playing'.

Man, it's bad for MS REALL.  More than two years and they cannot even acknowledge the problem.  Sigh.

  • Tips on how to make Windows Media Player DVD playback are not the player of Tosh

I don't want to use the Toshiba Media Player pre-installed to play the DVD, I want to use the Windows Media Player installed. I can't change the default to WMP in the Panel DVD player as the only options are Player Toshiba or Nero.

WMP can play CDs, MP3 etc but cannot even play DVDs in the drive. Anyone got tips on how to change this?

    I agree with Liam
VLC Player is much better than WMP.

  • How to slow down a video AVI in windows media player? Playback speed is greyed out?

    I didn't have a good answer yet...

The game speed is always grayed out.  Game speed settings do not work, except for the arrow buttons next and previous image.

There is no scroll bar to drag the speed upwards or downwards.  Unchecking the cursor button does nothing.

I am using Windows XP Pro, sp3.0.

Looks like you have a program installed that makes transparent WMP window. If you are unsure which program might be, you can perform a clean boot to find out.

  • Problem with Windows Media Player Audio sync DivX playback in full screen

    Hello

I have found lately that when playing videos on Windows Media Player divx mode full screen audio is out of sync.  If the video is played in window mode, there is no problem.  I had no such problem in the past, but now for about 1 month or so, I have this problem.

I have fitted iq508a to vista 64-bit, with the latest drivers delivered HP installed (using the HP update utility)-does anyone else have this same problem too?

    Thanks in advance

    Jim

Laptop HP ENVY 17-j005tx, HP ENVY 27 - k001a, HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 G2020T, HP MediaSmart EX495 Server tilt, HP MediaVault 2020, HP ENVY 120 AiO Printer

I can't believe! I solved the problem with this problem of video audio sync during playback in full screen!

While watching the Pineapple Express, I thought WTF I'll take another closer look at this, and while they were smashimg their cell phones so that they could not be found by triangulation, (don't ask - u just I have to watch - stoner movie )...

in any case, I looked under tools options in WMP.  I unchecked the option on the performance tab "use video smoothing"-the video as reloaded and bingo! everything in harmony!

BTW, I checked my another PC running Vista 32 bit and the option ' use video smoothing ' also exists and it is checked if this seems to be a problem with WMP works on Vista 64 bit or running desktop Touchsmart of WMP... In case I am much happier now...

  • ActiveX: Open a separate window of Windows Media Player 9 and control playback

    Hey all,.

I'm trying to open a video in WMP4 automatically in Labview and control. There is an existing ActiveX container, but it remains on the front panel. I can control its playback, but can not pause and resume.

I can also open the video in a window outside of LabView through Labview WMP9, but I was not able to control. Simply run it and then watch until it ends. It is the preferred operation, I need to understand.

    LabView version: 8.6

ActiveX application: Windows Media Player 4

    OS: Windows XP

    My questions are:

    (a) how to pause and resume a video file, if you use the ActiveX with LabView container ensures

    (b) how could I access an instance outside WMP open through LabView playback controls (because I want to automate reading based on acquired signals)

Note that the ActiveX refnum is WMP4 while the version on XP is WMP9.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Hasan

I had trouble with your application. I don't know if it's
my version of LabVIEW or something else. He will not play for me.

I would like to direct you to the following thread:
