Media Player 11 seek bar does not

Hello - I need help - My Media Play11 search bar used to work that I was able to pass it to where I wanted to, but now, he jumps right in the beginning. I tried to run Fix It, google for any help and there was also one that resembled a fix, but it does not solve the issue... If someone could kindly help me to solve this - it work in media play 9 but need 11 for my Creative Zen to work. He used to work and do not know what has changed so he can stop...

Desperately looking for a solution.

Thank you!

Hello

·         This happens with all the video files you are trying to play using Windows media player 11 or privileged few?

·         Remember to make changes to the system?

Method 1:

If the problem started recently then, I suggest you do a system restore to the point when the system worked very well and see if the problem is resolved.

  • Windows Media Player 11 - Seek Bar not synchronized

Recently, when I play the audio files in Windows Media Player 11 on Vista, the tab bar of the applicant appears and begins to move. However, if I shift it to another part of the song, little matter where I put it, it remains at the beginning of the song. Not necessarily at the beginning, but just not where it should be. The bar maxes and time keeps ticking. I can't move to any part of the song and the timer might hit easily 12 minutes for a 5 minute song as it plays. Any help to solve this? • Media Player in Windows 7 does not recognize my valid Extender ps3 code? What should do?

I get the ps3 np code. but he does not accept the PC?

    Hi duggybones,

    Method 1

    a. ensure that my firewall is configured correctly.
    b. ensure that my PS3 and computer are the same range IP addresses and subnet masks, so they can communicate with each other. In other words my computer and the PS3, allowing to obtain its information from my DHCP (Firewall, router).
    c. ensure that all firewall software, has the necessary changes to allow Windows Media Player to communicate on a UuNP. If you are using Windows Firewall and enable sharing for WMP, WMP will make the necessary changes to the Windows Firewall. If you use a different 3rd party firewall, as I do, McAfee, you will probably need to go this software and add the stuff of heroes, such as programs that can communicate on the network or reliable IP,

    Method 2

Make sure you HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY PLUGINS AND CODECS FOR WMP TO DISPLAY ALL TYPES OF MEDIA, such as AVI, QUICKTIME, ETC..

    1. install Windows Media Player (except if it is already installed).
    2. in services.msc or "Computer management", change the account that uses Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Changed to "Local System account", but "allow service to interact with desktop" UNCHECKED. Restart this service. This was necessary to be able to add folders from my FAT32 external Western Digital HDD.
    3. click on Options
    4. click on library
    5. click on configure sharing, then the checkbox "share my media to:
    6. click on settings
    7. put in something you want to by the media as and leave the default settings.
    8. DO NOT CLICK on the "allow new devices and computers automatically. Check the marking THIS wil allows all plug in without you know and approve.
    9. click OK to return to the main properties screen.
    10. click the button of "records of the screen.
    11. once it is up, depending on how you have set up the computer, and how many user profiles you have to choose your options.
    12. for me, being all my assets in different places other than my profile in "Documents and Settings", I did an add and ADDED folders I wanted to add to the library.
13 let WMP build the library and let him finish completely.
    14. click OK on everything until you find to WMP.
    15. check your library.

    Method 3

    1. activate the connection to the media server on the PS3.
Once you sit down, you have a pop up, if you let WMP running, to allow unknown peripheral access. You can check your PS3 by verifying the MAC address. WMP doesn't support the PS3 yet, so it will be considered as an unknown device.
    In the OPPOSITE case.
    1. click on Options
    2. click on library
    3. click on configure sharing and if things worked properly, you should see an icon "unknown device".
    4. turn highlight the icon and 'allow' and do what you feel necessary, such that customize or right click the icon for additional properties.

  • Windows media player (11) starts, but does not play file

When I double-click an audio file, WMP opens but then does not play the file.

MP3 and WMA (and other formats) files are configurΘ for dΘmarrer with default WMP and video files to various formats still work very well.
I can get the audio to play by doing a right click and select 'Open with' - 'WMP '.  Drag and drop files into the playlist now also does not work.
I'm under WMP 11 on XP Pro version.
    Any ideas?

    This just started recently?
    If so, what has changed?

Try to uninstall the codec pack, it can cause conflicts, play media files.

If the problem persists, try reinstalling the Media Player and test.

In addition, you can test a corrupted profile by testing under a new account:

  • Windows Media Player duplicate songs shows, does not show album titles or art of Seagate NAS Media Server

I just bought a Seagate BlackArmor NAS 110, copied my music to her collection (a big bunch of WMA and MP3 files) and activated the press service that would allow my music to be listened traveled with other DLNA devices.

I then pulled up to my Windows 7 laptop and opened Windows Media Player. The NAS media appeared immediately. I clicked on "The Album->" under the name of server. Here is what I get:

-All photos are displayed in the list

    -No album art

-L' artist album appears usually (but), instead of the title of the album

-Some albums are displayed with duplicates (2 or even 3 copies) of each track

What happens here? Is there a problem with the Seagate DLNA implementation? Windows Media Player is getting confused somehow?

    Reference:

    http://www.Seagate.com/www/products/external/BlackArmor/blackarmor_nas_110

    Hello

    ·        Have you tried to connect the Seagate BlackArmor NAS (Network Attached Storage) 110 on another computer and checked display it music files?

To delete duplicate entries, click on another tab of feature in the Player (for example the current playback), then library.

If this does not remove duplicates from your library, you can add it to the library of the computer search dialog box to analyze a file on your computer the entries double invalid pointing. The player will remove invalid entries in your library that point to files that no longer exist in the folder.

    Method 1:

To use the Add to library dialog box search for computers.

    1. start Windows Media Player.

    2. press F3 on your keyboard to open Add to the library of the computer search dialog box.

    3. click on the Browse button to locate the file on your computer so that your library contains invalid entries. Specify the location of the folder in the box look in.

If you are not sure what duplicate in your library entry is not valid, you can add a path column to display in your library.

    4. specify the folder on your computer that matches the path invalid file displayed in your library.
    Click on the Search button.

The player will search for digital media files and playlists in the folder that you specify and remove invalid entries in your library that point to files that no longer exist in the folder. If not valid in double entries point to other folders on your computer, repeat this procedure, specify a different folder every time.

If only a small number of duplicate entries exist, you can delete those invalid manually by double-clicking the invalid entry and then clicking on delete.

If you have a large number of entries in doubles in your library (or if your library is duplicated), it might be better to create a new library.

    Method 4:

How can I prevent double or invalid entries to be added to my library when I play music files?

When you move digital media files on your computer, the file name and file path information remain unchanged in your library. Then when you select a file to play to its new location, a new entry is created in your library if you select the option automatically added to your library when played. As a result, your library can quickly contain a large number of entries, duplicate or invalid.

To prevent it be automatically added to your library of music files

    1. in Windows Media Player, click the Tools menu, Options.

    2. on the Player tab, clear music to add to the library when played check box.

  • Windows media player 11 in XP does not play DRM files

I have a new installation of SP3 and the latest WMP11 on XP Home.

I get this error when I try to play any DRM file any provider:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/Webhelp/default.aspx?&mpver=11.0.5721.5262&ID=C00D11B1&ContextId=71&OriginalID=80070057
You met the C00D11B1 error message when you use Windows Media Player.
    Original Original error error Code
80070057 one or more arguments are invalid.

All other types of video or audio files that are not protected by DRM play without problem, so there is no problem with the audio device or the ID3 headers because none of the DRM files I've tried are MP3s.

Many hours of research I find that the error is returned for various problems. I tried all the solutions, and none of them solve the problem.  It may be missing or conflicting codecs like all types of files not DRM play without problem. The quartz.dll is recorded and uncorrupted. I reinstalled WMP11 several times. I have reset the DRM with Microsoft tools both Netlix and individualized WMP11 using several MS individualazition sites and by force using the command-line of the several times with each reinstall.

The last thing I tried is to use the resetDRM tool and not to individualize and then installed Amazon Unbox for rentals and video purchases. I ran the troubleshooting included in Unbox and let individualize WMP11, then troubleshooting reported no problems with my set-up. I downloaded a free file short Amazon and although he'll play the Amazon unbox player, trying to read the file in WMP11 always returns the same error as before and therefore trying to play one of the other DRM files I have.

If someone has another solution or an idea of what to check that the usual suspects?

    Hello

Sometimes, this problem can be caused contributions file included with the MP3 ID3 headers. Make a copy of the file and then use an ID3 tag non - editing program Microsoft to remove or reset the file's ID3 headers.

    Caution:

    • Try to remove ID3 headers might damage the file and make it unplayable. Therefore, always make a copy of the file before editing.
    • Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
