If it's a data CD you don't have to RIP it... You can
Just copy the MP3 files in a folder on your hard drive
and then add them to your library.
If you insert the disc into your optical drive and proceed to
Start / computer or click the drive letter
that drive and choose Explore... you can see the
Directory for the drive? OK now... just copy and paste
MP3 files in a folder on your hard drive.

Hello
I am running Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 8-64 bit. When I try to rip a CD, I get a message saying 'Media Player cannot find the file' and goes about if I'm playing, synchronize, or burn a file that may have been moved etc. The help button on the Web on this message also refers to the files moved or deleted.
The file is not protected against copying and it will play the file it can't find. I've run the troubleshooter and reset the settings by default without result, please help.

Windows Media Player won't rip CD more. I put it in MP3 format. I get the COOD1OD2 error message, and by virtue of the clarification it indicates that the error message is COODOFBO which says that the setting of the CD in Device Manager do not match parameter of cd in the drive. I use to be able to rip the CD months ago. I just upgraded to WMP 11 because the sansa clip has not been recognized and updated WMP. How can I fix this.
Thank you

Windows media player does not differentiate between the multiple discs from the same album
editing by Windows media player
All ripping a pair of compact discs windows libraries program "merges" both folders when I change the title of the album, the artist name, and genre stars, so that the list of songs is 1,1,2,2,3,3 etc. until runway 15 where the first, longest, cd continues to his last runway 23. It's confusing to me, because I want to be able to label and burn each file separately.
I'm not sure what you're talking about, it seems you are saying several different things. To facilitate the clear life upwards, try to upload a screenshot on the public record of http://skydrive.live.com that shows what you are referring to exactly.

Windows Media Player does not update album art and album info.
I have a desktop HP Envy h8 - 1417c 64 bit PC and I've recently updated to 8.1 of Windows (from Windows 8 - entered loaded on the PC). After the update, Windows Media Player still works fine, but it doesn't accept new information when I try to extract one of my new CDs to the library of music and album art. It search in the internet and search the correct art and information, but when you click on accept, nothing happens. CD selections simply remain blank. I can still see the info from old files and art (before the update), so I know he kept what was already ripped. I also have a vague called music editing software yet (which works with Windows 8), and he finds no more album. Also, I loaded iTunes and have no problem to find illustrations of album and info with this program. Is there something that I am missing? I can't find anyone having this same problem on the internet. Thank you.
Hello
Microsoft technical support may be able to help you, 8.1 of Windows and Windows Media Player are not HP products:

Windows media player cannot move rip
I'm changing the location on which RIP my CD. I have a feeling that I changed the name of the previous location on my HDD external file, so the media player can not find more. When I look to see where they were tearing to, the box is empty, and when I click on "change...". "in the few rip options, nothing happens at all.
If I right click on the CD Rip file, I get the error message:
Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you try to read, burn or sync an item that is in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted.
Any ideas?
Anyone who sees this, rea thread cannot not rip CD, can not change the info of the album he answered my question in a few seconds and the problem is now resolved.

After the upgrade to Firefox 4.0, I returned to Firefox 3.6 because plug-ins, such as Media Player, would not work just with 4.0. They now work with 4.0.1?
I used WMP plugin with Firefox 4 since its release.
The problem is probably because she couldn't find the WMP plugin. One way around this problem is to install the HTML5 Extension for Windows Media Player Firefox plugin available from http://www.interoperabilitybridges.com/html5-extension-for-wmp-plugin
This add-on will do 2 things, it will install the WMP plugin in a place that can find Firefox 4, it will also add an extension to add additional functionality for use by Windows Media Player. This extension has been reported as causing memory leaks, so I recommend that once you install the HTML5 Extension for Windows Media Player Firefox plugin, you must restart Firefox then uninstall the extension. The extension uninstaller will not remove the plugin, Firefox 4 will still be able to use it.
