Mr. Inzer, thank you for taking the time to try to help me.  Yes, I'm under XP PRO SP 3.  My Rip rate has always been set at 192kb.  However, I had to copy a CD, but will only rip to mp3 or WAV (lossless).  It will not yet be rip in "Any" of the Media Player parameters-Media Pro, Media lossless, etc..  I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I learn a lot with the help of people like you. Thank you.  I think I'm stuck extraction of all future CD to mp3 or WAV on my computer?  Thank you once again, RickJ41

  • Windows media player will not rip CD

Windows media player allows me to listen to my new cd, but it won't let me tear. It pops up saying "windows media player is unable to extract one or more tracks from the CD. Its only a few days old and works perfectly fine with no scratches.

    Try these wesbsites

  • Windows media player will not play any audio CD

When the game is selected, it scrolls through the list of titles and then stops.  It is on a work computer running Windows XP SP 2 and using roaming profiles.  Another user is able to play the cd on this computer and this user is able to play the same cd on another computer.  I tried the update of Media Player 9 for Media Player 11 but no change.  I tried to delete the user profile directory and not recreating also no change.

So, your best bet would be to rename your profile.  You will probably need an administrator to rename your profile.

    Reach:
    C:\Documents and settings
Rename your profile, simply add .old the end of it.
When you reconnect, a new profile will be generated, and you should have music again.

For any additional help click web help. "Then I do. Nothing here helps me. The player shows all my music but puts little red x showing that he can't play. Help! I downloaded version 11 of Windows Media Player, but it is saying the same thing.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    1. don't you also get an error with the message code?
2 have you installed third-party readers part?
    3. What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would have you readers of third party temporarily Uninstall and check if persists it to the question.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.

  • Windows Media Player does not recognize the new downloaded songs

    I have a Pavilion a4310f Prod Nr: race AY014AA-ABA, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I just found out that Windows Media Player does not recognize the songs, I recently downloaded from Wal-Mart music download Site.  The songs can be seen in the music library in a folder called 'Downloads' and I can open each song and he will play when double-clicked.  The problem is that I can't create a playlist containing the new songs and burn a copy of the reading list, because the songs are not listed in the Media Library Player any hot it is sorted (artist, Album, Genre, etc.).

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Mitch

    Problem solved!

Went to: start == > Control Panel == > troubleshooting == > view all == > and ran troubleshooting on the library and the settings of WMP.

Convenience store detected library corrupt and "in media files appear in the WMP library.  Then ran convenience store on WMP settings which reset OMP to default settings.  After that, everything worked as announced.

Thanks to Big_Dave for putting me on the right track.

  • Windows Media Player is not installed correctly. Reinstall the drive.

I am running XP Home and WMP v11. I get the following message when I try and play some files: "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly. Reinstall the drive.

In the past I had to go back to WMP 10 to 9 and reinstall when this happened, but when I triedthis method , this time it did not work and said that he could not uninstall.

The songs have played fine on WMP in the past and they are the ones I've owned for years rather than months.

I can't think that I changed something on the PC to save this change, but clearly I.

    Any ideas?

Windows Media Player won't rip CD more. I put it in MP3 format. I get the COOD1OD2 error message, and by virtue of the clarification it indicates that the error message is COODOFBO which says that the setting of the CD in Device Manager do not match parameter of cd in the drive. I use to be able to rip the CD months ago. I just upgraded to WMP 11 because the sansa clip has not been recognized and updated WMP. How can I fix this.
