Media Player sound quality is poor.

Why the audio in its _crap___ Media Player? I can play the same tracks with Realplayer and it sounds good, so I know that all the speakers are connected in law, there must be a problem with Windows Media Player.

I tried to adjust the settings in Realtek Audio Manager and the equalizer in the drive, but it does not help.

Hi korn11,

Try disabling optional speaker effects that are collectively known as improvements. If the disabling effects speaker solves the problem, it means generally that there is an underlying problem with your audio driver. If an updated driver is available, we recommend that install you it so that you can re-enable improvements audio speaker.

To disable improvements audio speaker

1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

2. on the playback tab, click speakers, and then click Properties.

3. click on the tab improvements and then check the disable all enhancements .

If you do not see the enhancements tab in the speakers properties dialog box, these features are not available for your speakers, and this procedure is not applicable to your computer.

If disabling audio enhancements solves the audio problem you are having, this indicates usually that your audio driver needs to be updated. If disabling audio enhancements does not resolve the problem, contact your computer manufacturer for assistance.

  • Why media player video quality suffers in windowed mode?

    Hello

I made a video with CamStudio. I'm trying to minimize the size of the file, so it is not too demanding on the bandwidth, or does not make a too large download. But because I am doing a demo of website, I need to keep nice and sharp text for readability.

To this end, I've changed my screen resolution down to the native 1600 x 1200 at 1280 x 720, it's the ideal resolution for the site, changed the capture of CamStudio affecting "full screen" and created my video.

The problem arises when I reset to 1600 x 1200 and try to play the video in Media Player: if I switch to full screen, the video is great - sharpness. If I change to windowed mode * even if I increase the window to be almost full screen * (which is much larger than 1280 x 720) then the text of the video is showing signs of having been resized.

Now, I'm sure that isn't a problem with Media Player, CamStudio, but can I do for video replays in the same size and quality in windowed mode and full screen?

(The only possible problem CamStudio is the avi file properties show the screen size to 1600 x 1200, even if it was recorded when the wreck was created in 1280 x 720) Maybe it's confuzzling Media Player?)

Any help would be appreciated! Soon :)

    Hello

The problem occurs only with the videos created using Camstudio?

Set the resolution of 1600 x 1200 and then save the video. Check if the problem occurs again.

You can also post your query on Camstudio forums to get help.

  • Windows Media Player sound only during video playback

Windows Media Player won't PLAY VIDEO (MOVIES); ONLY SOUND CAN BE HEARD.

Can someone please?  I go crazy - my windows media player will not play anything except the sound on videos (films are so far the problem).  She claims codecs are updated automatically, I'm too scared to download some unknown codec. I tried everything I know to do and I'm not too bad to understand such things.  I am now at a loss.  What is the problem here? Volunteer J ~ THANK YOU very MUCH FOR THE REPLY! I WILL RESPECT ALL THE SOLUTIONS YOU HAVE TO OFFER!  From what I can tell, they are my videos (movies) transferred from the cd to the media player.  Videos of "sample" provided pre work ok.  My films all have the extension .avi at the end, that's why I don't understand why they will play only the sound of the film, not the actual Visual part. . AVI should be accompanied by my windows media player.  As I said, I'm pretty decent to deal with such things as a result of working with a lot of "technicians" in recent years; This is why I do not bother anyone here, but I am at a loss for what to do. If it's codecs, I don't want to take the risk to download a bad codec and corrupting my system.  Already checked the updates of Media player, there are not available at this time.  She has also set to automatically download codecs.  Man, it drives me crazy!  ConfusedOne70 aka Michelle

  • No media player sound recording live TV

Hi people, I have a problem with Windows 7 in record mode Live Tv (planned or not) I'm under edition Full 64-bit Windows 7 Home premium with an AMD processor Athlon 64 dual core with 4 GB of Ram.     I only have the problem with the TV Live recorded using Media Center.  It is a little of her, but only the sounds of outskirts the main track of noise IE voice is missing and the other sounds a bit muted... All other recording and playback and sound system devices and software are fine.  I use my advice on sound card ALC97 with latest drivers available 32/64 bit, My Tv tuner is Aver Media H788 hybrid PCIe with the latest drivers for 32/64-bit.

I lived to see that all the devices and the sliders are in the right position and setting each option of control panel and carefully searched.  I can hear the sound when I simply want to play a live TV program and the sound was better with the installation of Windows 7 than it has ever been using XP. Just this problem with Media Player.  After all what good is a record if there is no sound?

I've disabled my advice on Realtek sound and installed a Turtle Beach Riviera 5.1 sound card and their new drivers 64-bit Windows 7 and everything works perfectly now.  I use AVER MEDIA H 788 and H788 hybrid tuners.  I installed them with OBVERSE latest drivers for 64-bit Windows 7 and I had absolutely no problems whatsoever with them.  Able to record 2 channels at the time each time and records perfectly and with the Voyetra card the sound is great.  Highly recommend AVER Tuner cards for easy installation and great drivers with Windows 7.

  • The sound quality is poor on the Bluetooth headset while using the Bluetooth dongle

Original title: Bluetooth with apt - x audio problem

    Hi, this is my situation.

    • Windows 8 installed on the PC.
    • Have a Bluetooth Sennheiser MM500 x with apt x helmet
    • Have a Sennheiser BTD500 USB dongle to connect headsets to PC.
    It is:
Sound works, but the sound quality is very poor. Also very low microphone level.
    For purposes of disposal processes:
    • Have connected these headphones using headphones - audio jack perfect
    • Connected headset to another for TV and PC bluetooth dongle (which uses the headphone) - audio perfect
    • Appropriately high sound levels (mean level appropriate, but not obvious)
In "playback devices" I am unable to click on the button set up (it is grayed out). Therefore impossible to then select a stereo sound.
I don't think that there is a problem with my headphones or usb dongle. Believe is a matter of windows 8.
Help, please! I'm about to throw my PC out the window!

I'm the original poster. I tried everything, could not solve the problem. So I sold the helmet and moved my life! Haha. Good luck to all.

  • Windows Media Player sound works, but not video

I recently had to restore my laptop to an earlier version, because it wouldn't start properly. Now when I try to open the video files from an SD card in Windows Movie Maker, the thumbnail will be clearly visible when I click i to watch the entire video, I get is sound and a black screen. • Get on static and the poor quality of his CD in Windows Media Player

Recently, I have developed a problem with burning CDs in Windows Media Player.  The CD has a lot of static and the sound quality is poor.  I use discs Memorex CD - RW that I used in the past no problem at all.  I had my car CD player checked and it is fine.  Any ideas?

    Hi AnitaSliman,

Yes, CD - R audio discs is a better choice.

The reason to use the new CD/DVD is the number of times you use rewritable CD/DVD, the quality decreases.

Please do not hesitate to contact us back, in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • No sound in 3g 2 files, error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player does not support the format you are trying to play. »

Original title: cannot get audio from video .3g2 (Windows 7)

I have a number of videos that were recorded on a Motorola phone to format .3g2, when I played against them in windows XP Pro using what was the most recent media player, they played very well and the audio was present.

I've since upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and have found that videos will play with media player sound is not output.

I tried different players like VLC (same result, no sound) and came across one called SUPER from erightsoft which indeed works and allows me to re - encode to .wmv BUT when I do and you try to read the .wmv I encounter an error:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player does not support the format you are trying to play. »

When I clikc on help, I am led to a page with links on THIS forum.

    So here I am.

    Thank you

    Hi UbinTook,

You found this message from Windows Media Player due to one of the following reasons.

    a. you try to play a file that is not supported by the player.
    b. you are trying to play a file that the player does not support, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

    Step 1:

Confirm that you are trying to play a supported file type. The following article lists the types of files (formats) supported by Windows Media Player.

Information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player

Note: if you have tried to play the file type is included in this table, the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

    Step 2:

Download the necessary codec to play the file.
