Media Player won't play my dlna Server files

Howdy. I'm listening to music stored on my phone to my laptop android using Windows media player. I have Windows Vista and Media player 11.

I use a Motorola Droid Bionic.  My phone is able to locate the files on the PC, but never, Media player recognizes or load the files from the phone.

The phone is on the network. I see that in the network window. Also, I welcomed the "unknown device" that appears in the media sharing in Media Player, but never, it load or display the files on my phone that I can play.

I looked in the "Add library...". ' option to see if there was a file on my phone that I needed to have the Media Player monitor, but nothing shows. The radial button for ' my folders and those of others that I can access "is selected.

Any suggestions of what I should try next?

ZIP files are compressed, so you need to unzip and then play the content if the
content is of type WMP files.

Which was probably that there was a lack of understanding between the container file and the codec here (in November 2013).  He says he's a "MOV" does not mean that he plays with the same codecs as all other MOV files.  ;-)

  • Windows Media Player suddenly stopped playing my movie Torrent files!

My Windows Media Player has stopped playing my torrent files. He plays music very well, but my movie files (torrent) will no longer play. I was watching a movie on this subject earlier and I clicked on something that I should not have and all the files stopped working! When my computer detects what happened it gave me this message:

    A problem with Windows Vista
Windows Vista has stopped working properly.

This problem has been resolved in Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1).

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Determine if your type of operating system 32-bit or 64-bit.

How will I know if my system type is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Click the Start button, right-click computer, and then click Properties.

Under system, you can view the system type.

The average of 32-bit and 64-bit?

Both 32-bit and 64-bit refer manner that your computer (CPU) CPU processes information. The 32-bit versions and 64-bit Windows are designed for use in computers with 32-bit processors or 64-bit, respectively.

For more information, go online and read this article for Windows Vista online help:

  • Media Player will not play mp4 or mpeg1 files. When I try the system crashes and it goes to the blue screen of death

I'm running a quad core with 8 GB of windows 7 with office 2013 RAM.  All are clean installs.  When I try to play a video file on Media player my system breaks down and made a memory dump.  This also happens when I try and put a video in PowerPoint.  I am able to play these videos on QuickTime on the same machine.  The videos play fine on another machine of Windows 7 office 2013.  We use this system for presentations churches.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

    1. Do you have an error message when you play this video?
    2. What Media Player do you use?
    3. Did you recent hardware or changes to the software to the computer before the show?

I suggest using Windows Media Player, then try the following steps. This problem may occur because of codecs. A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.

  • Windows Media Player won't play videos

I have Windows XP Home Sp 3 with all updates.

There are three computers in my house, all with the same OS.

We'll play videos and memories on TV with Windows Media Player slideshows, but others will not.  Who will play has been longer and maybe have a better codec.  Otherwise, I don't know why.

I prepare a thesis on slide TV show which will be sent to about 100 people.  It is the DVD-R format and will probably be played on DVD players for which there should be no compatibility issues.  Some will want to see on their computers, however, and this is where the problem arises.  I use mostly WinDVD, so I have no problem, but what do the people who have that WMP?

I don't understand why WMP should do by default.  Do I say to people who want to see the DVD on his computer?

    Hello

You have converted this file to windows media player supported file types or they should have DVD decoder installed on the computer.
