  • My laptop does not connect to the internet, even if the wi - fi connection is available

OK, I have a netbook ASUS T-100 with windows 8.1. Yesterday, while I was downloading a game software, a notice came up saying "Windows Defender has blocked a program to run. I trusted the software so I went Windows Defender and allowed the program to run. But I discovered that the program could have the potential of harmful effects to other startup add-ons and programs download without my permission (even if during the installation of the software, I REFUSED any other unwanted programs being installed). So, I opened the Panel and uninstalled everything that has been downloaded.

This is where everything started to go weird. I thought everything was fine until I tried to open Google Chrome on my desk.  He said something like 'cannot be opened because this application may have been moved or copied. Same for Internet Explorer. I went on the start screen and tried to open Chrome and IE, but there was no answer. Then I thought maybe restart the laptop would be useful. So I restarted. Worst decision ever. After the reboot, there is no Chrome or IE. They simply disappeared! I tried to look for them, but it did not help.

I tried to download Chrome from the store, but it wouldn't connect to the internet (even if it was connected to my router). It showed an error «0x80072efd» I went Windows Network Diagnostics and tried to solve the problem, and something else end up - "the remote device or resource wont accept the connection". I looked on the internet and there are solutions saying to disable security. So I tried to turn off Windows Defender and firewall, but even once, that does not solve anything. One of the alternatives was to do a system restore, but I don't think that this is necessary, just?

P.S. I have an iPod touch and a family laptop that connects perfectly with WI - FI. Thus, there cannot be a router issue...

  • Windows Media won't play a DVD

How com windows media won't play a dvd, even with a decoder, I added this morning?

I'm having the same problem. My computer has Windows XP Professional Office. Media Player 11 is on it. But when I try to play a DVD, it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer" is not Media Player got it own decoder? I don't want to download some other decoder from another provider that I don't know. I got Windows Media Player on every computer I've ever owned and have never had problem reading DVD or something else. What is the problem and how to fix it? My computer has a DVD driver... and yet I can't watch DVDs... makes no sense...

And yes the DVD play on other computers and DVD player to the TV. Not a scratch above. Nothing wrong with the DVD. ANY DVD will not play the computer, with the fact that I have a problem...
And Yes, I am talking about Windows Media Player.

    =================================================

A DVD decoder is not included with Windows XP...
so, we need to be acquired and installed from a third
the party source. If your system has one when it was new...
It would have been included in your OEM software
package... maybe you always for her installation disk.

FWIW... the free VLC Media Player can play DVDs

  • When I play a DVD on Windows Media Player I get almost no noise through the external speaker on my laptop

Original title: no volume when playing DVDs

When I play a DVD on Windows media player I get almost no sound through the external speaker on my laptop. I get some, but it is too weak to really enjoy the movie. If I use headphones I can hear the DVD very well, and I can hear the clips DVD sample provided with my computer on my speakers and headphones. If the computer can generate the volume correctly, but something goes wrong, whenever I try to play a DVD that is not on my hard drive. I tried every button volume already. Thank you

    Hi amorchien,

    1. He played very well earlier?

2 have you tried to play the DVD in another computer?

    Step 1:

    In Windows Media Player.

    a. click on tools and select Options

    b. click on devices and click on DVD, then select Properties.

    c. make sure that Rip and playback are in digital mode.

    Step 2:

This problem can be caused by incompatible codecs. I suggest that remove you / uninstall all installed third-party codec packs, players or video record programs.

  • Error Message - Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection

I received the following message when trying to play a DVD:Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection. Try to install a driver available for your video card. I'm confused that nothing has been changed, added, or updated my system up-to-date. I am running Windows 7 Premium home 64-bit edition. DVD plays fine on my laptop with the same operating system.

    CORRECTION OF THE PROBLEM.

I can confirm that it is a matter of the DVD CSS protection. MediaPlayer, being unable to decrypt the DVD protection.

Googled around for "DVD43". The installation program will install a driver that will successfully decrypt DVD protection and will allow you to PLAY the DVD MOVIE ONCE AGAIN!

Well, that's an alternative. All what I can say is that Microsoft Media Player is broken!
  • E5 - 573G laptop 56RG breaks down when you try to play a game with the Nvidia GeForce 940 M processor.

Whenever I try to play a game using the Nvidia card on the laptop Aspire E5 56RG - 573 G computer goes to a blue screen and gives the error "Video_Schedular_Internal_error" before restarting.

All the games that I tried to run by using the processor 940 m 7200LE crashed the PC.

Minecraft, Star Trek Online, dungeons and Dragons Online and Neverwinter all crash as soon as the game is loading all the graphics. All the games work very well using the processor 5500 on-board Intel HD graphics but way less detailed than the 940 m from Nvidia is capable of.

I've updated to the latest Nvidia drivers twice now (Oct and Nov references) with the help of installs clean. I also tried the Nvidia driver on the support page from Acer for the serial number of this PC. I've updated to the last update of the bios on the page of Support as well. Again, the PC crashes when you try to play a game using the Nvidia graphics processor.

My operating system is windows 10.

Most of the error information I could find said it is a driver problem or I have a faulty video card. Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

Cerealkiddo on Nvidia forums has found a real solution to the problem.

    1. download MSI Afterburner.

    2. change the base to-13 clock and clock from memory to-15.

    3. save in a profile and apply the changes.

Make sure you only keep afterburner running everything at stake.

This is Underclocks not GPU slightly and stops the BSOD hangs.

I played Skyrim for about 4 hours now maxed out graphic with map selected Nvidia and he collapsed once, while before this fix, it would break the pc after 2 minutes of play on any parameter using the nvidia card.

Keep Afterburner running everything at stake. I turned it off to test and games went immediately to crashing after a few minutes of play. He turned back and was able to play games once again without any problems.

  • Laptop play outloud sounds when the headphones are connected.

I have a laptop HP Pavillion with Windows 7 Home Premium, with a built-in microphone. I use my microphone on my computer to make Skype calls using the Skype program. I plug the headphones in my phone to hear what other people are saying in my Skype calls, however when I do this, other sounds coming from my computer are read aloud and do not get played in my helmet, so all those who are in the call to Skype with me can hear some sounds I play my computer.

I would make sure all the sounds my laptop plays at all always go in the headphones and do not always play outloud as not to disturb the other memebrs in my Skype calls. Please help :( Is there a solution to this?

  • Cannot play a DVD in Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 12

I checked the other forum questions and answers, but my problem seems to be slightly different.
I made a family DVD about a month ago using Pinnacle Studio 11.  When my computer laptop (Dell Inspiron 1720) had Vista Home Premium installed.  I tested the DVD ended up on five different DVD players (Sony, Panasonic, etc) and in all cases, the picture and sound were good.
I installed Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 12 worm a week ago, and now when I play my DVD on my laptop nothing happens - just a black screen.  No error message and of course no picture and no sound.  Commercial DVDs play fine.

There is no other monitors connected to my computer which has been also dotted with specifically for the work of video editing.  The DVD was made in the same area he plays, so it can't be the problem.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I can try.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Haydn

Click run now then run and then Yes.

  • I can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Pro and get this error msg: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

    • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
    • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
    • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
    • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
    • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
    • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
    • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
    • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
    • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
    • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!
