Of course, when I look through the Flash publish html it of all there and works perfectly. When I play it in Dreamweaver it seems good too.

  Based on the url, I would say that this has to do with the location of the swf file:

  For some reason any flash video gets buggy when the location of the skin is in a different folder, the swf file. Try to move the skin file to the same level as the SWF calling on it, as follows:

  I don't know why this happens, but the flv and skin.swf seem to work best when they are all in the same folder as the main swf file.

  design decisions, like beauty, is your call.  but, if you like the idea of leaves and a navigation system that is not particularly easy to use, create a few leaves in your tree that stand out any.  they may not be big and certainly not large enough to display their text.  but the passage of the mouse, they could expand and see their text.

• My Shockwave Flash for Firefox (and IE) plugin causes computer/browser crash & restart, but only for the worms. 10.2 +. 10.1 & below, no problem. Any difficulty?

  I had this persistent problem of Shockwave Flash crash my system and causing an automatic my PC restart, as soon as I try to play flash videos (any browser, in fact). However, as long as I keep my flash to version 10.1 and not update it, it works fine. The problem is how long can I keep it like that until some future tweak of the same general Web site if flash sites that prevent work?

  I want to know if there is a fix so that I can install future versions of the Shockwave Flash plugin and actually make it work so I don't have to use such an archaic version of the Flash more (gag, even if I say this, I again Flash, it's so awkward in any version, I wish websites would turn to some other standard videos already).

  If anyone has an answer, please let me know. (My computer works on Windows XP with Firefox 12, either said by the way. Oh and I would love it if there was a way to get Firefox to work on the iPad, Safari is such a crude, childish browser, it has almost no Add-ons useful or features custom at all.)

  I just noticed that, in the subject line of your message, you specify the ActiveX of Flash for IE version causes the same problem. I wonder if there could be a problem with your graphics card driver software. Have you checked the firmware updates?

• Integration flash in website problem

  I've been using Flash for about 5 hours now... been using Photoshop for-ev-er but havn't touched a lot of Flash at all, but I know he can do exactly what I need...

  I am building a relatively simple html Web site, but it has a somewhat limited for the text area, so I want to make a scrolling of text with a static background region.

  I looked at the different tutorials about two dozens (literally) and got it work and even it's data from a txt file so that I can swap different files for different pages. (although I really need to read the markup, so I can have the formatting, how I do that?)

  But back to the real problem...

  I have three items on my page: a background, a text box and a scroll bar.

  When I pulled out and view it in flash, it works perfectly, the functions of the scroll bar and the text scrolls.

  When I embed in the html page, the text shows, but the scroll bar is just flat gray and text scrolling does not work. I know action script works correctly because it does work when I use it only on his own.

  What Miss me?

  It should because when you test locally, loads of text if soon there is no problem with the properties of the scroll bar being assigned until the text is assigned.  When it takes more time to load the text, the scroll bar properties are probably affected before the text is assigned.

  This link is further down in my answer, but you might miss it.

  Since you want people to see your flash intro before your html page, you will need to rename your existing html page into something like homepage.html. When people go to your domain name, names of files such as indexes, by default (I think there could be some others) is automatically loaded first. For this reason, your intro in flash (when placed in a html page) should be named index.html.

  After you create your intro in flash, export it to a swf file. Go to DW and create a new html page (must be a container for your flash intro). On the DW menu bar, click Insert, then the media, then Flash. You can create a table or a div tag before hand to center the flash file (then he would just insert the flash file in this div tag or table).

  If you download my example herestuff, you'll see a flash document, swf file, the index.html page, that holds the SWF of flash intro, a hopepage.html file, and a DW file creates automatically when you insert the Flash content. Download the zip file and save it in a temp folder somewhere. go to Windows Explorer (assuming you're on a PC) and double-click the index.html page (I don't know if your browser asks you whether it is allowed to run scripts, but it's just the script of DW to the flash). You should see the 10 seconds of the intro flash, then you will be redirected to the homepage.html file when the intro is done. If you look at the flash document, on the last layer, where I have the script, there is an absolute path (currently commented) and a relative path. This path will allow you to test this without having to upload to a server. In order to verify all of this on a server, you need to download all the files and folders on a server (you can create a test folder on the server to put these files in). Make sure that you change the code of the document flash for the absolute path and comment from that relative and do not forget to change the domain in your name, export the flash file, and download the new SWF as well as other files and folders. Then, go to yourDomainName.com/test, and you should see everything. I don't know how else to explain it all...

  The directory structure, at least for linux, seems to have changed for version 21. I have my distribution of firefox / opt/firefox /, and so far I keep the plugin flash in/opt/firefox/plugins /. Verse 21, the plugin directory should be/opt/firefox/browser/plugins/EC directory does not exist by default. You can create or mv just the old directory of plugin to the new location
