Memory of cleaning blackBerry Smartphones

What is the memory cleaning option for? Can I activate or leave this option off?

When a block of memory is no longer used, it is marked as stackable.  The data is always there.  Cleaner memory scrubs actually free memory so that it is not accessible if the memory had to be removed from the device.  It is not necessary for most users.

    Hi Forum,

My question is, when you go to 'OPTIONS' - 'Security Options' - then 'Advanced Security Options"you will see what is called"GARBAGE COLLECTION ".

Under garbage collection there are things under "Registered cleaners" who say that if you want to 'clean up the content. What does do? I've never done in 2 years.

Is this similar to clean your browser cache? If anyone could enlighten me on this subject, it would be great.

  • Internal memory of damaged blackBerry Smartphones

Pls I seriously need help as soon as possible, my blackberry "BOLD" 9900 always wonder repair when I connect to a power supply or from my laptop, but when I click on fix it doesn't, rather my fone remains in this way (hanging) until eternity, I have to do a hard reset before it happens again , and when I do a hard reset, I get a message saying "eception exception: net.rim.vn.StackOverflowError ' the only way use the fone is now refusing to fix when he asks because it will just hang my fone and stay like that unless I do a hard reset, pls help me, I have no money for a new phone!

I recommend doing a clean reload of the OS on your device:

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

2 make a manual backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry. You can get the BlackBerry Desktop Software here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

    3. download the OS from step 1 of the file on the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also, check the following locations for the vendor.xml file and delete all instances of the file:

On Windows Vista/7, go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research in XML Motion\BlackBerry\Loader (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

On Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application is In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

    5. If you simply update the operating system to a newer version, skip this step. If making a clean OS reloads use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a full backup), then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) then go to the next step.

    6. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader

  • Map of memory Please Help blackBerry Smartphones

I'm sure it's something very simple, but I'm dominant or do not understand something.

I bought a 2 GB Sandisk micro chip to install in my Blackberry give me more memory for images, ringtones, video and basically all the purposes of media. It is my understanding that this will not help with text, emails, etc... But it's OK.

Right now I have pictures and ringtones stored on the "memory of the device. How can I get my photos off the coast of "the device memory" and on 2 GB memory chip? The "memory" is not very big at all when you start recording images and ring tones, where the reason I took the memory chip.

Do I have to format the chip after it is installed? Do I have to create a new folder? How this thing works to my advantage, because in this moment everything is still on the device memory. Thanks much for any help.

    Cory

In applications that you capture things (video, photos, etc.), it should be an option to set to store things on your device memory or Media card... Check out options to see what is there.

To make a difference, it would probably be easier to configure your BB as a pair of USB drives... which way you use Windows Explorer to manage the movement of files and other. Here are the instructions to do this:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.ID=3...

Some files you may or may not be able to move - preloaded images, ringtones and others don't (I think) available to be moved to the media card.

    Good luck!

  • Increasing memory Flash of blackBerry Smartphones?

Flash memory plus can be installed on a Bold 9000?

    Thank you

I understand that the "BOLD" has 256 while the storm has 1 G flash memory makes it run faster?

There are 3 types of storage, and not all devices are the same.

    The OS main memory

    Storage internal

    Removable flash Micro SD storage

The primary operating system cannot be added too but the compensation on applications unnecessary programs, files, etc. can free more memory.

The internal memory cannot be upgraded either, but clean place files can help or unloading to different means of storage.

The removable Micro SD can be changed to a larger capacity that supports the operating system.

16 gig is bigger that I can find now.

Nope. Can not do anything... it's been posted in this forum of thousands of times.

    Little memory on your device?

First thing? Check the file without Options > status, what is the number to the free file?
Now, leaving the device turned on, remove the battery from your device, hold a minute, to replace and restart. What is now the free file?

  • Memory of the blackBerry Smartphones phone wiped after update - HELP!

    Hello

I've just updated my blackberry software after that my computer asked me if I'd like to. Horror - the list of phonebook / contact (700 + phone numbers) has been completely gutted outside those who have e-mail addresses recorded. I need their return!

New sms format also means that I can't write the empty texts without specifying a recipient first and I can't add contacts to my directory of the text message - I have to call them, hang up and go from there. Can I revert to the software I was using before that it was better miles and had my numbers!

    Help please! See you soon

HI and welcome to the Forums!

Via this procedure, you can install (upgrade, downgrade, reload) any bundle of BONES that is your BB model number:

As you can see, it treats make a backup of your data before proceeding. When you did the update that you have been asked, he would have to offer to make a backup before he proceeded and then it should automatically did a restore when it was over. Something seems to have this, but I hope that the backup was already taken. Search your entire hard drive for files with the extension of the RPI (*.) IPD). Check the date and time of the results... the most recent is probably your best bet and if all goes well, was taken during the update. Use it as a source for restoring:

How can I move media to the map, everything goes to the device memory?

You can always remove the sd card and put it in the computer if you have the adapter.

also, if you have bluetooth, it is a quick way to transfer small files, takes too long with large!

    Hello!

Good find! And thanks for posting!

What happened in your case, it's the same with all computer peripherals. Because electricity passes through constantly, the connectors between the SD card and the BB becomes corroded over time with oxidation and the accumulation of 'stuff '. This 'trick' can hinder the good connection between the two. Remove and reinsert the card basically scrapes connectors against each other, scraping this kind of 'stuff' and allowing a good connection again. The common term for this is "re-seats".

I have a 8130 with software v 4.3.0.97. I installeed and formatted a 2 GB Sandisk Micro SD card Media settings are the following:

    Media card support: WE

    Encryption mode: NO

With the help of the Explorer Windows and TDM I transferred music, photos and files to the card. Music plays very well. I can see the photos. But whenever I click on a Word doc to open it, I get this message: unable to display file/media card/Blackberry/filename.doc
