• Lenovo R60 do not turn on with battery

  Hello Sir,

  I have laptop of lenovo thinkpad R60. A few days back, I used to get error message saying stuck key 44 when I turn on the laptop and when I press ESC it used at startup. After a few days my laptop does not run with the battery. But when I put the card connected on AC power, then my laptop is turning on.i does not work with my laptop for 2 days and when I turn on the laptop without external power, it works with the battery. Then I worked on it for 4 days with the stack and in time when I'm not working with the laptop, I used to charge the battery for 1 1/2 hour. Suddenly, I was again the same problem IE computer laptop is not turn on with the battery but light with external power. I read some of the forums and I removed my battery and pressing the power button for 50 seconds and immediately put the battery and turned on the laptop, but doesn't. Please solve my problem.

  As ajkula66 suggested, your battery needs replacement. If you can get a spare battery to view, share and check if it works very well.

• Many BSOD after installing Samsung SSD 840 pro in ThinkPad Lenovo R60

  Have an old Lenovo ThinkPad R60 with screen SD that I won't. After installing the Samsung SSD Pro 840 the BSOD started coming, now every week, the last one on today. I don't see the option to download the dump anywhere file, so I enclose a picture with - maybe - some info.

  Not at all surprising that involved C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\SYMEVENT. Pilot of the SYS Symantec event library.  I remove it and use MSE in its place

  Symantec is a common cause of BSOD.

• Hard drive and memory for Lenovo idea Pad S10

  I have a Lenovo idea Pad S10 and I love it.  Its a great little machine.  I would like to make one or two questions please.  Can on put a larger hard drive and how much memory is the maximum.  I currently have 2 GB of memory.

  Also, I tried to do my income tax using it - I uses Taxcut and tried to install it on and the machine said he couldn't make Taxcut.  I suppose that the system is not big enough to cope.  If true that I very well because I have a desktop computer, but I was just wondering if we can get a bigger hard drive and if it would make a difference.

  No complaints at all, it's a great machine.

  Memory 2 GB is the maximum... 500 GB HARD drive no problem... and at least

  High resolution > 1024 x 576/600 ...

  I'm sure that this question is already answered a few times. But what is the max memory than the 530 of edge can support. Some places say 16 gig and some (Lenovo including himself) 8gig.

  I just reinforced with the Lenovo purchase customizer ( http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/builder.workflow: enter? sb =: 00... ) for border E530 and 16 GB is offered as a choice. then you should be good to go.

  Could not find a way to open this computer. Search online everywhere and no luck. Nothing in the manual or the other. No screws anywhere. IM thinking it might be behind the stand, but cannot find a way to remove it either.

• Question AHCI Lenovo R60

  A user has a virus and deleted system files virus critical of windows, The IT guy working this day there used a Dell disk to do a repair of windows, needless to say he would give us errors. It locks the user offline because it does not work if you enable it and she made mistake and hang upward at a desk empty. Which is what you want using a Dell on an IBM disk.

  So I got a Windows XP SP3 OEM disk and I tried to do a repair using, but it will not find the hard drives because of the hard disks running in AHCI mode. I was going to try to put into service in SATA mode just to make the repair, then from new, but I've heard that this can damage the drive. -That someone has already tried this?

  So I tried using Raid drivers I found on this site, through floppy drive and disk windows still can't find drives

  I also tried using the F6 key and a few other generic drivers for the Raid system and they do not work either, can you send me the correct drivers or let me know if change the BIOS from AHCI SATA works just as well, for now I'll try and back up the PC to an image that switch so if I'm not looking for the BIOS I get the saved data.

  You must move the reader to the compatibility rather than mode AHCI mode. ACHI is the SATA mode, while the compatibility mode is the BIOS a compatible player for disc SATA hard of loading and window sees as a PATA drive.

• Upgrade memory R60: 667 or 800 mhz?

  I intend to upgrade the memory of my R60.

  They have has two options, which are equal cost:

  -2x2gb DDR2 PC2 - 6400 CL5 (800 mhz)

  -2x2gb DDR2 PC2-5300 (667 MHz) CL4

  two of them kingston HyperX or ValueRAM

  I think I have the 800 mhz version, which could be "more compatible" with perhaps of future machines, but only if they work in my R60 course at 667 mhz (ideally to CL4, but I don't like).

  Is this possible? There are problems to be expected?

  R60 to 667 mhz, but the version 800 ram usage will work also, but only to the 667 mhz speed.

• Need help or advice on adding memory to X 230 compressed

  I use a X 230 Tablet, 3434CTO, with 8 GB of RAM (two sticks of memory 4 GB 1600HHz, factory-installed).

  My operating system is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

  Memory usage is often in the 80% + range and the machine slows to be functionally useless.

  I want to go to 12 or, where appropriate, 16 GB of RAM.

  The part recommended by Lenovo is:

  Memory SODIMM Lenovo 8 GB DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600 MHz)

  What I have to swap the two sticks of memory of 4 GB or can swap one?

  You can trade one or both of the old RAM. Up to 12 GB of ram is fine. My X230t has been bundled with configuration 2 + 4 concerts.

  OK, so I got this new laptop Lenovo B50-70 with 4 GB of memory, I have an old x55a of laptop ASUS with 4 GB of memory, this lenovo, I learned 2 ram slots, and only 1 is in use! So I was wondering if I cana take the old memoey of this ASUS and place it in LENOVO! They match? And also I want to know your opinion if is allowed to do okay No.! THX!

  According to the request, we understood that you encounter a problem with the graphics card in your laptop Lenovo B50-70.

  As you mentioned that you are not able to use the AMD graphics, please check in the BIOS under the configuration tab if the switchable graphics option is available. Try to move the graph and check the issue.

  If still the same issue trying to choose graphics UMA on the configuration tab and check for the issue.

  You can use the 1333 MHz and it will work, but the system can still operate at 1066 Mhz and will probably be.

  Memory RAM Lenovo should work just fine in your HP machine if it's for a laptop, desktop RAM will not work in a laptop. You won't do harm to nothing by trying, it will either work or it won't.

Then they were replaced with new hard drive, after that, I tried to install windows XP on my laptop, then it displays message as hard disk drivers are not installed then where can I get these drivers.   If you attempt to load a generic copy of XP pro operating system, then you must change the SATA from BIOS to ACHI mode to compatibility.
