  I hope it's good advice for that matter. I have a brand new HP Envy M7-K111DX. I put the password for, but when I put in what I thought, it was the password, it tells me it is incorrect. I tried many variations.  I foolishly do not write it down but was a good indication. Is there a way to reset the password?

• Memory replacement for OptiPlex 380, 390, and 780

  I ordered KVR13N9S8/4 4 GB PC3 - 10600 CL9 to serve memory replacement for these models. I needed to use one to replace a bad stick in a glue 5 380 and all, I ordered see the bad in all 3 models. The original stick in the machine of the factory is Hynix HMT351U6BFR8C 4 gb 2Rx8 PC3 - 10600U, is there a reason why these sticks Kingston will not work in these models?

• Envy 15 K2T37AV: Replace digitizer for Envy 15-Instructions and void the warranty?

  I dropped my computer a few days ago from cracking of the digitizer, but not the LCD screen. The display still works, and I'm debating whether to pay to fix it or just do it myself or ask at a local store to do. My questions are:

  (1) do I have to dissect your laptop to replace the digitizer, or y at - it a simple way to just pull the digitizer off the LCD display and replace it?

  (2) in doing so void my warranty? Especially if I don't really have to unscrew anything, and given that the display is not covered by the warranty anyway, if it voids the warranty on everything else?

  (3) if I go with it, what is the model number of the digitizer and are there instructions I could follow?

  I have a parity error on my base memory and get the Windows blue screen with the error massage at any time. This memory can not officially replaced by the user. Then this memory being replaced without replacing the motherboard? Are the avilable to repair manuals to replace this memory myself? How can I get them?

  I think that it of possible to replace the two RAM modules as I know the M40X does not support an internal memory, but the motherboard supports two removable memory slots and RAM modules.

  The point is that the other memory module (not expandable by the user) can be hidden somewhere under the keyboard.
  In order to change the RAM module, you will need to remove first the keyboard (fixed with two screws under the thin plastic cover)

  But be careful, if you want to remove the keyboard it s connected to the motherboard with the flat cable

  Is it possible to (reasonably) to upgrade the memory on these laptops?  The guide of the online maintenance I found indicates that there is 1 GB on the system board and supported a location of memory that supports up to 4 GB, but it is referenced as "not accessible, extensible client."  I'm in disbelief that books of envy is not extensible.  Does anyone have experience or knowledge with the VK918AV?  Thanks in advance for any idea!

  There is a single location for a regular full size SATA HDD. However, you can add a hard drive giving the DVD drive and use of an adapter. Or, there is a slot on the motherboard to a hard drive of the MSSD m2 but installing a drive it takes serious disassembly.

  It is a version of the motherboard with 850M 4 gigabytes video but to get it, you will need to find one of these motherboards and replace it for you. Once again, a very difficult and costly process.

  It was delivered with a memory DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4). The number of portable computer product is E0Z72EA #ABF

  -I can't find the exact memory type anywhere. What is 12800 1600 Mhz @ 1.35v OR @1 .50V PC? The tension is important between 1.35 and 1.5V?

  -Is it possible to spend 8 GB (2 x 4 to 16 GB (2 x 8)) or 8 GB is the maximum memory?

  -Finally, if it is possible to upgrade to 16 GB, which is the ideal CL and 11 11 11 28 ok or I can take for example 9 9 9 24 without any damage?

  My son managed to break the touch screen (Digitizer) (the LCD is fine). I've been advised by Hp that I can replace the screen display only (plastics, bezel, mic, screen, etc.) which is out of stock and very expensive.

  Can someone tell me where I can get a replacement screen and a digitizer without having to buy anything else?

  I have been informed that the screen is stuck on the digitizer, if it does not buy just the digitizer?

  All suggestions from suppliers etc. would be greatly appreciated as I am struggling now after having exhausted what I can find on google.

  Present 716398-001 699378-001 are the only numbers I have for HP. Both replace the entire screen. You may be able to find other options available, but I would not be able to recommend other options.
