Hello

IM using forms 6i. Im not able to view the message on the screen to work. with the help of alert, we can do it.

But I want to show the message on the screen of work using message built in.

The following code does not work,

You may not like form builder says.

I will reference using the form which will be clearer for you.
Acknowledgement is the parameter that we can use in integrated MESSAGE. Also, this is the default value.
And if you want to display message as alert then you need to use two consecutive messages. It then displays as alert. Because the acknowledgment is the default or defined by you.

But if you are going to use NO_ACKNOWLEDGE with two consecutive messages. Then message will never come as a warning. Because there is no defined NO_ACKNOWLEDGE.

So in short, if you want to display the alert message using the built-in MESSAGE then you need to use two consecutive messages.

Parameters

message_string:     Specify a character string enclosed in single quotes or a variable of VARCHAR2 data type.
user_response:     Specifies one of the following constants: 

ACKNOWLEDGE  Specifies that Form Builder is to display a modal alert that the operator must dismiss explicitly, whenever two consecutive messages are issued. ACKNOWLEDGE forces the first message to be acknowledged before the second message can be displayed.  This is the default.
NO_ACKNOWLEDGE:  Specifies that, when two consecutive messages are issued,  the operator is not expected to respond to the first message displayed before Form Builder displays a second message.  Using NO_ACKNOWLEDGE: creates a risk that the operator may not see the first message, because the second message immediately overwrites it without prompting the operator for acknowledgement.

    I have oracle forms 10g (9.0.4) version, I want to display message via builtin MESSAGE in the message bar before it works very well (for the existing exe it works fine again) but now for forms newly created, it does not display messages in the bar I did search and found that we should use builtin SYNCHRONIZE to display the message but no difference , I'm so frustrated why this is happening all the forms I created before works fine and view messages without any problems (it's only for messages I want to display in the message bar other message box works as usual), is only for newly created forms.

    Please, try the following:

    -Open your form module
    -Select the name of the module
    -Press on F4
    -In the palette property, select the FUNCTIONAL section
    -Select property: the Console window
    -Value should be: the current window in your module. For example, if the window in your module is WINDOW1, then select WINDOW1 console VALUE window.

    Should allow you to see the messages through th emessage integrated.

    A 'friend' has corrupted my desktop old/standby with Vista PC.  After it starts, I get a message in a DOS window that reads "C; \Users\*my' is not recognized as a builtin or external operable program or batch file.  General programmes seem to be running in the background, but the screen is dark except for the DOS window.  Can anyone help?

    If it doesn't, try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft

    Sought to follwed and previous forum information steps to unload the upper and lower registry filters but none are included.

    Have you tried devcon in back and get the followin message "devcon is not recognized as a builtin or external operable program or batch file."
    'Fix It' have tried without success
    Bought new dvd but still get the same results.

  • Mail is always "Download Messages".

    I noticed that Apple Mail is always "Download Messages".  This process will occur approximately every 10 minutes.  This is usually between 250 and 270 messages.  (screenshot)  However, there is no double or extra emails.  In addition, the number of downloaded emails usually does not change (perhaps by 1 or 2 later in the day).

    I have 4 email accounts in Mail, which are all Gmail accounts.  I went through each account settings and made sure they are all handled in the same way and have the same options are checked.

    I think I found the problem with account, because I tried with the right button and select "Take account offline" when I see that it starts to download the messages.  Once I have put offline, the download stops.  I tried to remove this suspected account and Add again, but it still does the same thing.  Any help would be appreciated!

    If I understand your message just Mail on your Mac continues to show that it Downloads hundreds of mails every 10 minutes.   • Since the update for Sierra, contacts do not appear in Messages - just phone numbers.

    Since the update for Sierra, Messages no longer displays Contact names - only phone numbers.  No instructions on how to remedy this.  Ideas?

    Go into the Contacts application and ensure that it uses the same account synchronization like the iPhone and other devices you may be using.

    Also check the part of the accounts of the Contacts application preferences and make sure that it's only using one account.

    Problem solved:
