Messages disappeared?

I have an iPhone 6 s, iOS 9.3.2. About a half hour ago all of a sudden my phone was strange and apps have swept, etc.. I tried to remove some photos and make the space and then my texts did not send. I restarted the phone, just like I do all the time hoping that would help. But when I turned the phone back on, ALL OF MY POSTS have disappeared. And yet in the storage of my phone it always says I have 4.3 GB of saved messages. I have seen many others with this same exact problem, but no one seems to give us an answer. Help please! How can I get my messages, they must always be there!

Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again? You won't lose data, but it can cure a few glitches.

If this is not your messages, restore from your most recent backup will be:

    Hey Nishya12,

Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

From what I read, it seems that your iPhone on iOS 9.3.3 5s is not cling your text/iMessages. I'd like to keep track of these conversations myself I'll be happy to help you.

Because you used the link at the bottom of the use of Messages with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to get more help, I'll assume you have check the Messages on your iPhone settings. If you do not, click the link and check that everything is configured correctly.

iMessages is part of the iOS on your iPhone, in order to have this behavior as you described refers to a problem with the installation.

Save your iOS device - install a new clean copy of iOS on your iPhone, is what we call here. Since this process will erase everything, I highly recommend making sure your personal data is safe to backup and first.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iOS device - to install a new copy of iOS, your iPhone will be erased completely and that cannot be done via iTunes on a computer. In the settings of the iPhone doesn't that erase your personal information.

Once your iPhone has rebooted, you will configure your phone as a new iPhone this time. If you wish, you can connect to dive into iTunes and App Store and iCloud. At this point, check iMessages and see if it keeps your messages after they are sent. If so, the next step.

Restore your iOS device from a backup - now you're ready to bring your information to your iPhone. Just follow the steps described in this article.

Take care and have a nice day!

My Inbox messages disappeared? other boxes (sent) okay, but none left in the Inbox?

Here's what our service provider (Videotron) made me do: on our system of Microsoft Outlook - under Tools/accounts/mail/Properties/Advanced - ticked the box - keep copies of messages on the server - and also on - remove the server after deleting "deleted items". He was told that the messages would remain on their server to 365 days. If we want to keep moving some emails to a folder on our computer. As we did we have any problems with our e-mail systems... I hope this helps. Thank you.

  • Messages disappear or hidden.

I have messages disappear, even though I'm interested in them.  They do not appear in the list of messages.  Sometimes I can hit 'Search' to find the message if it was not in the list of messages & pass, but then it disappears.

While in the Inbox: view | Current view. Make that sure show all Messages is checked and not Hide the Read Messages.

This just started two days ago. I must have something clicked by accident.

I have Windows 7, Windows Live Mail 2011

You need to check: include the original message in its response.

WLMail 2009, which was found in tools | Options | Send. It should be similar to WLMail 2011, but if you can't find it, ask the experts here.

  • messages disappeared from Outlook Express (Inbox) e-mail account

Most of my messages "Inbox floder" has simply disappeared from my Outlook Express email.  There were some files with images on them that I really want to come back. I want to know if I can get back them on my PC and if so, how could I do.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :

    About file Corruption:

    Recovery tools:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • messages disappeared from Outlook Express 6 (Inbox) e-mail account

I was using OE6 and when an Email has been recd in the Inbox without attachment, but with a picture of my Club, I tried to remove it, but IE6 has been suspended. I then tried to close IE6, and it showed that the Inbox did NOT. There was also a pop up screen with a msg at the end of the program. As this screen kept popping up, I continued to press END. Then all emails in the Inbox after the 21/12/2008 simply disappeared. I have no older messages from 2005 until 2008-12-20, but all messages of the 20/12/2008 until 11/09/2011 disappeared. When I open Windows Explorer and checked the storage folder

C:\Documents and Settings Application Data Data\Identities\ {87D00F43-308F-4F5C-B61A-E86A09D4A4A2} \Microsoft\Outlook Express, local owner

I think Inbox.dbx watch 1.52 GB and DeletedItems.dbx but the OE6 102DB shows NONE of these msgs.

Where they could hide and how to recover the same which should appear in OE6?

Its quite likely that the files got filled with zeros where were the messages.  Often happens when users leave their files get above a few hundred megabytes.  Your 1.52 gigabyte file was a disaster time.

You can check that recycle it the locker and the message store bak files that are backups of dbx files you want to restore, as appropriate.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 and www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1 .  If there is no bak file then your only option is to try to extract the messages from files (which may not contain anything except zeroes--you can try zipping them and if they zip down to nothing, it's what is in the file), or if they are no longer in the files then DBXpress has an exclusive excerpt from disc feature that could get back them (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/) hard disk directly.

In the future, it makes sense to keep the size of dbx files below a few hundred megabytes and backup frequently as this happens to OE users on a daily basis.

  • All of my messages disappeared after 5 emails deleted on my Document__How of restoring/recovering lost emails?

    Hello:
    Outlook Express 6 with XP

I deleted some emails accumulated in My paper this morning. When I went to O.E.6 to read some old emails, there are NOT, well there are 40 different types of emails were sitting in front of access to my documents.

Apparently, all emails, both current and past the Outlook Express 6 have been removed. The e-mail address I see is now a single when open O.E.6.
    My questions are;
    (1) how it happened? .... I never deleted the boxes O.E.6, i.e. "deleted items", "Outbox" including "in-field".

    (2) how to recover/restore all e-mails lost after removing some of the e-mails to my Document?  "Trash," I restored actually one or two files by right click,... but where are they now?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Please explain how the email arrived first in My Documents? Only, I can help with messages that have been lost since the Outlook Express folders.
