  • Question of ink Officejet 7612 picture

I recently bought an Officejet 7612 to replace a 7310 who died.  I was very impressed by the ability of the 7310 to print photos, however, he used a special photo cartridge to replace the black ink cartridge to get the best quality photos of this printer (even if it is true, he did do a decent job with just black and tricolor cartridges normal installed).  I don't see a photo cartridge similar to printing of photos available for the 7612.  The two test photos of the 7612 I printed came out rather well, unfortunately, I can not print them off the 7310 for comparing the quality of the photos.

My question is, is there an ink cartridge for the 7612?  HP finished far who with their printers today because they can print photos without the special photo cartridge?

    Hello

    Not in the following list.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/au/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?OID=6877295#! tab = OAS

If you want to print pictures, there are a lot of printers to do this job such as Photosmart class printers.

    Kind regards.

  • How to disable ink level notifications

Product information: HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-One OS: Windows 7

I've had the printer for a while, but recently received a new computer and downloaded current drivers and software.  Now, I often (at least twice an hour) get a pop-up of my ink level notification.  I tried everything to turn it off.  If I want to know my ink level, I can check it out on my printer.  Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

Highlight your printer, click the printer server properties, and then click on Advanced tab and uncheck the two boxes "Show of information any notification...". ».  Apply, and then click OK.

Check also that you do not have a program called Growl installed or running.

  • HP6700Premium: use of ink in mode STANDBY

    (1) it's better for using ink pass my printer HP6700P totally OFF, is to instead let the SLEEP mode?

So: is it an ink spill when it is in STANDBY mode (e.g. maintenance printhead)? Since it certainly uses ink at the start of the fully OFF mode to clean the print head.

    (2) and for the print head itself is EVE better than OFF?

    (3) what is the powerusage in SLEEP mode?

    Hello @M2HP,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you have a few questions using ink and use issues of power on the award-winning Officejet 6700. I would like to help.

To answer your questions in order:

    (1) Yes, the printer will be "spill" some ink in the standby mode. It is for the maintenance of the print head. This would happen only when the printer has not been used in a while. Because the printer is the print head cleaning whenever you turn it on, you will undoubtedly leave the printer in sleep mode.

    (2) standby is better for the print head. If the printer is used every day or the other is fine. If the printer is not used for long periods of time, the unit will wake up once in awhile to perform some minor maintenance work on the print head. This is mainly to prevent the print head don't dry out in an attempt to extend the life of the printers.

    (3) the energy consumption in standby mode is 3.3 watts. Here is a link to the Specifications of the printer. That's where I got the information about the use of power. He can answer any additional questions.

Also, here is a link to the User Guide.

I hope this helps. If you have additional questions, feel free to ask.

The display shows "damaged cartridge" I use only nine carthidges of HP ink, so it's not a problem. He rejected 3 out of 4 cartridges that I tried to install. This happens only on black print cartridge (NO photo-noir).  Can anyone help?

  • Blocked C310a photsmart Black Printhead

All recommendations how to clean / unlock (forget the printer cleaning cycle!). Seems the printer is sensitive to blocking if we don't print for awhile - getting fed up with it!

    Hello sandrine,.

Made by printer cleaning is the only way recommended by HP to clean the print head. However, there is a method described in this post that might help:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-printing-questions/black-ink-not-working/m-p/446483/highlight/true#M28591

If it is a persistent problem, you use the power button on the printer to turn it off? It may be a problem with most printers (not only those of HP) if the printer is turned off using a power strip or UPS. The printer has a routine he goes through to cap the cartridges when it is turned off with the power button. If the cartridges are left clipped to any period of time, the ink can dry throughout the complete system delivery of printer ink and cause blocking.

  • Designjet Z2600: Questions about head of ink and printer maintenance

We have recently acquired a printer, Designjet Z2600 24 "large format.  A few questions so we can know what to expect:

    • Dry ink: A colleague suggested that dried ink can be a problem if the printer is not used frequently.  We plan on it using every two weeks, but there may be times when a month or two will pass between uses.  Is this a problem?
    • Print heads: will be the printer alert us when they need to be replaced or should we look for quality defects?
    • Management of ink: before printing, the printer will be well estimate ink necessary for work and alert us if we need to insert the new cartridges before employment passes by?

    Thank you!

    Hello

The recommendation is to keep it at any time.

If you use the printer turns off completely the power button.

When not in use, it will go in standby mode, wake up maintenance and sleep.

  • Pre sale question: Officejet Pro X476dw - ink cartridges

    Hello

I have a couple of pre sale question on the Officejet Pro X476dw - I hope you can help me with.

I live in Denmark (EU) and in the book loads, it says that it comes with startup ink cartridges (translated from Danish). What these specifications of starter ink contains less ink than normal cartridges don't - if so - no idea how many pages they can produce before they empty?

As to the number of products: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80 - is this the same printer? And what does the #A80?

The ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything if it can damage the printer to use ink after the expiry date - or what the print quality is affected?

Q: it comes with startup ink (translated from Danish). These start ink specifications contains less ink than normal cartridges only

A: Yes.  It's half in full by a quarter from a new normal cartridge.  Pagecounts are all depends on a lot and what you print.

Q: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80

A: the extra #A80 is probably a regional identifier.  Its basically the same printer but built with some regulation is necessary for your region as energy consumption.

Q: the ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date

A: the ink are deteriorating and are more likely to plug in your print heads and contacts.

Q: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything

A: not necessarily, but it is advisable to listen to your printers of warning messages

Q: can the printer to be used after the expiry date of the ink

R: damage, maybe not the best term.  It would cause clogs in the ink system that will require additional support.  When the hooves can not be erased then the printer may need to be replaced.

Q: or what the quality of the print is affected?

R: technically Yes, but the quality will be not noticeable in most cases with an outdated cartridge.  The ink won't be able to apply paper and take a nice full round, resulting in a glance more stained on a microsopic level.  Your concern should be on the maintenance of the equipment.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Question about drying of ink on Officejet Pro 6830

    Hello

I have to buy a new HP printer for my parents.

In fact, they use a hp photosmart 3300 and it will print no more.

I have met a few cleanup step, but now nothing.

So decided to buy a new one and I'm interesting by a Pro Officejet 6830.

Why, because they can change an ink cartridge separately rather standard officejet.

I also look for laser printer, but HP are not my preferred choice...

My question is if my parents don't use it by usage recommended by mounth, the printer get dirty as the precedent?

A student told me that he has a new feature to protect the heads and ink printers.

May they have remove all the cartridges when they leave home for more than a month...

    Thanks for your recommendation.
