Blocked C310a photsmart Black Printhead

All recommendations how to clean / unlock (forget the printer cleaning cycle!). Seems the printer is sensitive to blocking if we don't print for awhile - getting fed up with it!

Hello sandrine,.

Made by printer cleaning is the only way recommended by HP to clean the print head. However, there is a method described in this post that might help:

http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-printing-questions/black-ink-not-working/m-p/446483/highlight/true#M28591

If it is a persistent problem, you use the power button on the printer to turn it off? It may be a problem with most printers (not only those of HP) if the printer is turned off using a power strip or UPS. The printer has a routine he goes through to cap the cartridges when it is turned off with the power button. If the cartridges are left clipped to any period of time, the ink can dry throughout the complete system delivery of printer ink and cause blocking.

  • Black Printhead clogged, not printing.

    I have a HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m.

The black print head does not print.

I have not used the printer for printing, for about a year. I just got a new black ink cartridge and put it in, and it would not print.

I did a printhead cleaning, I put the print cartridge to another printer, to see if it worked, and he did.

The printer recognizes that the black cartridge is full and that it is, and the other color cartridges work, even if they are nearly empty.

If the printhead is too dry, it cannot be deleted, what I have to do.

The next problem is on my brother in laws machine, Vista running. Hi, Bach3g,

    Computer brand and model?

    Start the computer

    Open Device Manager

Check the graphics card driver and the mouse driver that should perhaps be updated

Right click on the driver, and then select properties - you see codes listed on the general tab

You see exclamation yellow exclamation or question marks?

If so, right click on drivers and select update

If the system continues to freeze, go back and uninstall the drivers in question.

Reboot and Windows will reload drivers.

Go to the site of the manufacturer of the computer and look for the driver updates.

    Try the solution listed here:

Since you have owned less than a week, can you not take her back to the store and exchange it?  If you bought it online, then a return period as well.  Or you can directly call HP and tell them you want to return if you have no way to take it back to the place of purchase.

Unfortunately, sometimes things just happen, and products are shipped with defects.  This happens to every manufacturer at one point.  Take the printer back and exchange it.

  • Photosmart 6520e: 6520e not printing black

Suddenly, printer will not print black.

Replaced the black cartridge twice and all the cartridges with genuine HP cartridges color.

Power levels are reported as good. The shows blocks of good CMY color print quality Diagnostics page. but just a white block (empty) for blacks. Printer snap lines are extremely low.

    Have cleaned the printheads twice.

A printing system rest in Printers & Scanners preferences.

    Thanks for any advice.

You will need to use rubber gloves if you try the following.
Turn off the power to the printer.
There is a small filter to sieve under the black cartridge.

DAB gently with a q-tip soaked in hot water.
It may take a few tries to get unplugged sieve filter.
    Do a 'clean' between attempts.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a: align the printheads

There is no black printing when printing a document.  I changed all 4 cartirdges, cleaned the heads but always without success.  When I go to SNAP PRINTHED I get an ALIGNMENT FAILURE error message.  REFER TO THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE DEVICE FOR MORE DETAILS.

    Hello @rbletsch,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that your HP Officejet 6500 a e-all-in-one printer does not print in black. In addition, after having replaced all 4 cartridges, the alignment is a failure on your Officejet. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Misalignment normally associated with print head. The print head of your machine is which "reads" your cartridges and ink to go on the control document. If the print head is defective in your HP Officejet printing system is corrupt and you need a replacement of the printhead to fix this. A defective print head would cause also no black print. That being said, I'm going to run through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem of ink black and alignment.

To begin troubleshooting, please click here. When opens the document of support please do run Solution three, four, solution and five Solution. This includes all sub-steps under three listed Solutions. If the problem persists, replace the print head would be the next step.

If your HP Officejet is out of warranty, I recommend checking out the @Bob_Headrickpost: black ink does not because there are useful measures to soak the printhead to remove the excess ink that could block the ink black and causing finally alignment to fail.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

  • Windows 10 boots and stuck on the black screen with high CPU

    Hello

    I have a MBP 15 "mid 2015 16G with AMD R9 M370X i7.

I've been running bootcamp with Windows 10 installation for about a month now without any problems.  However, yesterday 10 Windows started and has been blocked in a black screen (before any screen logo or connection win) with the CPU works hard and hot.

    1. I tried to restart some time hold button / stop and start with the option key, key and then selecting the windows bootcamp partition but it drove the same black screen with CPU hot work in the background.

    2. I can always start OSX fine during this period.

    3. I tried to leave in the black screen for a good 10 minutes, but it does not change and the MBP gets really hot.

    4. I tried clearing NVRAM with Boot option + command + P + R

5 I can't in Windows 10 safe mode using F8 or FN + F8 after you select windows to boot manager (starting with the down option).  Am I missing something here?

I don't have a copy of Installer windows 10 with me right now unless someone can tell me how to create one under OSX.

I searched on the internet forum and apple, but have not found a solution that works for me.  Many speak of win10 black screen with cursor showing, but my question is just a black screen with no cursor.

Someone at - it other ideas besides reinstall Windows 10?

You have a black screen with or without power adapter, both? If 10 Windows does not start correctly three times, it should bring up the recovery console. Windows automatic updates are enabled? You have created/activated Windows system restore points?

    You visit the ESPN site?

crossdomain files. XML are usually required by the Flash plugin, and in this case, it is located on a CA server that distributes content to the ESPN site.

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>

So there's probably no need to block this file, otherwise content Flash probably will not work correctly.

  • Outline of the block diagram flashing red

Hello. I don't have access to the Vi in question at the moment so I'll make it as General as possible. My Vi worked properly for a week or two, but today it started to flash red around the edge of the block diagram. Once the Vi makes the block diagram whole black for a while, followed by the red square around him. What is this red box? They are still able to run the Vi, it's why I can't stop their however, it is not a display of alarm or anything like that. I tried to watch as they run, but am getting no where fast. I just want to know what means the flashing red box does not pinpoint the problem. Thank you

This means that your chart has been set to a big "breakpoint." Go to View > breakpoint Manager and delete the offending breakpoint.

If you hold down the CTRL key while running a VI, LabVIEW adds a breakpoint at what you click on, so just be careful with that. I accidentally added breakpoints to my code more than once.

  • Corrupt BIOS V5 531 Acer black screen after startup, f2 and f12 also. Repairable?

    Hello

Yesterday I tried to install Win 7 if I could play D & D Neverwinter on Arc after using * nix systems study (looking to start a career as an administrator). I had plugged into a power strip that was, unbeknownst to me, turned off and I went to make coffee and watch some news. When I came back to check the progress of my laptop was powered off and since then I havn't been avle start without being blocked at a black screen after the start page of the bios. The f2 and f12 also leads to a black screen, I can not change the boot device or enter the bios Setup.

Is - fixable at all? For example, is the a key-combo, I can use it to restore from a backup bios? Or, do I have to bring in a technician who can install a new chip bios or flash this old some how? Or did I brick pemanently my device?

V1.22 is what you want to be part of a unit of Windows 7.

The problem is if it crashed during the upgrade process, it will take some special tools clearly on the chip on the MB and recharge it with a new BIOS. I would contact your local support team to see what options are available.

  • HP 6500 709n printer will not print in black.

Cartridges have been replaced and cleaned twice printer heads.  still will not print in black.

Had the same problem with the same printer. I had to get out of ink cartridges and cleaning the printhead tray manually. If you search online you will find the instructions step by step on how to remove the print head Assembly. First, I tried to clean by soaking in hot water for several minutes. It has not helped, although others said it worked for them. Then I used alcohol to friction on the screen black printhead. Also, I soaked a mixture diluted CLR (calcium, lime, rust) the whole print head and used a swap of cue tip to gently clean the print heads... I rinsed off the coast of all very well in water and carefully dried. I used compressed air to a box to blow the print heads and help in the dry. I reinstalled the Assembly and the ink cartridges and the black ink was working. I was disappointed that none of this information is actually detailed by HP for this printer troubleshooting. Good luck. You will need to repeat the process several times, as I did.

  • Colorization of black and white comics

I have scans of pages of comics in black and white

    that I'd like to colorize.

How can I do this with Photoshop Elements?

(I, colleagues, I must first make transparent white parts)

then add a layer for coloring behind the

black and white layer. "But how?)

(At the moment I use version 6.0 for Mac).

    Thank you.

I'm a big fan of blending modes to do this. All you really need to know is that Multiply blending mode makes drop white.

    1. click on background comic lock and drag it to the trash CAN... simply release the mouse button when you reach the trash. I like to do it this way because there is no dialogue for good.

    2. create a fill layer with the background color solid color desired and slide it under your cartoon illustration. (I like to use for the solid color fill adjustment layers because they are flexible and I quickly change my color if I change my mind something.) This does mean that you can't just create an empty layer and fill it with the color... or works the other way. Let this layer in Normal blending mode; 100% opacity.

    3. change the blending mode of the layer of your illustration comic to multiply; 100% opacity.

    4. under your illustration add an adjustment layer of filling of solid color for each item that you want to paint. Let in Normal blending mode adjustment layers; Opacity 100%. Fill your black mask to hide the effect of solid color fill. Take the Brush tool and use white paint into the mask to colorize point.  Each of them that are under your comic strip illustration will be blocked by your black lines. Each layer will block the layer below, because they are each in Normal blending mode. (The exception is the black outline that is placed in blending mode multiply.)

Note: Alternatively, you can create an empty layer and paint in your color. As with the solid color fill layers, leave it in Normal blending mode; 100% opacity.

    5. If you want something to paint on the black lines... like fixing the gaps or adding things... place these layers above your line art, which is in merger mode multiply. Let these layers in a mixture Normal mode 100% opacity.

Note: in my example I lowered my opacity less than 100% for the single point... the lip lines. This layer, I had to taste that I tried to get my lines to match the lines of the demarcation line in the face.

Below shows background color will not affect the result that you use the normal blending mode for each layer coloring and multiply blending mode for drawing to the line itself. If you had painted them in a different blending mode then the base color (background) would have been a factor.

I used a piece of an image of the Big Box of Art 350 000 Hemera Images... now owned by Jupiter Media... for example. I thought I'd better add that since Jupiter Media owns the copyright of this illustration.

    Above shows my layers palette.

All the layers except the linework are Normal blending mode. Line drawing is in merger mode multiply. All the layers except the outline of the lips (black) are set to 100% opacity. Are items I want to address the line drawing above the dividing line. I want to show under the line items are found under the line drawing. A good example is the layer of teeth Add. The teeth are not in the original comics. To get your teeth white to appear, they should be located on the line original line drawing. The layer that contains the fill color is one that I forgot to change. As he is black, it is a sort of correction of the line I've done freehand.

I have not used any fill color for the necklace and the dress in my example to show how the white falls when you place a black and white linework in blending mode multiply.

  • B9180: B9180 printing problems

Hello... I have a HP Photosmart Pro B9180, I use with Mac OS 10.9.5

Everything was fine until recently printing.  I had not printed anything for a week or two. The printer was left, performing his daily, cleaning cycle.

Then, when I was printing some photos from Lightroom, I noticed the upper left corner of each photo (with multiple photos on a page, each chaque photo photo exposed this) began with a small white block, which has transformed little by little solid. A bit like a gradient.

When I ran the nozzle check, there were a few problems print quality in black text, and several blocks of color had the same white-> gradient of solid in them, only in the first "band".  The blocks of color affected were the first block (cyan), third (red/magenta) block, seventh block (cyan), ninth (magenta) block and 11 (black) block.  On the second row of blocks, the first three blocks all had the gradient in the upper band.

After the execution of the printhead, routine cleaning the number maximum (seven) sometimes, things were worse. Black text was unreadable, gray and light gray (first two) tranches on the second line were practically invisible.

The print heads are reported in "good" condition. No indication of low-ink will appear.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you!

    -Eric

    Thanks for your reply...

I don't know if that would work, since I tried an old watch that did the trick:

    (1) turn off the printer

    (2) unplug the printer for about a minute

    (3) plug the printer back to the

    (4) re - turn on printer

After that, everything was fine. Not sure why the printer itself would enter into this State, but a complete reset seems to have done the trick. Your suggestions can be simply part of the restart process that could do the same thing. I will remember that if this happens again.

    Thanks again!

  • My Officejet Pro 8500 wireless won't all print cyan?

I have been using this printer for about 4 years. A few months ago, he stopped printing cyan and I'm now talking to her. I ran the clean print heads, etc. and cyan has not come at all. This is after trying a former and new officer, print cartridge Cyan HP. Help, please.

I have the 8500 institutions and experienced a similar problem. I managed to sucessfully troubleshoot. I replaced all ink cartridges that did not help. I replaced the two print heads and now it will be printed as the day, it was new. Be sure to shake each printhead for at least 10 seconds prior to installation.

Printhead part numbers are listed below.

Yellow and HP 940 Black Printhead

Cyan and HP 940 Magenta print head

I won't you be kidding the print heads are expensive. ($62.00 each), but they should solve your problems.

Try them, replacement print heads are under warranty if you really have nothing to lose.
