Mgr on windows

Hello

Must configure oracle tp sql server database replication with goldengate, we did the side source, target side it is a windows machine with sql server database, can you suggest what method is recommended to create a process mgr,.

If the installation Manager as a Windows Service is good or recommended in environments with windows service or production is sufficient? Please suggest us to set up gg on the windows machine. Thank you.

With the help of Manager as that service is the best practice and recommended approach. Otherwise, you would have a window in the foreground for each process of ogg that you start.

Thank you

  • Boot MGR missing, Windows Vista,

Hey! so I have a Lenovo that runs on windows vista, and it had this nasty virus that I could only remove by resetting my computer back to factory settings (I saved most of my personal files) and if that wasn't bad enough, when I tried to restart my computer it says "Boot MGR is missing, press Ctrl alt delete to restart ' does NOT incidentally , so long story short, to fix it, I need to use the windows vista disc to repair the file, but I don't have the disc, but I have the key phrase that sits on the bottom of my computer when I bought it, so any suggestions regarding How can I come on a windows vista disc or download windows vista so I can burn it to a disc? preference for free because I already OWN Windows Vista?

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer/laptop there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • PSC2355 All in One on Windows 7

When I try to install the latest drivers for this printer under Windows 7 32 bit, I get an error message as below.

I bet that there is nothing wrong with the driver itself, just that Win7 does not like the installation routine.

(Needless to say that my normal user account IS an administrator, and I also tried the regular administrator account.

How to work around this problem?

Is there anyway that I can manually copy the right files in the right directory?

I am desperate to use this printer and I do not know is not going to replace a job entirely and a very reliable printer in this...

    Thanks for the reply.

In fact, I found a way around it, based on the mixture of some other answers on this forum.

    Here's what to do:

    (1) after the first attempt failed to install, go to the Temp directory (open start > run > %temp%)

    (2) find the directory named 7zS (something).  Copy this directory to your desktop or other convenient location.

    (3) open the copied directory and locate the Setup.exe file.

    (4) make a right click on the file Setup.exe and select Properties

    (5) in the Properties dialog, select the Compatibility tab.

(6).. .and then check run as administrator, and run in [all] Windows XP mode.

    (7) press on apply to save and close the properties box. You may NOT always use this setup.exe file, but don't be afraid... instead:

    (8) open the Device Manager and plug the connector of your printer, while carefully watching the Mgr system window.

    (9) Windows 7 should be able to recognize the 'new device' as a printer. Right-click on the new device and select "Update Driver".

    (10) Windows will then ask you where to find the drivers. At this point, select the folder with the setup.exe file that you modified earlier.

And voila, the driver install now!

I was able to print fine, but I haven't checked if the scanner works.

Windows 7 displays an image very fancy of a scanner with a little green box checked next to him, so I think it works.

Message to HP: inside, I have worked for many years, so of course I don't mind improvise terribly this way (with the exception of two hours lost on messing around with it.) But really, there should be a compatible Win 7 Installer for this popular printer available for download.

I just reinstalled all my software on Win7 and it's actually the first problem I encountered.

  • Clip + - Win XP - has worked at first, but now only shows connected, but no drive letter

Yesterday I installed Sansa + 8 GB with success as well as Rhapsody and I could see the two drive letters for the Sansa. I loaded songs and played them.

Today I can't see drive letters. Sansa appears as an icon on the desktop. As suggested, I tried uninstalling the driver under "Device Mgr" and windows reinstalled correctly.

The Sansa itself device shows connected and I can browse the Sansa icon but my songs do not appear! On the Sansa itself, I can see my songs and that they play, but I can't load any more songs. Rhapsody does not see the device is of course.

The suggestion of "drive letter conflict" will not work because I don't see ANY of the DRIVE LETTERS.

Before I send it back, what else can I try?   Win XP SP3 update.

    Thank you

    jspence

DrLucky - right on!  I just find this MSC/MTP switch to another solution.  Now I can copy in the Sansa as any other player, so I'll pass on Rhapsody.

Thanks for the QUICK POST. I'll mark this corrected.

The image (it back up to an external drive as full image) and reinstall Windows XP, update, drivers and everything.  Install any plugins that you NEED to do all that you see here that the bat hurt.  If the problem no longer exists, something has gone wrong with your system from before (corrupt files or your cleaning is not as complete as you think) and if the problem persists - probably something to do with the material. In all cases, you can return to the image if you wish.

To the extent wherever it is the registry, I must ask, * how * you have come to this conclusion?  Not that I'm defending something - I was wondering what you did to decide who is not your registry database?  (Side: I agree with you.)

That's what * I * would call cleaning and optimization of a Windows XP machine:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end. This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.

    Hi Radlfly,

I see that you have some problems with the burner blu - ray on Windows 7. I'll help you with this problem.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. What is the brand and model of the blu - ray player?

    3. have you made changes on the computer recently?

4 is the issue confined to this hard drive?

I want you to know that Blu - Ray is a patented technology, so need the codec appropriate to buy and this is why we cannot include it in our operating system.

To play a Blu - ray disc, you must use a non-Microsoft program that supports Blu - ray playback and a device that can play Blu - ray discs.

  • No sound in Windows 10

I have a new iMac El Cap, fully implemented in day running.  I created a partition of 10 Windows using Bootcamp.  Sound does not. Win Device Mgr shows no sound information. Direct X DXDiag says there is no sound h/w and advises to load a driver if it is planned.  Apple support (chat) told me (a) on Mac OS use Bootcamp Assistant > Action > download the Windows Support software to download on a USB stick, then (b) under Windows, run USBDrive > Bootcamp > setup.exe.  But the Bootcamp directory on the USB key does not contain a setup.exe file: only two subdirectories and an AutoUnattend.xml file.  Any ideas?

It is an older BC driver package, but the structure of the file should look like.

  • 700 - 230qe Windows 10 of envy. No speakers or headphones are connected.

Wind 10 was already running through upgrade. Computer got slow slow opening files. Reinstalled windows and all that was giving problems very well works. Except that he said no speakers.  There is no indicator in the device mgr.  Driver is installed.

If you look at IDt high defintion codecs it is said that there is no driver installed. Not sure if it's supposed to be. He went into the bios and ran the audio test and it works fine. Need help.

    Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the audio driver IDT W10, restart the PC and see if it solves the problem.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

    File name: sp71717.exe
