Microsoft CALLED my phone at home today.
Microsoft calls the people?
Stranger claimed my computer flickered a message on Windows and that he would help me to fix it by phone - BUT he had need of my ID #. I told her that I does not my ID number to someone on the phone. I called the number back a few minutes later and someone answered with just "Hello"? Then after a second or 2, she has identified herself as a person of Microsoft and even once asked me for my ID #. I hung up.
The phone number that came on my phone is: (914-465-0874. I guess it's a scam of phone and won't deal with them. Microsoft should make this more public type of scam, so people will not give ANY information to scammers. They were quite insistent and aggravated that I would not give them my computer/Microsoft identification number.
Microsoft never cold call people. It's a scam

I got a very strange call they stated they were by Microsoft of Florida? They are in Seattle Washington aren't? in any case they said that I was hacked and was marked with red? and it was scary that Microsoft calls me on a phone? Well they tried to get into my computer, and then I told them Microsoft dose do not call someone? then, as he did with a focus to talk to me and I decided to go to Microsoft and check my account and found I had to go through security special and changed my password got a new special code to access my account, so that phone call I believe in my gut was a pirate himself cause I was at Microsoft and said I'm at Microsoft now what happened to my account? They never hung up I called back, they said that they tried to send me an email? not never received any email from Microsoft at all. What is a hacker pretending they were Microsoft? What would you think? Things are weird since I bought my new laptop. Why the laptop and not my office. Then I never received a call from type y Microsoft. I have this name and phone number on my caller ID. A Microsoft person really call me to help me? I need help here thanks

Phone calls to the Microsoft call centre.
Hello
I'm sick to death of receiving your call center phone calls telling me there is a problem with my computer, when this 'thing' has yet been turned on and still less currently in use .
Also sick of these people not understand English and even less be able to speak. If this problem is not resolved I 'LL go further.
They are criminal con-men who are nothing to do with Microsoft.

This is a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. Microsoft never does such calls. Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.

Microsoft scam. I just had a person claiming to be from Microsoft on the phone
I just had a person claiming to be from Microsoft on the phone. It asked me to enter a code and run it on my computer. I refused and hung up as I suppose it's a scam! Has anyone else had such a call?
It seems that there was a rash of these types of calls that flow. DON'T spend any time on the phone with them. It's a big scam and they are phishing for your personal information. DO NOT do anything they say, or give them all vital data.
Hope this helps,

Microsoft called my house to tell me someone was trying to hack into my computer. I hung up on top of the man after him asking a variety of questions would be that he could not answer being:
A computer trying to be hacked? (His response was that he could tell me after that I followed the instructions)
How he came to find is that certain telephone number? (He told me that was confidential)
Where he was calling from. (He studdered and stammered a few places, but never completely answered.)
What the computer a. Windows program (it was where it even once told me that it did not matter.)After that, I hung up on him, and he won't stop bothering me. Now, in all my years of having a computer and my computer spoil on me not a widows nobody called me to inform me what it is. I always had to call them, which is reasonable. I want to know if it is legitimate, which I doubt, and if I can understand how he got my phone number if I can keep someone else to do.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Can I still call the phone numbers?
I kept only Skype because I can dial international telephone numbers and save them - to the client sessions, etc. I just got a new computer with Windows 10 and Skype version 2.15 and I don't see a place where I get a touchpad and dial a number. It seems that I have to sign in to my account and add a number from my contacts, then return to my contacts in Skype and call from there.
Hello
