Microsoft DreamSpark for Academic Institutions Windows activation key question
Around a year ago, I ordered a free copy of W7 Professional N (64-bit). The key worked well for activation.
Have you tried to restart by phone?
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

We bought a desktop dell computer about 1 1/2 to 2 years with pre-installed windows 7 Home premium. He broke, but some parts were always good. We bought a new Acer with preinstalled Windows 8 office which I didn't like. Also, the hard drive of the Dell printer was bigger. The intention was to simply pass on the disks, so Acer would have a bigger disk and Windows 7. It wouldn't boot correctly, so we reinstalled Windows 7 by using a disk image, downloaded from Microsoft and product key that was stuck on the Dell. Finally, we sold the Dell a guy on Craigslist. We had signed up everything except the motherboard, processor and power supply. As we took off the Windows 7 product key sticker. Acer has worked well and never mentioned anything on Windows is not genuine not. He remained off the coast for a few weeks. I turned today and it installs the updates on start up. The login screen normally shows and I connect. The desktop appears in black with 3 lines of text in the corner:

There is a window in the middle of the screen that says
Activate Windows now
The activation period has expired
It gives two options:
Activate now
Ask me later
At this stage there is no start bar or the desktop icons as if windows Explorer has not yet begun.
About 2 to 3 minutes later the paper in his arrives and the start bar and the desktop icons appear. The window "Activate Windows now" disappears also.
Another window appears which says:
Update optional delivery does not work
You may be victim of software counterfeiting.
I tried not to get my key or whatever it is in fear that it could be a virus.
What is going on? There may be remnants of the key somewhere on the case of dell outside the sticker? What should I do?
Reason for the notification: 0xC004F009 (grace period expired).

I installed Windows 8 Pro on my iMac year last through Parallels Desktop and I put the key here... And a few months, I just want to use Windows 7 because it is easier for my programming software. So, I remove the Windows 8 Pro, I planned to use Bootcamp (found it faster), and start a clean installation of Windows 7.
And suddenly, yesterday I think using Windows 8 Pro for a reason any on my MacBook Air. After installing it, I try to put the key, but it says that it has been used. So I think:
1. I thought that I already remove my Windows 8 Pro on iMac (I remove it without clean uninstall, I restored my iMac; which means that it is just a blink of an eye-gone).
2. How can I use my key again once rather than buy a new one? Is it still possible?
So my question is: do I need to uninstall the activation key for the iMac? As I don't even know if the key is installed in the equipment of the iMac.
I would really appreciate if someone will help me :)

If you are connected to the Internet during installation, disconnect then you can enter the product without verification key.
You should be able to reactivate the Windows 8 Pro license:

Since I want not to clone my real SSD hdd but, instead, do a new window 7 Professional 64-bit installed, how can I achieve this without any DVD (my previous Toshibas...
. I had 2 front, first one dating back to 1997 had CD/DVD with the OS!).So, I have the activation key in the label on the back of my Tecra but I don't have the media with OS!
Please help solve this problem :-)

PauloIf you want to install the original recovery image, you must create restore DVD first. This recovery disk, you can use for installing the OS.
In the user s manuals document clearly described how you can do so before you swap HDD create recovery disc in first.Product key to the label part of the preinstalled version.

I woke up this morning to the computer asks me a product key Windows activation code after an update of service. I entered the product key off the coast of the sticker from original manufacturers on the back of the computer, but it tells me that the code is not valid. I double checked twice the number. Can someone tell me why the key of Activation Windows message keeps popping up in my Windows 7 OS, I use on my iMAC via Parallels Desktop version 8 (I have a legal copy of MS Windows 7 Ultimate). Have had my S3 for 6 months now and have noticed lately that windows key seems to randomly turn and when entering, suddenly my taskbar will show when I type T, my gadgets will be display on RHS (G) screen, etc. as if the windows key is being depressed is not.
I suppose to clean the key as the first step but do not want to remove the key again.
Also have updated the keyboard driver for later but noted that through the Device Manager, there are 2 keyboard devices (HID Keyboard Device) showing, have two same Details of the pilot (6.2.9200.16548) show 2 pilots, 1 x kbdclass.sys and kbdhid.sys 1 x.
This problem appears randomly and seems to happen a few minutes after starting.

OK guys help me, now windows 10 if free for users of windows 7 as well, I wanted to know if my windows is original, real & updated to level? There is a key on the back of the laptop on a sticker that says "office key" is that even as Windows activation key? Or its only job? Can I use this key for windows 10 updated & later stand PC format if I want to & activate again my PC with the same key? I couldn't afford to buy new windows8 for PC... But since this 10 is free I wanted to know if I have cam upgrade with this key

Windows activation after repairs
Recently, I had to have my hard drive replaced due to overheating laptop computer. I lost everything, but the repair has reinstalled windows vista Home premium and the laptop worked ok. I noticed that I need to activate windows in 11 days or I will lose it. repairman said I just need to enter the product code on the label of the rule on the underside of the laptop, as it was the code for Vista which has been included in the Laptop.But it keeps getting rejected and it seems that I have to buy a new product code. DOE this way to buy a new pack of Vist, its very clear on the Microsoft site? Is there a way round this or I may as well buy a new laptop.
