  • Microsoft sideWinder force feedback 2 game controllers driver for Windows 8

Original title: Joystick Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2 8 victory Flight

I have recently upgraded to windows 8 and now need drivers for my MS sidewinder force joystick feedback 2 use my FSX flight sim. Anyone know where to find the drivers?

I recently bought Microsoft Flight Sim X on stream. I've performed under a victory 8.1 HP laptop. I am lucky to have a Microsoft sidewinder force joystick feedback 2 which was a purchase of second hand many years ago.

When I connect it via USB the software automatically recognized and installed the driver suitable for the start and reports in devices like a sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick.

Initially using the properties and the calibration does not register any input the joystick game, but as the result of a reboot or run the program MS Flight Sim X everything works perfectly.

Calibration running confirms all the buttons and wheel and look at a hat all them light up and work 100%!

For reference, I am on windows 8.1 and have the auto update on.

So in summary, you should find that you need not track down the drivers and plug and play works, simply because of my experience.

  • Loading of joystick Sidewinder FORCE Feedback 2 on VISTA

I have a new computer with Vista and got close to loading Microsoft Sidewinder FORCE Feedback 2 disc to use with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and have problems loading.
The run.exex crosses all the guests, is the copy program and then copy the profile.  At this point, I get a warning box "Are you sure you want to exit the installation of Sidewinder Forcefeedback 2" with the Yes or no boxes.  If I click No this just SID and does nothing.  Click Yes, and naturally it closes.
I expect to see a message from LOADING software will then ask to connect the gamepad and proceed to step 2, which is testing.

  • Is it possible to convert Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel USB device?

Original title: sidewinder force steering wheel feedback

I have a fairly old sidewinder force wheel sterring feedback, which is a plug connection, not usb.  Is it possible to convert / and if you also think that it will work?

    Hello

I doubt if this would be converted to USB connection since it's an old device that is compatible with XP only. For the best experience in games, I personally suggest you to upgrade the perimeter game, for example, Microsoft SideWinder Mouse.

  • MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 when microsoft will provide a driver 64-bit windows 7 for this big joystick.

    I can't believe!

I paid a lot of money to change from windows xp to the so-called wonderful windows 7 64 bit.

and I can't even use my joystick microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback 2 more that microsoft can't be arsed to write a pilot for their own hardware update!

Kudos to microsoft for stick two fingers up to your customers once more.

I already had to give up a good number of programs and pieces of hardware for win 7 but my forcefeedback 2 is a sacrifice too far!

I can see on this site, I am far from the only frustrated playing flight sim card client Microsoft windows 7 (ie: poor sap) requesting:

When will get an updated driver for the sidewinder forcefeedback joystick 2?

    Thanks in advance,

  • Microsoft JR9-00006 2.4 GHz game controller

the lights will not stop blinking on the controller, and when I play a game my computer hangs after 5 minutes.

    Hi DaveFinnegan,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 t - it happened when playing any game on the computer?

    3. you receive an error message?

4 when was the last time it was working fine?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

You can also download and install the latest drivers for the controller device and check if it helps.

  • SideWinder force feedback wheel

A Windows 7 driver is available for the SideWinder?

Ah! Wheels... (it's in the title, but I was thinking when posting ;)) controller
It reminds me of. I had a Sidewinder Wheel no pedals that I took from the local Tip (dump)
Shop and has never been able to use/experience with it due to no Win7 drivers.
Little solid gear.  Made to last, and I have no doubt that it would have been still works well if
pilots were available.  Just glad I paid just a few dollars for it.

Depends on your needs / expectations.
You probably read some reviews for wheels in your budget.

Everything is currently on sale would be not compatible with Win7, as well as others of the
not-too-distant past, such as the Logitech MOMO.
You can find second hand flying MOMO, G25 and G27.
With other wheels of the era XP you want to do a search for drivers for this brand
and the model before you buy the property.  The link below has a review of some of the wheels currently
    available.

    http://gaming-steering-wheel-review.TopTenReviews.com/

There are other wheels enthusiast of high-end more expensive as the Thrustmaster T500 and
the Fantec.  FANTEC have a separate unit from the base and a selection of bolt on wheels.
-The prices on the website below would be higher in America Nth-
    http://www.pagnianimports.com.au/racing-wheels-accessories/PC-racing-wheels.html

I used a Logitech MOMO for a couple of years, but came across a super special, less than half
price ($150 AUD - normally $350 + here in Oz) Logitech G27 from a local retailer a year ago.
The G27 is very nice, but it has only two frames requiring no bolting through the table/desk
and need the extra support if you get excitable and pull on the wheel, as I tend to do.
My Office PC is such that I was able to drill the hole for the bolts and have the wheel
in a good position, other than to be a bit more tedious to install is not a problem.
It takes some time and can be a bit frustrating, to calibrate the wheel initially according to your
    style and games.
There are a number of fan sites dealing with changing Logetech wheels as well.

  • Is it possible to convert a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel of 15 pin to usb port connection? If so do I also need a driver update?

Now running Vista Edition family basic on a Dell computer

You should contact the Local tech guys and check with them. They might be more useful.
But if turn you it into USB somehow that seems to be a bit difficult, so you need the drivers of USB controller for it.
