MICROSOFT OFFICE HAS EXPIRED

My Microsoft office has expired and I had to pay 99.99 to get reinstalled. Is this fair?

Probably because if it is a new computer, that you had bought, it came pre-installed with a trial version of Office 365 who works only for 30 days. After that, you must purchase a license to continue using it.

The office is a product developed by Microsoft and a license is not a free product.

    Hello

You mean Microsoft Office? After the trial, you must purchase the program continues running. Do not forget to backup
your data and uninstall the trial before installing the full version.

You can purchase Office in several versions - the cheapest Home and Student is:

You can use OpenOffice which is free:

  • Windows Media Player and Microsoft Office PowerPoint has stopped working.

My laptop came with Vista installed. 2 weeks ago Windows media player has stopped playing video files that I receive by email. I tried to save the file to my desktop and play from there, but the same thing happens. He will play the first few seconds and then stops. In addition, Viewer PowerPoint from Microsoft office has stopped working. The error that says my anti-virus program may be the cause. I am currently using Norton Antivirus 2009.  I uninstalled Norton, but I still don't have the same error. All this happened after I downloaded and installed all the recommended Vista updates about 2 weeks ago.

    Hi anicho,

Welcome to Microsoft answers community forum!

I would like to ask a question to better understand:

    (a) what was the update has been installed?
check the update to install and remove the most recent and check. Here is the link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/windowsupdate/learn/windowsvista.mspx

    (b) what video format you are able to play on Media Player?

You may need to do the following if you have not created a restore point

    Clean boot:

This article describes how to start your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 . In addition, refer to the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode

Try these steps after the clean boot and see if it works:

Type command prompt in the start search box, right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator
    Type regsvr32 wmp.dll
    Press ENTER.
There are also a few Fix it automate solutions on the Microsoft Fix It site, you might want to try:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/FixIt#tab6

Alternatively, you can uninstall the Service Pack 2 (if you meant SP2 for updates) and check to see if it works
Here is the link to uninstall: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948537

To download the stand-alone version of Service Pack 2 for vista follow this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a4dd31d5-f907-4406-9012-a5c3199ea2b3&displaylang=en

  • Windows 8 r made lose Me ALL my other programs and Microsoft Office!

I downloaded Windows 8 on my Toshiba Satellite and previous iOS was Windows 7. The installation was slowing down my computer, so I made the cooling system. Bad idea! I chose to keep my settings and personal files, but it has removed ALL my programs and I can't put back them. My Microsoft Office has been removed and I can not re - install from the disc! I get an error 25033! Help! I need MS Office for my online courses! How can I put my dos programs? Removed apps are on my desk at the top of the page in a folder! I need it on my computer, where they were! HELP ME PLEASE! Things have changed around on my computer and I wish that I had NEVER installed Windows 8!

Well, if you would stop being so high and mighty - many of us were new computers with the software already installed at the factory (word, Skype, etc.).   We have not installed it records and the only reason why some of us did a REFRESH was because we were told to.   I lost my Yahoo Mail app after doing a software update.  I was told that if I did a REFRESH I get the app and not lose anything except the apps that I have installed disks, etc..   ......  NO - oh yes, the yahoo mail app is back - but everything else disappeared.   No word, no Skype...

It seems that you just did not understand what was going to happen and that things have been defined as (windows store apps, what desktop applications have been pre-installed by the OEM, etc.) but now you're more ignorant of these facts and installation of these components should be pretty mundane.

Microsoft Word came pre-installed on your system Windows 8 (not Windows RT)?

If so this simply means that OEM (manufacturer/assembler of the system) installed (on disk, etc.)-it is always ' installed anything else than the store Windows of.  Sure - * you * did not do - but neither did Microsoft - UPDATE would not understand it.  Ask the manufacturer how to get Microsoft Office back (if it was included, and was not just a test?)

Skype is also a desktop application.  Simply your preinstalled OEM because it does not make something that was not installed via something other than the Windows store.  http://www.Skype.com/en/download-Skype/Skype-for-Windows8/

  • With the help of Microsoft Office 2003 in Windows 7 that has been changed in Windows XP

The company I work for recently had to buy a new computer because our hard drive crashed.  We were accustomed to using Windows XP, so the newcomer with Windows 7, but they managed to install Windows XP on it, which is good, since that's what we are used to.  However, the new computer came with OpenOffice and not Microsoft Word or Excel.  Some of the functionality is the same, but it is quite different and slows me down because the formatting of the documents is not the same and we don't have time to reformat all of our existing documents.  We have been using Word 2003 and Excel 2003.  Can someone tell me if buy us Microsoft Office 2003, if it will work on our existing Windows 7 with Windows XP change?  If so, our existing documents created in the 2003 version will remain unchanged or anyway should I reformat them?  Any help you can provide is MUCH appreciated.  Thank you!

If your company has put Windows XP on it - which was a 100% wipe.  This computer has no idea that he had never Windows 7 top because it cannot read some sticker is on it (product key/certificate of authenticity), nor can it read the invoice which was purchased with it.

When they suffered the (formatted) system and installed Windows XP pn it cleanly and updated it - they should have installed other software you needed in the context of your work.  Which probably included Office 2003.

OpenOffice is free - anyone can get it.  If you own a license for Microsoft Office 2003, you do not - you might have installed on Windows 7, or you can install it on Windows XP now. (License and support).

  • Whenever I get close Microsoft Word, it displays a window saying that Microsoft Office Word has stopped working?

All the documents that I close (if it is registered or not, whether it is empty or not) shows an error message saying:

Window with the loading bar appears: header 1 - "ofMicrosoft Office Word has stopped working ", heading 2 - "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... " "

Changes in wording (remains of load bar): header 1 - "Microsoft Office Word to try to recover your information... ", header 2-"it can take several minutes. "

It takes then about 10 to 20 seconds until the charge bar disappears and the text becomes: header 1 - "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working ", header 2-"a problem caused the program to stop working correctly." ""  Windows will notify you if a solution is available. "

This process happens every time.  Sometimes it restarts the program, and other times it ends just (closed) it.  I don't know if this is related to this bug, but I met another problem that began at the same time as this one:

Could this error be caused by my computer or Microsoft Word?  Does anyone have any information or conclusions of how this error can be fixed?  Is there some registry tweaks which can solve this problem?
