Microsoft Outlook 2002 and Vista

New laptop with Vista and old computer Microsoft Outlook 2002.  Whenever I'm in the e-mail that I asked my password.  I went into the accounts of mail electronics/tools /.
MOST of the time and change my password is there and checked.  I don't know why it disappears at random.  As soon as I go in the mail, I need to type
password, window disappears and new window opens with the error 0X800ccc92 - server has rejected, connect.  X-out and request for password comes once more to the top so that I can send/receive.  My server says it's not their problem, it is a problem in microsoft.  Had NO problems with Windows XP.  Any help would be
appreciated for this very aggravating problem.

Hi cfouch,

Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

Just to clarify, you connect a network?  You connect to a domain?

You could try this process if you are not connected to a domain.  (This was taken in the following knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/218315.)  You can view the article if these steps don't help you to a determination.

These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Internet mail option only. To determine your installation type, click About Microsoft Outlook in the menu help . If you have the Internet mail option only is installed, you see "Internet only mail".

For more information about the differences between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express e-mail clients, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click accounts.
  3. In the Internet accounts dialog box, click the mail tab, and then click your e-mail account.
  4. Click the servers tab, and then click connect with password authentication secure under incoming mail server.

  • Inability to photos of messaging for microsoft outlook through the vista Photo Gallery

When I click on the start menu and open 'images' through Vista, my photo gallery appears.  I then select a picture to the email and click the "e-mail".  It asks me to choose the size of my picture, but after that, nothing happens.  Basically, it crashes my computer.  No e-mail window and if I try to open any other program, nothing will work.  I have to restart my computer.  I entered in the start menu and set my program default for Outlook (our service provider) and restarted the computer, but again, it will not work.  Without having to upgrade, what can I do to get my pictures to go to my Microsoft Outlook program, so that I can send them by e-mail?

Outlook is not a part of service.

  • Conversion of 10 GB MS Outlook 2003 pst PST MS Outlook 97-2002 (for use with Outlook 2002) Please

Here's the deal. In April 2009, I left my job. Before leaving, I made a copy of my Microsoft Outlook 2003 .pst file. It's nearly 10 concerts!

Now I work at home and using an earlier version of Microsoft Outlook (2002) and have to deal with this problem of compatibility. Essentially, I can't open my old work using Outlook 2002 pst file. (What I read in many too many forums, it's a compatibility problem.)

To try to solve it, I installed a trial version of Outlook 2007 and am trying to move the contents of my old pst file works (even once, created using Outlook 2003 and * unfortunately * has not created as compatible) to a compatible version that will allow me to open it and use it with Outlook 2002.

The only problem is that the size of my file is too large, because aparently Microsoft Outlook 97-2002 personal folders (.pst) files have a limit of 2 GB.

What can I do? I don't want to pay to upgrade Outlook just to have access to my emails! (Presumably open endedly on why Microsoft would ideally be neglect this issue in its help and support pages, but for my part I am looking to find a solution, not an enemy.) Is it possible to simply wear allowance size of the files in personal folders Microsoft Outlook 97 - 2002 (.pst) somehow? What other options I have? Thanks in advance for any help you kind people can offer.

Open your data file in the trial of OL2007
Create a new data file in the old format (97-2002)
Copy the data from your origonal to this
You will need to create multiple pst
Earlier versions of outlook may be hesitant of data 1.6 GB file size

How to export data from the .pst file if you want to save only some of your Outlook data, you can create a new backup .pst file only the data you want to save. It is also known under the name of export data from the .pst file. For example, you can use this section if you have important information in some files only and you have other less important elements in many more. You can export only the important files or contacts and omit folders and sent messages.

Follow these steps to export a specific folder:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. On the file menu, click import and export. If the menu item is not available, rest your pointer over the chevrons at the bottom of the menu, and then click import and export.
    3. Click export to a file, and then click Next.
    4. Click on personal folder (.pst) file , and then click Next.
    5. Click the folder that you want to export the .pst file, and then click Next.
    6. Click Browseand select the location where you want the new .pst file to be saved.
    7. In the file name box, type the name that you want to use for the new .pst file, and then click OK.
    8. Click Finish.

  • can I send my AOL to Microsoft Outlook emails?

Hello.  I have the new laptop with Vista and MS Office.  Can I set up my Outlook so that it gets all my AOL emails and I see them to Outlook?  AOL is my personal e-mail account, but the interface is quite poor and difficult to use for any home office or business. I prefr the interface of the Outlook I use at work/Office.  But do not know how I can implement the "back-end" to my laptop at home so all my AOL emails are routed to Outlook rather than having to go on the Webmail to check AOL... probably I set up the news of the POP server and all that sort of thing.  Which I've never done if someone can point me in the right direction or at an easy-to-follow this tutorial would be great.

    Thank you very much

  • ActiveX reading Outlook calendar and task list

    Hello

I did some work for the Microsoft Outlook interface, and one of my LabVIEW applications.  I am currently able to create tasks, mail and calendar items.  I was also able to understand how to read my contacts list.  Unfortunately, I can't find the right combination of nodes to read my calendar or mail.

Can someone point me in the right direction (ie the order of ActiveX classes/Invoke nodes to use) to make this work?  I know it should be easy, I'm not very familiar with ActiveX.  I appreciate any help you can provide.  Thank you.

    Bryan

I was playing with reading mail and calendar and downloaded the file without changing the two back.  Looks like I just made a stupid mistake and had an invoke when I needed a property node.  Your example taken care of him.  Thanks for the help.

    The following versions of Microsoft Outlook are fully supported on Windows 7;

    • Outlook 2003
    • Outlook 2007
    • Outlook 2010 (when it came out)

It is recommended to always update your version of Outlook directly after installation to take care of any question of incompatibility which have been corrected.

    Previous versions
    Another version of Outlook is not supported on Windows 7. Although you may install it, any compatibility issues is not corrected. For example;

    • Outlook 2002/XP works on Windows 7, but it has the same problems remember password when using Windows Vista.
    • Outlook 2000 cannot be installed in Internet Mail Only Mode (IMO) and must be installed in company/workgroup (CW Mode) Mode to prevent a mistake wab.dll.

  • Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mail (Outlook Express)

I think about going to use Windows Mail using Microsoft Outlook.  In addition to the management of contacts and calendar features, you can specify the main advantages of using Outlook on Windows Mail (formerly Outlook Express)?

Right now, I use XP and Vista on two separate computers, but I think to buy the new Windows 7 computer.

    Thank you

Well, you will not be able to use Windows Mail on Win7 without do a hack job, and you cannot use Outlook Express on Win7 except in XP Mode, (Pro, Enterprise, or Ultimate only), so the biggest advantage would be the possibility of using the same client messaging on all your machines.

  • Is there a way to recover Microsoft Outlook data after reinstalling Vista?

I had to reinstall Vista Ultimate to solve a problem on my computer (as the manufacturer helpdesk told me), and then all the old data on the C drive has been erased. This was done in a hurry, and I don't remember to keep all Outlook files (and then lost all emails, contacts, entered calendar etc.). Is there a way to recover these data now?

If you have an installation clean back to factory settings, you normally wiped your hard drive clean during the process.

    You can try this program:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.
