Microsoft Picture It 2002 compatibility in Windows 7 Professional or family

Help! I NEED MY "MICROSOFT PICTURE IT 2002"! It does not work under Vista! Windows XP mode 7 Professional let me install and run it? It will work in W7 Home Premium?

Hello justme74903,

Picture IT 2002 is a program which is not compatible and will not work with Windows 7.

Because you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

I suggest that send you feedback to Microsoft that there are others who feel as you do.

  • Unable to import photos scanned using Microsoft Picture IT 2002, error: he must be stopped.

Original title: problem with Microsoft Picture It 2002.

I've been using Microsoft Picture It on my computer for several years and I really like the program. I recently had to replace my computer a virus, so I chose to buy a new machine and still run Windows XP as I have been for many years. I reloaded the software on the new machine and everything seems fine until I try to import a scanned photo. It goes through the process of analysis very well, but just as he finished the scan it gives an error message and says he has to end! ?? I remember having the same problem when I first loaded the software on my other computer. At that time I contacted support and they helped me to get into the program and I did some kind of change that solved the problem, with their help. I can't for the life of me remember what it was they had me change?! I found a link to a downloadable patch, but the page is no longer valid. I can't find the answer anywhere! ?? I know that it's a simple solution and I hope someone here can tell me what is this simple fix! ?? Fingers crossed!

Finally, I spotted a link to a working patch that fixed my problem. Looked for a 'pi19299 '. It took awhile to find an active link, but I finally did and it fixed it immediately and my picture it now works fine on my new XP with Internet Explorer Version 8 machine! Hooray!

  • Try using Microsoft Picture It! Publishing in Windows 7. When you try to start a new project or use the Save function under get the message "Windows has stopped working".

Microsoft Picture It 2001 software installed in Windows 7.  Program will show a project that I recorded in Windows XP that I upgraded to Windows 7, but it wont let me save the project under a different name.  The program does not let me start a blank project.  I get the error message "Picture It! has stopped working.  A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "Windows did not close the program and did not warn me of a solution.

Microsoft Picture IT is not officially compatible with Windows 7. Microsoft's picture IT was abandoned and has been replaced by Windows Live Photo Gallery. You can download Windows Live Photo Gallery for free and install it on Windows 7, but there only basic editing features.

    Windows Live Photo Gallery:

  • Windows 7 Professional and Family Pack

Two days ago I installed Windows 7 Pro on my machine and I would like to know how to extend this license to a family (3 users) pack.

Moreover, I also used a few months ago the Release Candidate version, and I was already very satisfied; the official version works quite well. I hope someone finds a way to make my Avid also quite expensive Liquid Pro - license to work with Windows 7 64 bit...

    Hello

Sorry for the bad news, but the Family Pack includes only the Home Premium version.

You may want to consider purchasing the OEM versions at an online retailer if you are looking for a good deal. These are the exact same versions as the retail, they just have the restriction being attached to the first machine where they are installed and no official support. The OEM version is also the full version. It can be installed on a blank hard drive.

You can usually get these for about half what would cost the full retail version.

    Newegg.com - OEM of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack

    I hope this helps.

  • Microsoft license question for usage of Windows XP/7 with Parallels for Mac

My mother bought an iMac two weeks ago (OSX/Lion). She plans to install Parallels and wants to use the Windows license of its old Windows XP machine that does more boot. Someone told me that Microsoft license requires that you use Windows 7 Professional or Enterprise - you cannot use Home Edition. Does anyone know what rule of Microsoft, for this for Windows 7 and Windows XP? I ask because it has Windows XP Professional now, I think, but could buy Windows 7 on both. Thanks for the help.

If you have a commercial version of win, which is not currently installed on a PC, you can install it on any hardware/software that takes care of the victory. There is nothing in the MS Win license that specifies what type of device, it can be installed on. Unlike some other software manufacturers

There is a possibility that another installed 3rd party program or application is at the origin of the conflict with thissoftware. You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

  • What replaced software Microsoft Picture It! Publishing home 2002?

I have Microsoft Picture It! publishing on my old computer and I loved it.  It was easy to use and I could do so many creative things about it.  When I got a new computer (my husband bought me the HP Media Center, I think that's what it was) I tried the photo more recent editing program that came with it, but do not like it so I loaded Picture It! on this computer.  It was not totally compatible, but I never got it to work... sometimes.  Now I have a new PC and it is not compatible at all.

I have yet to find a software photo editing with the possibility of making flyers, invitations, etc. with the ease of use I got with photo!  I used a version of PhotoSuite years that I liked, but then they went and 'improved' that too.
What is a good and simple to use the software for the home edition that would be comparable to Microsoft Picture It! Publishing House?

Have you seen this post and read it (its quite long) - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/microsoft-picture-it-incompatability-with-windows/b761119e-f826-4794-8c9b-6610b3658832?page=1&tm=1344076643856 began in December 2009 and its still ongoing! I think its safe to say, you're not alone.

Anyway, here are a few "adjustments" that some claim gets IP running on W7 (I did not try) including things like trying to install W98 compatibility modeand then run in W98 compatibility and perhaps also as administrator mode. Good reading, it can be useful.

It depends on what you want to do, but there are tools free Photo who can do some or all of your requirements, things like Paint.net, Picasa or GIMP (and I don't know there are others) but I don't know how compatible they are with EPS files.

As always, AV scan all download before installing.

  • Microsoft Picture It incompatibility with Windows 7 and the alternatives for the .mix files.

I have been using Microsoft Picture It for years to design a ton of graphics for my business and now I bought a new pc with Windows 7 and find that my true love Picture It! is not compatible.  I never dreamed that this would be the case for a software that is not even a decade or just spent thousands on the new pc would sit immediately to the store that it came.  I really feel that Microsoft has cheated me on something that I paid for and invested so much work making it unusable, and it brought my small business to a standstill.  What other program is available that is compatible with Windows 7 that will allow me to edit and view existing and another .mix Picture It! file format and contain all the features of Picture It?  I'd be willing to buy other Microsoft software to Picture It compatible with Windows 7 if necessary.

    Hi all

I know you are all disappointed that Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 7.

Your comments would be better heard if you send to the site Windows 7 comments.
    http://mymfe.Microsoft.com/Windows%207/feedback.aspx?formid=195

Here are your options when the software is not compatible:

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:
    (1) right click on the program
    2) click Properties
    3) click on the Compatibility tab
    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP, Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player
(www.vmware.com) or any other virtualization 3party software and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • Installation of Microsoft Picture it! Publishing Platinum 2001 on Windows 7

I you LIKE Microsoft Picture it!.  There is no other product out there that allows you to edit, crop, to improve your photos and make a variety of products such as cards, flyers, ads, etc.

But I bought a new computer and it came with Windows 7.  I installed the program, but it will not be open upwards.  Says "he has experience an error and windows will shut down and seek a solution for the error.  I think that perhaps the program is not compatible with Windows 7.

Does anyone have a method to install Microsoft Picture It! on Windows 7.  If so, I'd like to know what I can do to get this installed.  I have hundreds of projects, I finished and now I can't access one of them - nor new credit.

Thanks to anyone who can help with that.  Thank you

    Compatibility

You have the latest version of the software? Some earlier programs may not work in Windows 7.

If this is not the case, check with the program manufacturer if they have updates or fixes for the software.

Windows 7 Compatibility Center check the compatibility of the programs:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

    Troubleshoot Compatibility

This can help with some (but not all) programs:

    (1) uninstall the program, if it is already installed. Then when install you / reinstall instead of double click on the Setup file, right click and select 'resolve compatibility issues.

    (2) then click on 'Try recommended settings' and in the next window, click on "Start the Program" to install it.

    (3) after he set up see if it works properly. Note: some programs are perhaps not able to run in windows 7.

  • Any chance of Microsoft reissue a patch for Picture It 2002?

Anyone think that Microsoft will issue a patch for Picture It 2002?  I love this program because he had so many beautiful graphics of desktop publishing in addition to good photo editing.  Forget the photo editing, I want the authorized graphics!

Just try running in compatibility mode, make a shortcut for the program on your desktop, right click, click Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, select run in the box way of comparability and right under Select an operating system, the latter worked on then click on apply, if this does not work then I'm afraid that there is not much more that this is possible I'm afraid. Although if it worked on XP before you can download Virtual PC and run through that, if trees option works pretty good you chuck a link for the virtual machine.
