Microsoft Visual C++ and MSXML 4.0

Hello, I know that a lot of these questions have been asked, but I'm looking for something more specific.

I'm a player, I play:

Skyrim

League of Legends

Elder Scrolls online

Eve Online

My laptop is mainly used for simple to complex searches on Google online search and watch anime videos and Streaming from other players online to these games I just mentioned.

Now I have about 10 of these C++ programs and that I cross to remove and I know I can install them if the case is that I can't play these games, look at what I would watch without them, but they seem familiar to me because I took a computer program at the College and so I thought that it was mostly just to do with the Java computer programs I had We used C++ installed... Of course, programs I see on the list Add/Remove Programs dates even further back when I was in college program.

I'm just making sure that doing what I specified is wrong to result in a lost me these games running or doing research that I do? I use no more than C++, and I uninstalled the program itself.

In addition, by removing these, I think I have to free up space on my computer that will also help me to run games faster and better?

"that will also help me run games faster and better?

There will be no advantage with the speed of game or the quality. Quality and speed of the game is, for the most part,

dependant on the hardware. If your laptop has not raised enough features there is

little you can do to improve the frame rate or use high graphics settings.

Read my response below--

http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/profile/a0f7b8a2-5b01-45b3-980F-e461c235c21b

"but they seem familiar to me because I took a computer program at the College.

Then you would have noticed that they have different version numbers. While there may be

not much difference between the versions, games that use a specific version cannot

rely on this small change.

Skyrim uses C++ 2010 X 86.

Elder Scrolls Online - I don't know, maybe C++ 2010, but possibly C++ 2012

LoL - also a recent game so probably one of the more recent versions, but not necessarily.

Eve Online would likely use an older version, as it has been around for a few years.

EDIT: MSXML - I have two versions of MSXML 4.0 (Hmm... Why not 4.1? ) - 4.20.9870.0 & 4.20.9876.0

After that you can reinstall the two, but Microsoft Visual C++ first.

Win vista Ultimate 64 bit SP2

    Hi, Frank C.

Visual studio updates will be offered if you have visual studio installed on the computer.

First of all, I'd say you check in the programs and features to see if visual studio or visual C++ is installed on the computer.

    (a) by clicking on the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking programs, and then clicking programs and features, open programs and features.

These services are offered through optional updates in Windows update.

If you do not either of the program installed on the computer, or you don't want these updates, you can hide it on windows update so that it is not available again.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.

    (b) in the left pane, click check for updates , and then, when Windows finds updates for your computer, click view available updates.

    (c) with the right button the update, you do not want to install, and then click hide update. The next time you check the updates, the update will not be automatically selected or installed. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Ask yourself what MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430) and MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KD973688) I was able to delete them?

Do not delete one of them.  They are there for a reason.  The amount of space, you can free up is negligible anyway.  When you can buy a 1.5 TB for $90 hard drive, it's a waste of time and effort to worry about a few megabytes.  And if you delete something you need, the consequences can be disastrous.

    By the way 1 TB = 1 000 000 megabytes.

    Good luck.
