Windows backup error Code: 0x8007007B
I have a Lacie external hard disk, and the drive letter is H for it on my system. I run the "Backup and Restore" program of Windows 7 and accept the default settings. I put the location of the backup on my drive (H) and start the backup process. The system starts the backup with the progress bar. After about 6-7 minutes, the red bar appears and the system said of "the last backup failed with success." Click on for more information, the system gives the following details:
The file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect
Error code: 0x8007007B
What is wrong on Earth?
Hello
Check if you have two drives C: in the list with the same name of Volume (see figure below). Uncheck the box for the double volume and select the check box for the good player (the one with the Windows logo).
Fig 2: System Restore enabled for the wrong drive. (The image is for the restoration of the system; in your case check in the backup and restore)
If you can't find two volume labels then try that explained below. Not sure of the problem. But give it a try. Reset your default backup and start over. Make sure you have disabled any antivirus on the computer temporarily.
Support user and system - reset the default Configuration files
If u look around here in the link it seems to be several different backup problems.
Let me know what happened

The installed product key is a license key from the KMS Volume - valid ONLY within the network of the issuing organization, and requires periodic reactivation at the level KMS servers in the organization.
There is no sign that this machine is connected to a network of business or organization.
Where did you get this installation of Windows 7 Enterprise? (which is itself only a Volume License edition)?
If this is your school or work, contact the system administrator for assistance.
If you have purchased this installation - it is wrong.

Windows Update error code 646 & dt000.
Received the Windows Update error Code 646 & dt000 does not allow the following 2 updates be installed (KB976382 KB981725) what I need to do.
Sorry, you have problems getting your patches installed. I have a number of things for you to look at. First of all, yourBackground Intelligent Transfer Services set toAutomaticand started and Windows Update ? They both should be started. You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.
Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually. Click each of the links below and click on download and run. You must accept the agreement and then click on continue.
If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner. Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or can clear the virus that can prevent the installation of the patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm. Click full service scan, and thenQuick scan (full scan takes a long time to complete). Try the patches.

Windows Update "error Code 80244019.
Can someone please help me why this error; Windows Update error Code 80244019 appears when I update my computer? I think it's due to the update of Windows Defender does not. I use Windows Vista. Please can someone help me solve this problem?
I would check to see if you have a Trojan or a virus on your system. He saw several cases with that error and it has been resolved by removing the Trojan horse and reboot your system. Once the Trojan horse has been removed, they were able to install from Windows Update again. It seems possible that your Windows installation has been damaged deliberately by a Trojan horse to avoid you update your system or remove the Trojan horse. Your first priority should be to clean your PC of any malware.
(1) check that the definitions for Windows Defender is updated.
Windows Defender is a free program that helps you stay productive by protecting your computer against the pop-ups, slow performance and threats caused by software security spyware and other potentially unwanted software.
You can download Defender from the following web site.
(2) you can scan your computer now online and clean for free with Live OneCare with the scanner that is available on the following web site. Windows Live OneCare safety scanner is a free service designed to help ensure the health of your PC. It check and remove viruses and to get rid of the junk on your hard drive.
http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/tryscanner.htm
(3) use the malicious software removal tool to find malware. This tool checks your computer infections by specific, prevalent malicious software (including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom) and helps to remove the infection if it is found. Microsoft will release an updated version of this tool the second Tuesday of each month. You can download the removal tool from the malicious software from the following web site.

Search for malware:

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.
The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:
Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.
Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:
You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:
Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310312You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...
When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:
-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file. You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...
1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
2. click on the System Restore tab.
3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
5. click on OK. Then click OK again. You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...
Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...
-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
-Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
-Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer. You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

Hello
After replacing my old HDD with a new SSD, I successfully used my purchased 1 & 2 recovery discs to reload Windows 7 x 64. Now, I am able to connect to the internet and navigate through Internet Explorer, but I can't get Windows Update to work. I get this error: Windows Update 8024A 000 error Code.
I researched and found this fix:
However, after you follow the steps to stop services, rename the specified files, register the dll, and then finally to leave the services, I'm still having the problem. I also ran a utility "fix" looking for issues with the Windows Update utility, it has been correctly executed and said it solved the problem, but the problem persists. I get more a 8024, 000 of the error, but the update still does not work.
I don't him have not yet tried this, because of the weather, but will plan no later than today:
In safe mode, access c:\windows\ and rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old.
OK and restart.I also tried to upgrade to the latest version of the Windows Update utility which has as well. I can install other applications (e.g., Norton anti-virus, java, adobe flash player) without problem.
I noticed that I have not installed ServicePack 1, I did before as I have reimagee my computer. I need to install this first?
Anyone has any ideas, or did I miss something?
Your help is appreciated!
Thanks, Orrin
I was able to find a solution to this problem. It is a problem with the HP recovery disk image. It does not correctly install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver.
To resolve this issue, go here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20868/RAID-Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-for-Intel-Desktop-Boards
Download and install the version appropriate for your respective operating system. As soon as it was installed it fixed my Windows Update doesn't work not, error: 8024a 000
Thank you
Orrin
