Vista 64-bit and D7360

My Vista 64 bit laptop computer connects to my LAN via a wireless router.  My printer is connected to the USB port on my router.  My computer laptop 32 bit Vista print on my printer as expected.  My new laptop 64 bit will not print.  It goes into the print queue and just stays there.  If I connect my portable 64-bit on my printer via a USB cable, it will print.  What it will take to print when connected wireless to my local network?

Did you mean that the machine is connected to the router via USB? What kind of router is it and a USB device on the router is treated like a network or USB device?

I guess that it is treated as a network device. Installation of D7360 asks if the unit is placed on local (USB) or network, if the USB was chosen first, the SAME connection through network does not work. You need to reinstall the driver (or if you know pilots, you mangle via the reguistry). By the fact that you can print via direct USB, I think the easy way is to uninstall the driver (not just delete the printer) and install it again as a network device.

I have two laptops, running a Vista 32 bit and the other works under Windows 7 64-bit.  Can I use SkyDrive to synchronize folders and files between two computers?  I am the only user of both computers

SkyDrive will be see no difference between the different OS and bit versions. You can upload your documents to SkyDrive from a Vista 32 bit and download them on a 64-bit of Windows 8, or even on a Mac.

For a real-life example, I created earlier today a PowerPoint presentation using a 32-bit Office PowerPoint 2010 on a 32-bit Windows Home Premium, uploaded to SkyDrive and later at home, downloaded on my Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and continued to edit with Office PowerPoint 2013.

Your files and documents "know not"what version of the program and the OS bits, they were created with. " Bit version is important when it comes programs and system files, not with your personal files and documents.

    Hello

Depends on which edition of Vista you use on Windows 7 edition, you can switch to.

And as you use 32-bit, you can only switch to Windows 7 32 bit.

32-bit to 64-bit should be done with a clean install.

Before purchasing Windows 7, follow these steps:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the network adapter.

To do this follow these steps:

    1. click on Start, in the Start Search bar type device manager and press enter.

    2. in the list of devices, right-click of the network adapter, and then click on uninstall, if she invites you to completely remove the driver files, click ok to delete.

3 restart the computer once the uninstall is complete.

    4. after the computer restarts, it will automatically detect and install the drivers.

    5. check if the problem is resolved.

  • Qosmio F50 - 10G - Windows Vista 64 bits and drivers

    I use Qosmio F50 - 10g to end 20 days now.
It has 32-bit operating system on and I think that there is still no support for 64-bit drivers.

If I'm not wrong x 305 series have support of 64-bit drivers and configuring two laptops are similar.
I was hoping to create a 64-bit backup Dvd, but there is no 64-bit, if I'm not mistaken on my pc.

So any suggestions regarding the use of 64-bit on those computers drivers?
Or should I just wait for Toshiba to release 64-bit drivers?

    THX.

    Hello

It seems that, at the moment, only the BIOS and the BT stack was published for Vista 64 bit OS.
But I'm sure other drivers 64 bit Vista will be released in the near future.

So I would recommend waiting until the 64-bit drivers are online!

  • Can I upgrade Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows Vista 64 - Bit and preserve everything?

I have a computer with Windows Vista 32 - Bit OS.  I have also 4 GB of RAM, but as the OS is 32-bit, he acknowledges that 3 out of 4 GB.  So, my question is, can I upgrade to a version 64 bit Vista and preserve files and programs, or what I have to buy a copy of Windows Vista 64-bit?

    Thank you

    Hello.

No.; You cannot switch from 32-bit to 64-bit.

It must be done with a new installation of the 64-bit operating system.

There has never been a way to upgrade.

You should backup your data, copy it into the 64 bit OS and reinstall all your programs

    Microsoft sells more than Vista.

And before you buy Windows 7:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

  • I removed Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit installed, but when I enter the key it says the key is already in use. How can I fix it?

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 bit edition

I bought Windows Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 in a box in 2008, I installed the 32 edition because at the time I was told not all software will work with the edition 64 a month ago, I decided to windows 7 Ultimate Via Amazon purchase which proved be a copy of the counterfeit money and Amazon me has now repaid , so what I do, well I could buy another copy of windows 7 Ultimate or I could give the other Version of windows that came in the same box with a product key a go, so I removed and formatted the hard drive and reinstalled 64 bit version on my drive using the product key original that I used on the 32-bit Edition for four years and when I try to register the 64 bits edition, that is to say someone else using this product key, you will have to buy another key or a copy of windows 7. Well, I decided to wait until Windows 8 will be released, that's why I decided to try the Vista 64 - bit Edition?

Or better yet, I might switch to a Mac OS x system?

The answer is not to buy Windows 7 from a dealer on the market of Amazon.  Stick to Amazon itself.  Amazon Marketplace is as eBay and other auction sites and online delivery.  It is composed of persons whose practices sales are questionable.  You won't get counterfeit product from Amazon itself.

You have to solve the problem with Vista 64-bit using phone activation.

Activate by phone.  http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc736912 (WS.10) .aspx

Or click Start and type ' slui.exe 4.

Do not answer all prompts automatic until it asks you if you want to speak to an agent.

If you continue to have problems with activation, run the MGADiag (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 ) tool

Once downloaded, run the tool. Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button. Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.

I am running windows vista 64-bit.  The company that I will help believes they use free RealVNC 1.2.4.0.  I have no experience with VNC and this company does not have much.  Their current version of VNC is compatible with my Vista system?  I'll be able to use their freeware or do I need to buy a licensed product?  Are there other versions of PNT out there that are already compatible with what they have - there are several already hung computers?  Just try to check my options.

What vm product should I consider on my new laptop 64 bit... ?

I think that the best product for your use would be VMware Workstation; However, it is not a "free" product I would suggest starting with VMware Server or VMware Player - these two are free and will allow you to run the virtual machines that you want to run. These two products are really intended to very different use cases:

    VMware Player

Intended for the performance of virtual machines that are generated by someone else (i.e. Virtual Appliances). There are free sites out there for you to create your own virtual machines (VMX Builder & EasyVMX!, so this isn't a problem.) The thing that really distinguishes the player outside the server's user interface. Drive is really much better if you intend to sit in the front of the system running the VMware product. You will get a much more responsive user experience.

    VMware Server

Expected to run virtual machines on a server "headless". You can create virtual machines, but the great "fight" with the server, is that you basically have to use a program of remote access to access/use your virtual machines. Server comes with a bundled remote access solution, but it is - say - not the best thing for constant use.

If you use one of them to start with and you find that you want available in VMware Workstation features, then you can go out and spend the money to purchase a license (you can also start with a free trial of workstation...)
