  Windows XP is still very stable and reliable. If you want to upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows 8, you can do it. It's a good idea to upgrade your operating system to get used to a new User Interface that would give you a new experience altogether.

• Can not copy / paste from/in firefox under Windows 8 x 64

  These problems started when I installed windows 8 x 64 on my pc at home, with windows 7 x 64 there was no problems at all.

  The problem is that I can't copy/cut anything from Firefox and paste it into e.g. microsoft office word or notepad ++ or anything ELLs.

  I would like to add your comments or request for a basic function of following:

  When you try to take a preview of Skype with Windows 10 customer comment there is no way to highlight and then paste in the Clipboard.

• Copy/paste from Microsoft outlook crashes CS5?

  Note: This is not a new error, this happened for several months, but did not initially. I don't know when the change came, but since the addition of cloud, it seems to happen more often.

  When copying and pasting the text from Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, if she is not pasted into an existing text box, Illustrator crashes everytime.

  I can't imagine (the reasons of) a workflow where you are systematically copy/paste text from Outlook Illustrator. Paste text directly from a program potentially applies to any amount of markup hidden is misguided and that includes all of Microsoft Office. When it works, you're just lucky, I think. Is not the answer you want, but for what it's worth, I never would consider even copy/paste from any desktop application in any Adobe application without an intermediate step to stick to and copied-from a text editor.

• Microsoft Update will not work

  Microsoft Update will not run through Internet Explorer.

  I seem to encounter two different errors and there seems to be no trend about which error appears where or when or why.

  One is 0x800A138F: the site has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view.

  I don't remember exactly what it was or said, but it was similar.

  I tried the solutions so far:

  -restart the computer, internet, etc.

  -added the Windows Update and Microsoft Update for Trusted Sites (I did years ago)

  -reset of Trusted Sites as the Internet zone settings

  -connected Microsoft Fix - It here: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_update/en-us

  -a attempted to run the windowsupdate.diagcab from here: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/windows-update-issues?wa=wsignin1.0

  As with many other users of this forum, I can't run this .diagcab file. Looking at the many messages on this file, no one has yet solved anything. It seems that Microsoft has yet to recognize or acknowledge that they're providing a tool that is unusable. I hope I've provided enough information to lead to a resolution. I also sent a report through the Fix - It tool when it has not changed anything.

  You can use a node called App.Clipboard Read to get the data to the format delimited by tabs. You can then manipulate these string data in your table or a table.

• Windows XP will not load past the Blue error screen

  Hi, wondering for a while if someone can help me...

  My xp system will not load past the Blue error screen that is displayed when the computer stopped suddenly or inadequate.

  No matter what are the measures that you choose to take (safe mode, the most recent configurations... etc) the system will just beyond the blue screen on the windows logo download page, where the loading bar moves about 10 seconds before returning to the blue loading page.

  So far I have tried to leave the computer as long as an unused months while I was abroad, remove the battery for varying amounts of time and leaving the computer as long as a day.

  In the absence of a recovery disk, I have no idea how to do to return to the form and would like to receive advice or suggest, keeping in mind I'm not a computer genius (if had'nt you may have guessed). Preferably, without losing my element pictures and videos stored on the hard drive, but it's just preference.

  It does not seem good friend if the Windows operating system does not start even using safe mode, then I don t think you will be able to run the operating system without new OS reinstallation. :(

  To back up data from the HARD drive I recommend that you connect the internal HARD drive to external USB HDD controller and a backup of the HARD drive on another computer.

  Then you could try to reinstall the operating system on your laptop using the Toshiba Recovery CD

  For two weeks I was faced with an update from microsoft that will not be installed. That's my faithful old XP.

  If you reinstalled Windows, you must reinstall Works to which it has been installed from the original media.
