Migration of Aperture 3.6 to 6-How Lightroom library?

Just installed Lightroom 6.7 on Mac Book Pro.

Long-time user (NOVICE level to two applications) of 3.6 of the opening.

I understand, there could be problems when moving my RAW of Aperture libraries in LR6?

My goal is to move away the LR6 opening with all my NAVE and their 'version', I edited.

I want to use an external HD - 4 to via WIFI (via Time Capsule) to keep all the stored LR catalogs.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • How to use PowerPhotos to perform a migration of Aperture for photo

We are running Yosemite and openness. We have about 10 Aperture libraries, some libraries have about 6000 images.

We have the Photos app on our Mac but don't use it yet.   What workflow we should follow to upgrade to El Capitan and migrate from Aperture for the Photos using PowerPhotos.

I have been informed that we should first upgrade to El Capitan.   But I don't know how to use PowerPhotos to help us in this migration.

I read on the PowerPhotos site below.

"If you have a lot of existing iPhoto or libraries to open that you want to migrate Photos, PowerPhotos will help automate your migration if you do not have to spend time to care for children of this long process."

It's a good question for FatCat (authors of PowerPhotos) support or study Chapter 7 of their manual - https://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powerphotos/Help/table%20of%20contents.html

I have Lightroom on my iMac and MacBook Air, I just new MacBook Pro, all migrated to Pro air but will not work Lightroom until I have disable it on the Air.  HOW CAN I DO THIS?

There is no such thing as disabling Lightroom 5.7. Just uninstall the software.

Looks like you have installed 6 Lightroom on two of your computers (including the MacBook Air). In this case, you must find and launch Lightroom 6 (not Lightroom 5.7 or any other version of Lightroom 5) on the MacBook Air and then in the menu help, select logout.

  • Migrating from Aperture 3 for LR5

I downloaded just LR5 and you want to migrate from Aperture 3.

The instructions are to go to LR-> file-> Plugin select that does not appear as a choice.

I can't find my Aperture library on my Mac desktop or my external hard drive devices.

Can you help me get started so I can jump in the pool to LR?

It cannot be that difficult to go there.

    Thank you.

I don't see the option file-> Plugin options.

Hmm, something is really wide.  Why don't you start LR and then take a screenshot in typing Command-Shift-3.  This will put a PNG on your desktop.  Return to this topic in your Web browser (do not e-mail), start an answer and then click on the camera icon to download the screenshot here:

  • Migration from Aperture to Lightroom

    Hello

Having recently adopted the 'El capitan' OS, I have more access to opening or Iphoto... I own a version of LR5 with the plugin "Import opening", except in Quebec...

An installation of the Bazaar, I opened 'Photo' curiosity, and I had to safely guard authorize importer all my Aperture library: what he did, but only Raw files without retouching, cropping, tris etc...

now, when I click in LR5 on the plugin, he refuses to open the library, it having been converted without that my noticing en a library called '... ". migrated aplibary. And when I try to open this library with the option "Iphoto importing" it tells me that I don't have the right version of Iphoto

Of course, I did not keep a backup copy of the Aperture library... Therefore, lost of are 6700 patiently retouched photos, except to start from the raw Raw sorted and untagged.

Is there an idea pour find, despite the steamroller Apple photo that seems built for all destroy my retouched images in its path, and in to classify the LR5?

    Thank you

You can also still buy perpetual CS6 700 $ $1000 Standard extended.

  • Migrating from JBoss to WebLogic 10.3: how to set the system property?

    Hello
I am migrating from JBoss to WebLogic, and I need to define a global property.

What I need to do, is to link my path of the properties file for a global property accessible to all applications deployed on the server, in order to find the path of my applications (EJB 2.1) and access the properties without cutting the path of the properties file in the code.

In jboss, I used the file "properties - service.xml", in which I can set the key/value pairs, and the key will be published to the server and available programmatically as a property system through the call "System.getProperty ().

How can I do the same in weblogic 10.3?

    Thank you!

    Yes

In both options... .reading the code in the file property will be the same.

    Thank you

  • ESB and BPEL 10.1.3.4 - deployment and migration of code... . How?

I want to deploy my services esb and bpel process in my QA/TEST of DEV environment. Projects refers to some external xsd, wsdl, soap url in the wsdl, what change I get dev-> QA-> PROD. I read about the use of ANT scripts to do the same thing. However, I am not able to get a starting point. can someone share some details on how to go about migration I say a simple bpel file that wants to say 1 file xsd and 1 wsdl file. the wsdl file has an url that changes as I migrate SOAP. can someone provide a step by step guide?

ANT is the way to go, as to 10.1.3.3 Oracle provided the framework to allow this

In the SOA_HOME/integration/esb/deployment (I think), there is a zip for the deployment file. Unizip and documentation is here. What you need to do is to create a deployment plan, once done, you can change the URL to point the appropriate environment.

There are many post on this topic, on this forum and on google.

  • How do you export an Aperture to Lightroom library?

I have Lightroom v. 5.x and I want to export my library in Ant opening opening not lose my changes or metadata.  In other words, I don't want to import all the raw files in Lightroom and have to change them again.  I thought I could export all projects jpg and then import them, but I'd rather have to change again without losing quality and RAW files.  Any suggestions?

Sorry, but that's not an option - LR can not use the Aperture library - you need to export your photos (either the originals or the current version) and import into LR

Export as a JPEG of high quality images gives you data loss minimum with sizes of files a little reasonable - you really want without data loss, then export as TIFF that require a lot of disk

  • What is the best way to update a site to that. I build it as a trial site and then migrate the existing accommodation? If so, how?

I would like to know the best way to upgrade an existing catalyst business ecommerce site to become repsonsive. I have a new model and would like to be able to be implemented without having to add all the Info page and product.

You do not need to start from scratch, you can make sensitive sites but its never going to be as good, or even as a site built with that in mind. Actually, that makes a huge difference to the way a website is designed.

You can build a site on a development site and the port, we often... But do not think about what changes, what remains the same, how you take it a direct site (about a day or more) replacement of files, 301 redirects if you changed your URL, backups... and so on.

You can copy your site which will be over of ports of things like pages and products, and you can then delete the templates and css, the js files, etc if you want and go from there.

One of the major downfalls of Aperture is that it shows you where are your pictures. They always favored it as a feature (even as a ' new paradigm'), but it's not so wonderful when you need to do something about Apple never intended. Then, it sounds really like it led to you not knowing where your files or files that correspond to which elements of the UI opening. I suggest that you need to nail for yourself - images from Aperture to right click and choose Show in Finder, until you know where everything is.

Otherwise, make sure you have plenty of available disk space, stop asking questions and just see what happens when you run plugin import LR with the options I suggested. It won't damage the opening.

  • Import Aperture to Lightroom library questions

Fully, I have to confess that maybe it's my fault as a beginner LR, but the import of my opening is an unusable mess and I need help/advice! I use LR CC and opening 3.6.

I have 1 library in about 57 000 pictures opening. Before importing to LR, I checked for files offline, accurate, that opening is expected to generate large previews and selected the option keep my files referenced (as opposed to pulling all the images in a LR catalog).

My photos are all on a disk external HARD with a hierarchy like this:

    /photos_volume

    / < year of filming folder >

    / < month shoot folder >

    / < MM-JJ-AA name of shooting >

    / < MM-JJ-AA name of shooting >

.. and so on. Large. Oh, and the files/projects in Aperture are arranged in the same way as folders on the volume.

Yes, after the execution of the importer of opening (who ran - NOT a JOKE - 2.5 days), I find myself with a catalog not organized. It seems that he took a modified photos of a given meeting then put them in individual folders, named "MM-DD-AA. These are all JPEGs - OK, fine, I can live with that. But the worst thing is that I found myself with a jumbled folder hierarchy. There is a folder called "04" with all my shoots since April, regardless of the year (because my shoots all begin with the number of the month). However, for the folder called "07", there maybe 25% of my photos from July, the rest are outside of this folder and the files that are on the same hierarchical level.

Bottom line, it didn't even close organized the way it is in the opening or the way I want, and I don't know if I should just fix everything by hand over time, or to small libraries in Aperture (maybe one for each year?) and import it.

Thanks in advance for help or advice!

    Hello!

Sorry to hear that you are having problems of migration. Examine the options defined in the Aperture import dialog box

If you decide to generate previews of size for the adjusted images (1) the section referenced will have an additional option. To let your files exactly where they check the first option in the referenced section (2)

If you do not check the second option in the reference section (3), then you will get the additional folders created like the ones you describe. In your example, you mention that not all 07 files are there. This could be because not all of them have been adjusted in Aperture. If this second option in the referenced section is checked then the previews are added to the same folders as their original images are in and none of the additional folders are created. That leaves you with the same folder structure, you started with and a few other files for adjustments.

You might want to set up a small Aperture library with a subset of your images and experimenting with the importer of Lightroom settings to get the result you expect. Once you have the good value options so you can turn it loose your complete library.

Oh, also be aware that if one of the images in your library are actually MANAGED and UNREFERENCED they will be drawn in records created by Lightroom.

    Hope that helps!

  • How transefer library of music to another device (Apple Music)

I just purchased a subscription to the music of Apple and added music from my existing iTunes about 1400 songs library (not all songs have been purchased directly through iTunes but most were). Once I enabled the Apple music subscription however, my Macbook is no longer directly sync to my iPhone. This includes all my previous music and playlists as well. I would really only two devices to have the same things, but I can't figure out how to transfer all the music on my iPhone since my Macbook that contains my complete library. Can someone help me please understand the best way to complete this transfer without having to download all via wi - fi?

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7163823 - if you subscribed to Apple music or iTunes game, you will not have to run manually or synchronize music on a device in iTunes. Synchronize your music is made by iCloud and all of your eligible music should appear there. Movies can always be synchronized.
