Migration of ATG 11 with JbossEAP6.1

Hello

I'm working on the migration from 10.2 ATG to ATG11.

Application works well with ATG10.2 with JbossEAP5.1.

Path of config is loading three times in the file log and errors on way.

I don't know why config path and class path is loading 3 times and causing the errors above.

Please someone help me on this issue.

Thank you

Françoise

I solved the error.

Must be added below property in the file ${Application}.ear/META-INF/application.xml at the end of the file, before the tag.

true

If this property is not available that so JBossEAP6.1 invokes core 3 times and config path & classpath 3 loading because of that time it's errors as in the previous post.

Thank you

Françoise

It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post.  As he complains about MigrationBasis.  I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    database

    TO

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    consensus

And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

  • Migrate a virtual machine with snapshots.  Works?

In the past, moving VMs between databases or host with snapshots was deadly.

    It still happens in ESX4?

ESX4 does not throw the warning, as did ESX3.5.

You can migrate a virtual machine with snapshots, you can just see a different question.  You try to make a vMotion in vCenter?

What is the symptoms you see?

  • How to migrate all Windows data with attributes / privileges

I need create a new vmdk and transfer all the data to a physical windows, because I want to test.

What software can I use to migrate all the data with attiributes and privileges?

    WinSCP? Veeam?

    Kind regards!

If you have found this information useful, please consider awarding points to 'Correct' or 'Useful'*.

Attach your vmdk on a virtual Windows machine and use robocopy.

If the two machine Windows are in the same domain, you will have no problem with permissions and attributes.

  • Migration phase 3 DMVPN with Central Hub

I'm looking at the migration of my network DMVPN phase 2 phase 3. The current system contains 3 regional poles each serving about 100 rays. The final goal is to be able to build tunnels speaks to talk between sites that are hosted to the hubs in different regions. I understand from reading the document "Migrating from Dynamic Multipoint VPN Phase 2 phase 3" regional poles of phase 3 can be related in a hierarchy through a central hub, but there are no details in the doc and I was not able to find a white paper that addresses this specifically. Someone at - it experience with this topology or have the material regarding the deployment and configuration of nodal point?

    Kind regards

    Mike

    Mike,

DMVPN phase 3 is still a valid design choice, even if we are heading for FlexVPN/IKEv2 combo (eventually finished on ASRs)

That being said, the deployment is quite easy:

-Shortcuts PNDH (+ redirect PNDH, really unnecessary during stable operation) on the shelves

    -Redirect PNDH on the hubs.

Generally on regional hubs you would have a tunnel interface to the rays and the other (like talking) tunnel to the global hubs, remember that they must belong to the same network PNDH (i.e. same id PNDH network).

Now according to your choice Routing Protocol (BGP dimensionnera better, obviously), it's just a matter of right summarized advertising and setting the delays and costs.

The top level I know, if you want to read, google "BRKSEC DMVPN" you will find some different item of Cisco Live/Networkes of the past - my resource of choice.

I have about 30 Cubes, 40 + roles and 300 + users in Essbase 11.1.1.3 to migrate Mode native Essbase 11.1.2.2.  Magician breaks.  If not, how can I bring these security? I'm fine with the cubes.   Please H.E.L.P..

LCM expected to do, although there are one or two here on people with special difficulties with 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2 (by the way, looking for space and EMP Infrastructure one would likely throw up lots of useful information - not to mention Google to search Network54 etc.), and filter assignment seems to be a common problem.

Filter assignments to users/groups in Shared Services

There is also the path of migration of security more manual MaxL described (for example) here: Security Export and copy?

Finally, Celvin Kattookaran wrote a tool called NUMSYS: http://www.orahyplabs.com/2015/01/numsys-30-native-user-management-system.html

  • Migration to Cisco 1000v with portgroup Vmnic (almost there!)

I am trying to automate the following steps so that I can configure networking for a host, end-to-end (using vCenter 5.1, PowerCLI 5.1 Release 2 Build 1012425 to PowerCLI 6.0 Release 2 build 3056836). The host has two network adapters physical, one of which (vmnic0) is obviously taken by vSwitch0 during initial installation. So, I need to:

    (1) migrate physical vmnic1 a VDS (1000v)

    (2) set the GRPE of ports uplink for vmnic1 in the "system-binding rising-vc02."

    (3) turn on the VDS called "vc02-vmsc" vSwitch1 to a portgroup vmk0 management network.

    (4) physical vmnic0 pass vSwitch1 a VDS, adding to the bond rising portgroup "rising-vc02 system-binding."

I can only reach 1-3. I can handle a party of 4), moving the 1000v vmnic0, but only in the portgroup of 'Unused_or_Quarantine_Uplink' and not the one I need.

Stripped of any handling error, this is the code I used (largely provided by)

The bit that will move to vmnic0 VDS service is:

    # Get vmnic0 which is still connected to the vSwitch:
    $lastNic = 'vmnic0'
    $pnicToMove = Get-VMHostNetworkAdapter -VMHost $esxihost -Physical | Where { $_.Name -eq $lastNic }
    # Migrate vmnic0 from vSwitch to VDS:
    Add-VDSwitchPhysicalNetworkAdapter -DistributedSwitch $1000vName -VMHostPhysicalNic $pnicToMove -Confirm:$false

... but as I said, this only puts it in the Unused_or_Quarantine_Uplink group.

    1000v-migrate-uplink.png

I tried to repeat the code above this vmnic1 against vmnic0 objectives, but this indicates that the host is already member of the VDS.

I suspect that the answer lies in a change of migrate ESXi host physical adapters specific dvUplink port | vBombarded but I had no luck so far.

Help appreciated on the final bit

    Thank you.

I managed to solve this problem by using:

  • MS Windows Server Migration - physical to virtual with no. P2V

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could provide some ideas on the following situation we run into:

We have a file server Windows Server 2003 physical we want to virtualize.

Initially we wanted to P2V server and storage and create a vmdk for the server (drive C :) and a different vmdk for his (D: drive which is storage).)

We are now thinking about the possibility to create a new VM server with a clean install of Windows 2008 R2 and then copy the data to the SAN and present the LUN as RDM on the new VM server.

    I have the following questions/issues:

1.) as I said before that we do not perform a P2V instead, we want to create a new server VM W2k8 bearing the same name, IP etc... If at some point we can move (the VM server will be in a network isolated so far is ready) however how put us all the actions of the physical server to the new virtual machine?

Could we use Robocopy to do this? I was thinking something like...

Run a full backup with robocopy co-location W2k3 server to the new server VM that there be a drive D: created and presented by RDM (LUN). But it will not work because the server must be in an isolated network and it must have the same name, etc...

2.) this will be one of the main file server in the company, I've heard that putting the data on LUN and preseting using RDM will increase the IO? Is this real?

Somone to share some ideas on how to handle this type of migration?

You can copy the part of the register which holds all the shares from one server to the other.

Could we use Robocopy to do this? I was thinking something like...

You can synchronize the folders with robocopy.

The e/s? Of course, you will see the traffic passing records and their path to the San.

  • Update 10 gr 2 DB to 11 GR 2 while migrating to new server with the same operating system

    Hello

I need to upgrade and migrate as well a 10.2.0.5 single-instance ASM no database 11.2.0.1 on a new server. Source and target texts OS is Solaris 10 (OS version identical on SPARC 64-bit server is started), but the target server is upscale. DB size is about 1 TB. Only concern is that the storage in the existing configuration will be used with the new server as well.

Who will be the best way to do the upgrade and migrate with minimal downtime?

    Thank you

PL see your partners post - DB migration with movement of storage for the new server.

Move the 10.2.0.5 database and storage on the new server, then install 11 GR 2 on the new server and perform the upgrade according to the upgrade Doc

  • Database upgrade, migration of the platform with the DSO

    Hi all

I use R12.1.2 with 10.2.0.4, HP - PA data RISK 64-bit operating system. I want to upgrade of database 11g r2 with ASM and want to migrate to RHEL5, 64-bit OS. Please suggest me the sequence how we proceed?

    Thank you
    Krishna

    Salvation;

Thanks for the reply. According to the blog of oracle (http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/db_11gr2_11202_ebs ), HP - PA risk 64-bit is not yet certified with database 11 GR 2, so can we level database to GR 11, 2 on HP-UNIX or you recommend me to platform first migrate to Linux, so I must improve my database.

If your platform doesn't certified not its average don't make this migration. If your exsisting server not certified with 11 GR 2 so first migrate your db upgrade

  • forms of migration to 11g - problems with built-ins absolete

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but the nerves are out and I'm lost.

I tried to migrate from an old database 8i probably with his tools and forms in 11g. All the software seems fine, but when I try to run the forms I either get error 'this form was conducted using a generator of old forms", or worse - some enigmatic FRM and ORA (exception 6508) mistakes apparently connected to the lack of a procedure called in the form triggers.
Now, you'd probably say "just recompile these forms. But I can't do it - I have tons of compilation errors, for the most part from built-ins absolete or try to select the views system. This occurs when you try to recompile the libraries referenced by these forms, which is probably why I get these procedure without error.
Given that the quantity and the nature of those overwhelmed me that I tried to use Migration Wizard Forms... talk about Paris on the wrong horse. First I had to change the property of "start in" the shortcut assistants where I stored forms libraries either he kept to launch bookstores out of such forms. Then I got a bunch of files, LDP and the most important libraries without change, with no mention of any problem in the newspaper of the assistants. Needless to say that my forms always get these errors from lack of procedure.

I'm sure I can figure it out somehow correct the forms if the libraries were ok, but I can not just deal with these problems:
-What to do about system view selects in the library of procedures and triggers? The compiler treats just as unknown identifiers. I had the same problem also and it's privileges, but this time I can't identify the user whose privileges are read (actually, isn't one who is using the form at the time?) until now I noticed he's trying to use dba_users and dba_roles
-What to do to correct a library (which can have dependencies on other libraries) to be compatible or at least compiles ' able with the new constructor of forms without having to spend a year on everything?
I tried to apply changes mentioned in the journal of the assistants (like changing calls RUN_PRODUCT to RP2RRO. RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT), but he did not have a good

First of all, you are in the right forum.

database 8i probably with his tools and forms in 11g
I get tons of compilation errors, for the most part from built-ins absolete

You can look at Chapter 4 of * [Forms of e10394.pdf] Migrating from thedoc.1111of http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/ of URLs to 11 g *.

What to do about system view selects in the library of procedures and triggers? The compiler treats just as unknown identifiers. I had the same problem also and it's privileges, but this time I can't identify the user whose privileges are read (actually, isn't one who is using the form at the time?)

Since you get the error when compiling, you must have sufficient privileges for all objects that are used in the application.

More important still, if your version of forms before 6i, you cannot migrate them directly to 11 g. see Chapter 16.

    change of RUN_PRODUCT calls to RP2RRO. RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT

As you deploy these forms on the web, I suggest using builtin RUN_REPORT_OBJECT instead of RP2RRO. RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT. And to do this, you must write a very simple code.

    Hope this helps you...

  • Migration of Test Prod with diff servers

    Hello

We have a planning application 9.3 runs on the Test servers. Test configuration is three servers that are running essbase. Second short BI +, planning, etc. and third RBDMS series.

We migrate production three to another with the same configuration servers. All the necessary software has been installed; only, we need to migrate the app.

When you have different servers (boxes),

    1. is it possible to use CopyApp for planning the migration?

    2. When you use EAS copy the database feature, it will copy the data files and indexes?

    Thank you!

    Hello

It is possible to use the copyapp utility, some people have more success with it to migrate the repository planning of database applications.
Here is an example of the database migration:- migrate from 4.1 planning 11.1.3
The example is a version to a newer version, but the principal is substantially the same against the same version, but if you've never done it before and don't feel comfortable tent then maybe the road to copyapp is the best way for you.
Also on 9.3.1 there is a bug during the migration using the method I sent the link that you have clear a field in a table that is described here:- Re: 4.0.1 to 9.3.1 Planning migration question

  • Migration of domain Contoller with storage replication

    Hi all

We are migrating the domain controller. As part of the migration, we will make Source domain controller storage level replication to destination DC; then add these LUNs /datstores to the new VCENTER and register the virtual machine (domain controller) and turn on.

Host name of the server and the IP address will remain the same. However, the MACid and UUID of the virtual machine will change. As the virtual machine is domain controller must we does support this kind of migration?

    Help, please...

    Concerning

    Jean-Pierre

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • Try to migrate a virtual machine with storage vMotion

    Hello

When I try to migrate a virtual computer to another data store (using storage vmotion - change datastore option on migration Assistant) I still see this warning on the migration wizard: this virtual machine must be powered off to perform this function.

I'm completely lost, because I check the requirements to make a storage vmotion:

    1. license compliance: OK, we are authorized this feature

2 source and destination storage of data available on the host: OK

    3. no snapshots: OK

So, I do not understand why this message...

What can I do? (of course I can't turn off the virtual machine).

    Thanks in advance.

Which is my point... The message is related to the option greyed out only...

  • Migration db new host with agent 12 c

    Hello

I have a question, if we need for one of our server db migrate to another host while the SGD DB repository and SGD server remains the same, what steps to follow? No idea if someone did it.

    Thanks in advance
    Amit

    Amit,
    Amit,

Assuming you want to know how to keep track of 'EM targets after that their migration from one server to another, here's the steps:

-Migrate targets (e.g., from host A to host B)

-Deploy agent on the new server (for example, host B)

-Use 'emcli relocate' command to move the target to new server
    Ex:
    emcli relocate_targets-src_agent = hostA: 3872-dest_agent = hostB:3872 - target_name = "testdb" - target_type = oracle_database-copy_from_src

For more information on the emcli move command, see:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/EM.121/e17786/cli_verb_ref.htm#BABDAHEF
