Migration to Cisco 1000v with portgroup Vmnic (almost there!)
I am trying to automate the following steps so that I can configure networking for a host, end-to-end (using vCenter 5.1, PowerCLI 5.1 Release 2 Build 1012425 to PowerCLI 6.0 Release 2 build 3056836). The host has two network adapters physical, one of which (vmnic0) is obviously taken by vSwitch0 during initial installation. So, I need to:
(1) migrate physical vmnic1 a VDS (1000v)
(2) set the GRPE of ports uplink for vmnic1 in the "system-binding rising-vc02."
(3) turn on the VDS called "vc02-vmsc" vSwitch1 to a portgroup vmk0 management network.
(4) physical vmnic0 pass vSwitch1 a VDS, adding to the bond rising portgroup "rising-vc02 system-binding."
I can only reach 1-3. I can handle a party of 4), moving the 1000v vmnic0, but only in the portgroup of 'Unused_or_Quarantine_Uplink' and not the one I need.
Stripped of any handling error, this is the code I used (largely provided by)

The bit that will move to vmnic0 VDS service is:

I tried to repeat the code above this vmnic1 against vmnic0 objectives, but this indicates that the host is already member of the VDS.
I suspect that the answer lies in a change of migrate ESXi host physical adapters specific dvUplink port | vBombarded but I had no luck so far.

How to extract the VLAN ID of VDPortgroup on Cisco 1000v
Hello! I am trying to create a script that gets all the VDPortgroups and copy them to a Standard switch for migration purposes. Our DVS is currently a Cisco 1000v. I would like to be able to extract the VLAN ID of each VDPortgroup can I in turn put this VLAN ID on the Standard switch after its creation. I was not able to find a VLAN ID property anywhere in the VDPortgroup object (I drilled down into ExtensionData, etc with no luck).
As a solution, I have bet on the VLAN being on behalf of the VDPortgroup and using the regex to extract this numerical value out the name, store it in a variable and set the VLAN ID on the Group of ports in the Standard switch accordingly. However, I wish I didn't have to rely on the cosmetic name being 100% accurate and consistent with the current VLAN ID of all VDPortgroups we have there, which is a bit.
Is there a VLAN ID hidden somewhere I'm not find in the VDPortgroup object? Or is there a better way to do it? Any ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated!

I went through a migration of last year and found that the 1000v does not advertise this information to vCenter, unfortunately. Your best bet is to analyze the name, if available.
I know that you are not on a VMware DVS, but if set you one up, you could see the port group has a configuration VLAN (somewhere in portgroup.config.vlan.vlanid or similar). Cisco leaves it on their distributed switch, for an unknown reason.

Cisco Jabber with Cisco multi-party Shared more Licenses

I'm looking for a Solution to video conference for approximately 4000 employees. Currently the customer uses Cisco's Jabber for video calls from point to point. The main requirement is Ad - Hoc videoconferencing by any employee at any time. I looked at both meeting of Cisco and Cisco TelePresence Server server. The two solution requires more or licenses more pluralistic multi-party Personal shared. The customer won't buy a PMP license for each user. Their requirement is multimedia resources shared so that any employee can initiate an ad hoc conference.
Now the question is: can we use Cisco Jabber with multiparty licensing shared?

Yes, it is quite possible.
The only singularity is with PMP + which applied slightly differently than the head of the Orchestra/vTS. This does not seem to match your use case since you intend to buy only SMP licenses +. From version 2.0 (1) CMS, PMP + licenses - which are less expensive than SMP + - use only if: a) the space belongs to a LDAP user with a PMP + license for which they are responsible; or (b) If a user LDAP with PMP + assigned to them joins the Cisco meeting App space as an authenticated user. In all other scenarios, including ad-hoc escalation with CUCM licensed SMP + is consumed. This is different from that of head of the Orchestra/vTS, which were also able to understand the right to the user for ad-hoc calls.

First it requires license for Cisco Jabber on VCSC?

Our VCSC is version 6.1 and TMS is 13.

Yes, you will still be able to authenticate users JabberVideo locally, 'right', you won't be able to use NTLM.

In the past, moving VMs between databases or host with snapshots was deadly.
It still happens in ESX4?
ESX4 does not throw the warning, as did ESX3.5.
You can migrate a virtual machine with snapshots, you can just see a different question. You try to make a vMotion in vCenter?

Attach your vmdk on a virtual Windows machine and use robocopy.
If the two machine Windows are in the same domain, you will have no problem with permissions and attributes.

Using Sony NWZX2 with Apple. Are there others who use both this MP3 player with Apple computers?
I almost filled my Sony walkman MP3 players two years of use with my windows computers.
I was looking to buy a jukebox of Apple player to replace both of these players and have all of my library on a player.
The jukebox is no longer available, so I bought the Sony NWZ X 2, which was supposed to be compatible with Apple.
There is a database transfer tool I have, but it is a poor replacement for my old windows media player with a very limited number of functions.
I am trying to get the album artwork for more than 1000 of my cd which are now on my new drive. All player functions seem to relate to the Sony MediaGo software that is intended for windows users and it does not have anything comparable to Apple.
Does anyone know of any apps that work well with players from Sony on my iMac and macbook pro?
I have a sony phone and tablet.
Whenever I transferred music from itunes, the art and the track of the news has been included and had nothing else to do or downloaded.
I just slipped and he fell on the devices, without using the Sony software.

I had to have an iphone 4, but is unable to operate in Italy. It is supposed to be unlocked by Apple and O2, but when I try to connect with wind or Tim there is no service. What should I do?
Maybe it is locked, Apple do not unlock phones, then call O2.

Using Firefox 4 and Windows 7. Whenever I have to start Firefox from a shortcut to a Web site, what happens with the following error "there was a problem sending the command to the program". The requested site is loaded after that. without any problem.
If a shortcut is used while Firefox is already open the error will not occur.
For me, the problem was the FoxClock extension. Once I disabled it, the problem was gone.

Widely not reported, no known resolution until Apple release a new version of iTunes that affects it.

I just bought a new laptop with windows 7 and there is no Chess Titans in games. I would have never bought it if I knew that. Is it possible I can get it?
When you check the list of Windows features it is not inside?
To get there, press the windows key and type in "features " without the quotes and then click on "turn on or off windows features ". "" In the window that appears, you should games and next to it a button "+". Go ahead and click the button "+". You should see Chess titans here. If it is unchecked then go ahead and check it and click OK when you are finished. It should appear in the Games folder in the start menu and Explorer games now. You can or you have to may not restart. It should tell you if it is necessary, however.

Hello. To activate the other native components of Windows, go to start > Control Panel > programs. In "programs and features", you will see "turn Windows features. Go ahead and go to 'games '. Expand it '+' and check out the games you want. Checking the box next to 'games' will add all.

Tethered shooting works fine with Lightroom 6.4 on El Capitan.
You can then go ahead and buy Lightroom and perform the tethered shooting.
