    If this is the level of the Group of hotfixes in 10.1.2 $ORACLE_HOME on the source node then Yes you have to have the same level of patches on the target node group.

  • PB to update a partition replicated with substitution variables

    Hi all

    I have the following problem with the partition replicated using substitution variables:

    I would like to create a partition that is replicated using substitution variables: & CurrPeriod, & CurrWeek, & CurrYear. The purpose of this should be able to copy data from application SourceApp to TargetApp, by changing the variables of subst.

    The script that I created is:

    UserAdmin connection identified by password on EssbServer

    create or replace replication partition SourceApp.SourceDb
    area '& Cons_Year, & Cons_Scenario, & Cons_Version, "MP_TF_542" ' sourcearea1
    at TargetApp.TargetDb
    area '& Cons_Year, & Cons_Scenario, & Cons_Version, "PL_R450100" ' targetarea1
    mapped to targetarea1 ("' MP_TF_542" ') to ("'PL_R450100" ');

    Refresh SourceApp replicated partition. SourceDb to TargetApp. TargetDb to EssbServer all the data;

    Everything is fine. I see new data in TargetApp. Then I try to change the variable substitution and see new data (the last value of Cons_Year was FY09):

    ALTER system set variable FY10 Cons_Year;
    Refresh SourceApp replicated partition. SourceDb to TargetApp. TargetDb to EssbServer all the data;

    But when I change the value of the variable substitution - ordered that's happened, I don't see new data in TargetApp. Proxy changed the system, but did not score.

    Essbase 11.1.1.2

    Someone can help me.

    ALTER system set variable FY10 Cons_Year;
    Refresh SourceApp replicated partition. SourceDb to TargetApp. TargetDb to EssbServer all the data;

    Between these two commands insert two other commands in your MaxL script.

    modify the application of unloading system >;
    modify the application of the system of load >;

  • Create Java with Essbase applications

    Dear Experts

    I have a request for a potential customer.

    Where I think it's better to implement an application with Java or APEX, another relational database and Essbase.

    How Hyperion Planning and others.

    But not using Hyperion Planning.

    How it would integrate with Essbase?

    How can I create a Java application without losing anything of Essbase?

    Anyone already done this?

    Should what documents I read about it?

    A lot of questions and design challenges.

    Thank you for all

    For the purposes of the Apex

    -You can use custom Essbase calculation relationships

    http://Essbase.ru/archives/6273

    with XMLA PLSQL API

  • Account LCM dimension migration fails between applications

    Hi all

    We get the error message when you try to migrate the account from one application to another on LCM below dimension:

    Failure of the Hyperion Essbase operation with an error code: 1060051.

    I know he does not say much, but have you seen before? What other log files should I look?

    We are on 11.1.2.1.

    Thank you
    Mehmet

    p.s. I noticed My Oracle Support has an entry for the same error number 1060051: Planning Refresh error: "com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: xxxx (1060051)" [944970.1 ID]
    I'll see if these two are linked

    If it is not in the planning or essbase application log, then it might be easier just to rebuild the dimension and a little hard to find.

  • Problem with partition

    Hello

    I use Essbase 11.1.2.1

    I have a partition replicated between two databases.

    Some accounts are not replicated to the target

    I'm trying to find out what are the differences between each of them and I see that those who are not sent to the target, are dynamic calc with store only one child.

    Could this be the problem? I have Yes, why? Otherwise, any other ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Fanny

    Try the single children wiith the storage property "never share" marking and see if that makes a difference. You could start with one.

    It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post.  As he complains about MigrationBasis.  I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    database

    TO

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    consensus

    And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

    When I checked for the solution in the RTO: I got one of the thread:

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/2485064.PDF

    "If you return your latest data and if only your Essbase application is damaged and if none of the techniques.

    work then you can remove your essbase application and create the same planning.

    "But then you must set all the parameters of your cache and other database properties".

    Can someone tell me complete process on the solution above.

    Kind regards

    Stally.

    There are ways of diff...

    1. If you have the last backup, then you can replace total folder DB from the DB Backup folder.

    2. If you have archived backup (archive application saved with the command) and then restore this backup application.

    in above of ways you can retrieve data until the date backup took. Rest of the data we can retrieve using the Audit table... Only if the Audit is enable on the modification of the Planning application data.

    Last option is delete essbase total demand if all else fails, update from planning create enforcement action. But the application settings (hidden settings will have by default) then you need to update those if you are aware of these values)-this way, you will lose all data (hope you have all data backup, or level 0)

    See you soon!

  • Character set US7ASCII AL32UTF8 migration to Oracle Applications database

    What is the best method to get the character set migration of Oracle Applications database?

    The options available are

    (1) export and import

    (2) CSALTER

    (3) DMU

    Database - 11g

    Applications - R12

    Please suggest some tips and recommendations.

    Nordine salvation,

    I suggest you to refer the link: "How do I convert the character set for Oracle R12.1.1 running on 11.0.6 database Oracle US7ASCII' as it is very relevant to you."

    Response to your previous post would be:

    S ' stick to a plan

    -Try all of the activity on the TEST server for yourself

    -Troubleshoot and debug all the question from A - Z

    -On the successful implementation, make a backup of the Production and move the solution to PROD.

    If possible, run a lot of questions while doing the character set migration oracle applications, database because it contains the application tables.

    I accept the fact that EBS database is complicated to a database independent, but still all the features and debugging tools and troubleshooting is the same, although it is autonomous or EBS database.

    We should do if we stuck to the top in with and truncate in the application according to the CSSCAN results tables,.

    little tables when we checked in Metalink he says to avoid these tables which do not affect the database or application.

    Try in a Test Server, the above link helps you on the issue. You can find answer to some tables with loss in metalink if it's a bug, just lift a SRt solve your problem.

    What we must do if we are in important application tables, export and import will help in this issue.

    No, if we have available data with loss, then we cannot use the Import/Export and we will have to use CSALTER instead.

    is this the right method or must contact oracle support for assistance on important application tables.

    YES, I personally recommend you try and paralleling have ongoing Oracle support. So that you will have a guide from A to Z, in the case you're wrong

    Hope this helps

    Best regards

  • Migration of Essbase (from backup)

    Gurus,
    In the environment that I work, backup us Essbase daily. We have script to backup all artifacts, such as essbase.sec, essbase.bak, essbase.cfg, .otl, .csc, .rep, .rul, etc..
    We have several Essbase cubes and that we are supposed to recreate the cubes of same in another server. We do not have cubes in the new server, so we need to have the cubes of the same as we have now in our production environment. How could we do this task? You can get by LCM, but I would like to know if there are other options such as the copy, etc..
    All the files that we are under \\server\d$\Hyperion\Essbase. Thus it is possible, we can copy the file integer essbase and paste it into the target server?
    OR do we do something else?
    Guidance is much appreciated.
    Thank you

    It is probably useful to go through the Oracle for example on the migration of an application from planning using LCM, it is based on an earlier version of 11 but the concept is the same and it will give you a good idea - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/performance-management/tutorials/pln-lcm-obe-095602.html

  • Application with a decimal Point ID

    Hello

    We are in the process of migration of applications in an environment on APEX 3.01 to a new APEX 3.20 environment.

    On our environment old we had used decimals in our application ID i.e 100.1, 200.1 etc., this means we could keep all of our applications quite organized for example 100.x apps would be apps DEV, 200.x would be to TEST applications and 300.x would be PREPRODUCTION apps etc.

    When I got to install these applications in the new environment I get the following error message

    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was not successful. ORA-20001: digital invalid value 100.1 for the column ID of Application & lt; pre & gt; begin wwv_flow_api.create_flow (p_id = & amp; gt; 100.1, p_display_id = & amp; gt; 100.1, p_owner = & amp; gt;) "CS_APEX_DEV", p_name = & amp; GT; '* SSO Login', p_alias = & amp; GT; "SSO_DEV", p_page_view_logging = & amp; GT; 'YES', p_default_page_template = & amp; GT; 14915307666594361731 + wwv_flow_api.g_id_offset, p_printer_friendly_template = & amp; g

    I also get a invalid similar digital value error message when I try to manually create an application with a decimal point in the ID of the Application.

    Is this something that is no longer allowed withiin APEX or y at - it a parrameter which can be changed this will allow?

    Ian was soon

    Apex uses decimal notation to designate the translated versions of the application. I can't tell what dynamic translation of version was introduced, but it could be that you are running in. It seems you no more will be able to include a comma in your application ID.
