Migration of files from Premiere Pro?

Hello

I wonder if there is a way to easily (or easily) convert all my existing changes in Final Cut Pro and start working in Premiere Pro?

I worked in Final Cut Pro since version 1 and I have a LOT of old projects I'll be back repeatedly for revisions to the customers.

I would love to somehow move to Premiere Pro with NEW projects but, at the same time, not to redo all my editing for my OLD projects at the FCC. Can I export certain types of data from FCP and have images and assets in the same organized folders and import these data into Premiere Pro and have my changes open up there?

It would be great if there is a way to do...

Thank you!

Seth

Here is some information on the importation of Final Cut Pro in Premiere Pro projects.

I just want to know how it happened to one of our producer/Editor. It is his story. "She hung the three hard drives to 9 from FCP, has opened the program from Premiere Pro and created a new project file. Then she dragged the files, .mxf per season per show in the Premiere Pro project file. To organize additional files in labels and others per show per season, she decided to redo the project file. She highlighted the files on the window of Premiere Pro and click on delete. She then tried to repeat the move but this time, the program could not read the file type extension. One of our Publisher checked raw materials of the external hds but unfortunately the files is no longer there. Our question is how it happened because according to her, there is no prompt that it will be deleted in the external source files. Please help so that we can avoid it in the future. Hoipng for your immediate response. Thank you

First does not remove the files. The option to delete files from the hard drive only appears when you perform offline files in the first project window.

The editor is sure that she has deleted the files in the window of Premiere project and not on the hard drive itself?

Better is not not to drag but to import or to ingest via Media Browser in the first.

I'm guessing she files deleted from the hard drive.

  • Export from Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Hello

Whenever I'm ready to export my project my first Pro CC 2014 stop answer all together. I tried the short cut (command + M) or through the bar Manu. the result is the same, first Pro CC 2014 just freezes and does not respond to what it is until I force quit and relaunch allover again. I tried exporting from Premiere Pro auto, without using the Media Encoder, but the problem remains the same.

  • I can't import a SWF file into Premiere Pro

Please indicate how to import a SWF file in Premiere Pro. I tried to import as a film, but it wouldn't work.

    Hello

From Adobe Premiere Pro 7.1, you can't import FLV files directly into Adobe Premiere Pro. While the TCF work with FLV images, use Adobe Media Encoder to import FLV files and transcode the FLV files in a file in charge of type. For example, use the H.264 format.

After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder, always support the importing of FLV files.

Export of FLV file is still available in Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Media Encoder does not from Premiere Pro

I'm having issues export from Premiere Pro - I've had enough of queue through Media Encoder so I can move on to the next edition, but when I select the queue and Media Encoder opens, it does nothing - just sitting there with "not currently Encoding" rather than import the data to export.

Finally got fed up and rang Adobe (if all else fails...)

Member of the open video Support team my library folder (Go\Go to folder...\~/Library/) and then went into \Preferences\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\ and changed the folder called 6.0 to 6.0old (i.e. rename it to something else), then click queue in Premiere Pro and the project successfully opened in Media Encoder and was able to start coding.

I hope this helps someone else suffers from the same issue!

  • As prelude does not work with red images, how can I add logging information to a file in Premiere Pro

As prelude does not work with red images, how can I add logging information to a file in Premiere Pro CS6?

RED footage has a restriction on the metadata.  We are looking into what it would take to get the metadata full support in our system, but you cannot mark red footage at this time.

  • Migration of files from final cut PRO HDV

I am trying to migrate from Final Cut Pro to Windows Adobe Production first CS5.5. I have a number of video files that were originally shot with a SONY HDV camera and captured in FCP. First will not import these files and Adobe Media Encoder has the same problem with the files. It gives me an error to import file:

... . MOV could not be imported. The source file is an invalid codec. Please verify that this is a file is valid.

I have no more SONY's HDV camcorder. I still have my FCP system I try to transcode the files with it. What can I do with these files to run in first? The rest of my video files are of a Canon 7 d.

Well, I give you two options:

    1. Extracts audio PCM stereo AC3 448 kbps mono the MOV, transcode the dual HDV video and wrap it as a M2T file. It is autonomous, but the audio is recompressed (although it is still high-fidelity).
    2. Extract the HDV video to M2V file, extract the audio PCM stereo WAV file (no recompression) and then you import both in Premiere Pro. You can select both components, right click and select Merge Clip and create a new clip married, then, to hold everything together. You would have to do this for each pair of files, but the advantage is that the audio is exactly the same as the original.

Take this zip: http://www.mediafire.com/file/94zvvop8rsm9pld/hdv.zip. Extract the content - ffmbc.exe and two batch files called hdv1.bat and hdv2.bat - the folder that contains your images. Double-click the package corresponding to the desired file. hdv1.bat creates a single file (n ° 1, above), while hdv2.bat creates two files (#2 above). Batch files are going to do this for every single MOV file in the folder. It is good to have the choice, no?

NOTE: It may not work. SBDAs HDV that I already have stereo audio, while your have two mono channels. I think I represented or in the batch file, but you may need some adjustments. What I suggest is to extract these files to a fresh folder first, and one of your copy inside SBDAs and then runs a batch or another. In this way, you can make sure it works without creating gigabytes of unnecessary files.

Let me know how it goes!

  • Migrate from Premiere Pro CS6 first Installation CC Pro

I am a subscriber of creative cloud.  When initially, I downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro, I downloaded CS6.  I don't know anything about the program that I am a user of Final Cut Pro X, but I installed it so that I can start learning the software but have worked around just to find the time to start learning.  However, I would like to install the CC version but want to know the best measures to be taken to achieve this?  I downloaded CCCleaner tool to solve a different problem, but can I use to uninstall Premiere Pro CS6 and then simply download the CC version or do I have to do something else?  I had not really started using the program so I have no preferences or whatever it is that I need to keep.  Thank you.

    Hi fergusk,

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forum! You don't need to uninstall all of the CS6 applications, they will work side by side with CC applications. If you would rather uninstall them to save hard disk space, that's OK too. You can keep still CS6, even though, as there is no equivalent CC. So anyway you want is OK. There is no need in this case the application of the cleaner. Just use the uninstall programs located in each application folder.

    Thank you

  • What is the best option for merge prel seven projects - using an intermediate file. using Premiere Pro or a Clipboard Extender?

I did no editing for a few years and suddenly received (for me), a difficult task. I have now just finished editing a wedding shot with 4 video cameras (I took a few videos and other formats have been those who shot at random), in the first 14 elements. The formats of the clips are also different. Due to the fact that there was overlap so many scenes and the complexity of the task, I have divided marriage in 7 scenes, each is a file/project prel e.g. married dress, ceremony, etc. I didn't know at that time that it might be difficult to merge the projects. The final step is to merge these files so that I can make both BD and DVD.

I initially purchased Premiere Pro for editing, using Pinnacle for years, but I was struggling too much with the Pro and the different formats of the clips, add music, overlapping, etc. Then I bought elements and was very uncomfortable with the Expert mode. I think that I am now ready to start using Pro.

The specs of my computer are:

OS: Windows Pro 64-bit 10. current version: 10.0.10586.306

    gigahertz Intel Core i5-2400 3,10; RAM: 8, 00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3. 64 bit

    First Elements 14.0.64 Version
First Pro CC 2015 Version 9.0.0

Here are a few clips (from MediaInfo) specifications (some of them might have been converted as they were given only to me some time after the wedding):

    1. Codec: AVC; Variable bit rate; Bit rate 16.4 Mbps; 1920 x 1080i. Frame rate: 25 fps; Sound: AC - 3; Bitrate: 256 Kbps
    2. Codec: H.263; Constant bit rate; Bit rate 36.6 Mbps; 1920 x 1080; Frame rate: 25 fps; Sound: AAC; Flow rate: 192 Kbps
    3. Codec: AVC; Variable bit rate; Bit rate: 24 Mbps; 1920 x 1080i. Frame rate: 25 fps; Sound: AAC; Bitrate 96 Kbps
    4. Codec: MPEG video;? Variable or Constant; Bit rate 25 Mbps; 1440 x 1080i. Frame rate: 25 fps

Sound: MPEG Audio AC-3; Bit rate: 384 Kbps

I tried to read as many threads as possible in this regard, but couldn't find much on the internet and most son/tutorials are quite old and refer to previous versions of Premiere Elements. I tried to merge it with Premiere Pro, after reading this (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/importing-sequences-clip-lists-libraries.html; ( http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/premiere/pro/import/), but I've struggled, as in the two references, it was either too little info or the guideline was not clear to me.

I also saw wires on clipboard Extender (ClipMate and Spartan Lite) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1148100 I downloaded Spartan Lite, but that seemed pretty confusing.

I'm very uncomfortable to use intermediate files (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/875797?tstart=0) that I have enough space on my drive hard, but made a loose quality? On the other hand, I suppose it might be good for me to start using Premiere Pro now.

    What is the current consensus?

Then I have another question and I don't know if I need to open a new thread for this. As I have shown above, the clips have all different characteristics and some files prel are save as 1440 x 1080 (where the scene starts with a clip of nr 4, others like 1920 x 1080) I guess I should have converted clips all to the same specification before editing, but I did not. There was so much work involved in this process that I can't think to change to a format and replace them current clips, etc. With the rendering, the different specifications will be a problem?

One last question - I guess I just need to go to the BD and DVD specifications, or should I also realize the whole project in a format without loss of keep for possible future use?

Another option is to use Cineform, who is a Visual lossless codec and produces smaller files means then Lagarith.

    Download Gopro Studio and install.

This will give you the codec.

  • How to go from Premiere Pro to the first Clip

Is it possible to do a reverse flow of starting a project in Adobe Premiere Pro and exporting an XML to a sequence and related media in the first Clip?

    Hey Amir,

Right now it is not really a workflow back in place. You can export your Premiere Pro editing and save on creative cloud. From there, you can import the export sequence in Clip via 'my files '.

I hope that this workflow will help you.
