Migration of SQL 2012 caused high compilations per second

Only, we migrated to SQL 2008 R2 SQL 2012 and better hardware.  We have not changed any code; but the compilations/went from ~ 30 to 600 to 800.  CPU is really good.  The performance is good. Signal waits for cent get up every now and then until 34 (previously it was always below 25%) and the procedure cache hit ratio goes down sometimes to 88% (previously it was always greater than 95%).  We are really concerned about the compilations per second.  Can someone give an idea of why this is happening?

This issue is beyond the scope of this site and must be placed on Technet or MSDN

    Hello

first of all, I have good malware scanner and then pull up to your CMD prompt and run in ADMINISTRATOR mode... scan files

so it will look like this on the fast line

    sfc/scannow

If it detects the wrong files it will try and fix...

Once that is done and all seems good... Run windows update... and make sure that all THE DRIVERS are updated... There was an update in last 6-8 wks is hitting all the settings, but MS does not move fast on this...

Make sure you restart after every high driver you do as she needs... otherwise nothing will change... go read the forums for malware on bleeping computer dot com and tech guy... you will see a lot of us dealing with this and you will see bugs... these forums are free

  • SQL 2012 still on the use of affinity rules

    Hey guys,.

I use SQL 2012 alwaya time on in a virtual, but so far, it is not configured as best practices and environment I wanted to change that.

At the moment I have no DRS rules in place so it can happen that two virtual machines running on the same host and it's something I want to avoid.

However, my big problem is that I only got a SQL license for two hypervisors and best practices talked about four hosts who are needed to achieve my goal.

Here is what I intend to implement:

-Affinity rule machine virtual-VM to separate two virtual machines

-Affinity VM host rule which VM1 MUST run on ESX1

-Affinity VM host rule that VM2 MUST run on ESX2

This configuration is a good idea or could / should I do something different?

What I found that all the features how for example the evacuation and HA should still work?

There are many more ESX servers in this group and they will be used in the case of an outtage, right?

Also there is a dev environment that looks the same. I could include the hosts in the same VM-Host affinity rules or should I create new ones?

BTW. I am using vCenter and ESX 5.5.0.

    Thank you very much!

    See you soon

    Nicolai

Affinity rules those you intend to sense. These rules will not be those virtual machines to be on the same host most of the time.

    Note:

1 rule of VM host is configured as "SHOULD", in extreme cases, DRS can break these rules. However, in the next invocation of DRS, DRS will try to resolve the violations.

    2. Note that: when you keep either the host in maintenance (ESX1 or ESX2) mode, you must manually migrate the VM to another host due to the virtual-VM anti rule machine affinity. DRS even in full auto mode, VM will not be migrated automatically. This will apply only if there are only 2 host in the cluster.

    3. Yes, HA should well with that: however HA is not aware of the rules 'EXPECTED' and in the case of host failure it can not respect 'SHOULD' rule.

4 rule anti-affinite VM - VM can be sensitized HA using the advanced option. Let me know if you want to help with that.

    5. Yes, failure of other hosts in the cluster will be used but please updated on impact due to rules & licenses.

    6. "There is also an environment-dev which looks the same." I did not follow what exactly you mean here:

7 migration threshold settings DRS is also important.

8 DRS gives priority to the prevention of violations of anti-affinity rules machine virtual-VM that violations of rules of affinity. (it's just for your info.)

    Nevertheless,.

    1. If ESX1 falls down or affinity rule VM host that VM1 MUST run on ESX1 gets violated: VM1 can be migrated to other hosts in the cluster. As you have no licenses (more than 2) SQL, how it would be dealt with (I'm not very updated on the SQL licenses)

2 point above applies to the second rule of VM HOST as well.

See compilation of PL/SQL units for running Native in the Doc of the PL/SQL language

You can usually speed up the units of PL/SQL compile native code (code system processor-dependent), which is stored in the SYSTEM tablespace.

You can compile natively any PL/SQL for any unit, including those providing the database Oracle.

The program compiled natively units work in all environments of servers, including the configuration of shared server (formerly called "multi-threaded server") and Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle RAC).
    >

And this from the section How PL/SQL Native Compilation Works
    >
How does the Native Compilation of PL/SQL
Without native compilation, statements from PL/SQL in a PL/SQL unit are compiled into an intermediate form, the system code, which is stored in the catalog and interpreted at run time.

With native compilation of PL/SQL, PL/SQL instructions in a PL/SQL unit are compiled into native code and stored in the catalog. Native code should not be interpreted at the time of execution, so that it runs faster.

Because the native compilation applies only to the PL/SQL statements, a unit of PL/SQL that uses only SQL statements may not work faster when it is compiled into native mode, but it works at least as fast as the interpreted code. The compiled code and the interpreted code are the same library calls, their action is the same.

  • Clean uninstall SQL 2012

    Hi team,

A few days ago I tried to uninstall SQL 2012 from my laptop that I used it no more. Even after uninstalling SQL 2012, there were some components SQL in "Programs and features" and a folder named SQL in C drive

I deleted the SQL of the C drive folder and some SQL (program and features) of my system components.

Now, there are some programs are still there in the Control Panel - programs and features.

1 Microsoft Visual Studio pre conditions English

2 Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Application time 3.0 design

3 Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for running the x 86 Application 3.0

I'm afraid that if I uninstall these my mobile functionality could be hampered.

Can I uninstall the programs mentioned above?

    Hello

Some applications like some versions of Microsoft Office applications, InfoPath and others use Visual Studio for Applications.

Visual Studio Prerequisites is used to deploy the components referenced by applications.

I recommend you don't uninstall them. They are very small and they are not known to create problems of performance or security problems.

    I hope this helps.

  • That means "a high rate of 13 split I/O per second?

I have generated a system health report and he gave me this warning: "the high rate of 13 split I/O per second has been detected. This represents 54% of the total I/O process. Look at the size of the I/O process compared to the size of the disc format and defragment or reformat the disks with a high I/O split. »

He also gave me: "investigate why 22% (5 416) events were lost during data collection. Settings for maximum buffers for Windows event trace (ETW, Event Tracing for Windows) and the size of the buffer is perhaps not optimal depending on which data sets are collected. »

And yet the drive check to see all the "success." Certainly, gravity is only a 'warning', but what is the average thing split IO? This means reformat my hard drive of the system? I've defragmented yesterday evening and have a lot of space on the disk.

This means my CPU or motherboard goes wrong? Lately, when loading of ABIT EQ, the alert sounds the HyperTransport, until I have click on default (to reset the range, which has the characters corrupt in there - but not for the current actual rate of HyperTransport). I apply, and the beep goes away; but I find myself having to keep doing. Possibly associated with (and the only other thing I'm really proven recently, as I had posted in another section of the forum), is every time I watch a video online (YouTube, etc.) or a DVD, if I leave the mouse alone for a minute or more, the screen becomes the password | Quick screen and I have to re-enter the password (unless I catch it and move the mouse before the end). In the Saver screen and re - apply '(none)' fixed this - but I have to do after never watched video.

Any ideas on what could be going on here?

    Hi EyeAmSMF,

Split IO/sec indicates the rate at which the disk I/o requests were divided into several applications. A split i/o may result from demand for data in a format that is too large to fit into a single i/o or that the disk is fragmented on single disk systems.

Access the link below to find more information about the error of e/s/s Split.

However, it seems that the problem is not persists after reinstalling Windows Vista.

  • Migration from SQL Server to Oracle during 11.1.2.4 upgrade

    Hi all

To further expand on the title, wanted to check if it is possible to migrate from SQL Server to Oracle, while improving 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.4 on brand-new material. There is a change in all the components (s/w, h/w, RDBMS) so I wanted to run this generic statement by the forum to see what the experts think.

Where in the equation can count us on LCM?

I know that John Goodwin had already answered a few questions on the same subject for previous versions, but as 11.1.2.4 is a different game... I would be grateful if someone could share their thoughts.

    Thank you!

If you are installed on hardware costs and migration then it should be independent of the RDBMS. Not to say there is no problems with passing of 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.4 (if you use planning, for example, business rules-> Calc Manager) but they certainly should not be linked to the fact you've changed the underlying database.

  • Link SQL 2012 or 2016 with a form in Dreamweaver

I am a novice in Dreamweaver.

Can you help me understand the process of linking a form in Dreamweaver to table SQL 2012?

    Books or references?

    Thank you very much

    Steve

You do not link to a sql database, you must use the code side server by using one of the languages on the server side.

There are a number of languages on the server with the more common in PHP and c#, which can be used with Microsoft sql databases side. Unfortunately, these are certainly not for a novice. A quick Amazon or similar search will show a number of books available for both.

As you arise the question well I would not recommend trying to learn PHP or c# until you have a good knowledge of html and css, (with possibly javascript).

  • Migrate from SQL Developer to another machine with all parameters

Is there a documented way to migrate from SQL Developer to another machine? I want that all my preferences (format sql, shortcuts etc.) history of sql, user, etc. connections reports are available on the new machine.

I know how to export/import connections. But for the rest, the pointers appreciated. I'm moving from a Win 7 32 bit to Win 7 64-bit machine. SQL Dev version is 4.0.2.15.

    Thank you

    Manish

Move your user defined reports in folders. You can save each of them with a single click in this way - to the folder level.

We have a permanent application in the JDev team to build in the IDE, the ability to export/import settings.

You can retrieve the directory systemX.X.X.X on the application data directory and must have almost everything.
