  I bought a HP Mini 210-2070NR at Staples and wanted to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB.

  Manual says that Windows 7 Starter only supports 1 G of RAM so I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium to try to support 2G of RAM.

  Went to Crucial site, put in the computer model, classified in 2G of RAM DDR3 10600 S, installed and computer won't start with 2 G of RAM in it.

  Deletion of 2G, inserted original 1 G to start the computer to the top.

  I've updated the BIOS with the latest version on the HP website.

  Someone can help me to find a solution to this, or is this netbook on only a function with 1 G of RAM?

  You can upgrade to 2 GB of memory, but at the moment, not all DDR3 memory is accepted by the new Intel N455 processor... You will need to order it from HP part Surfer... Here is the link for the same thing... http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=615863-001

  Yes, I tried to enter this part of the page, but the links everyone to bike to the front page!    I said something on this subject earlier today.   Now I just get an error HTTP 500 Internal Server Error when I click on the link that indicates the recovery media for XP.  (Sorry, is XP Home edition - too many computers!)

  I don't think it works anyway, as I was expecting to have a disk image or a DVD of recovery with the drivers and all.   My other HPs have a recovery partition, the Mini does not.

  Hi all, I tried to search for the problem following without success so I would be very grateful if someone could help and point me in the right direction:

  I forgot to mention also that I'm running with 2 x 2 GB of Ram and no software or additional material has been added before attempting the upgrade. The medium I use to upgrade is that a full version recently bought 32-bit Vista Ultimate (which also includes a 64-bit in the box version, too).

  I was in contact with Microsoft Support these days and they told me that my hard drive seems to be defective as the reason for the failure of the upgrade. Infact last week with Microsoft on the phone did us try a clean install, but that just lead to me having to give up the clean installs and rescue my laptop back to original XP MCE... flipping hell!

  I have received contradictory information concerning the possibility of upgrade from 1 to 2 GB memory. No one knows for sure if she will definitely work or be a waste of money to try.   I was looking and looking, but I can't find any folder called "Virtual Machines" to play. Any help would be great. I use OS X Tiger on my Intel iMac.

  Well first of all the .localized extension is hidden by default and the other would not normally see in Finder even if in a Terminal, we would.  Second, the .localized extension does not exist on the virtual computers folder under Tiger IIRC.

  Virtual machines created in native mode in Fusion have the extension .vmwarevm (hidden by default) on the folder the files that make up the Virtual Machine are stored and this makes a lot of Document so search in Spotlight vmwarevm is a way to find the Virtual Machine package.

  Another way to search the hard drive must use the find command in a Terminal looking for either *.vmwarevm or *.vmx and the latter is especially if you have Virtual Machines that are not in a Package.  Terminal using the command would be as follows.

  sudo find /-name *.vmwarevm

  Or

  sudo find /-name *.vmx

  This type of search can take a while a since it searches the entire hard drive from the root of the drive.

  If you do not have a virtual computers folder in the Documents folder, you could have a virtual Boot Camp Machine partition and that is located in the following location.

  "/Users/$ the specified item was not found./Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp."

I updated my BIOS for HP f24 (HP.com said this is the most recent). But when I put it in the 2 GB of RAM, the laptop does not work (I think the cooler works). Someone help me please. Thank you!

  Why should you start the DB with upgrade option because he was running with the same version in old House as well?

  PSU patches usually do not require the database to be opened in UPGRADE mode. The obvious explanation is that the source database is not 11.2.0.2 but something lower.
