• Hello, I am a beginner and I would like to know how do to save we will say a vocal track, without saving the rest of the music on it?

  I imported several wav tracks in a project at the hearing. Now, I'm recording a vocal track directly in the program, but it also saves all of the music on this track... What I am doing wrong?

  I get this message that the soundtrack is "missing because it has been moved or deleted from the device", but this is and I bought the track a second time to be sure. Ugh. I just installed and spin 2.0.3. I also deleted from my phone and iPad and reinstalled and the issue remains the same on both devices. I can choose only the 10 titles provided by Adobe. It is personal and non-commercial, and I want a specific song for sentimental reasons. Help, please?

  Are you still facing this problem? Please, try to update your application and let me know. If the song is on your device through a cloud (Apple music, iCloud etc.) service then it will not show in the first Clip. If you have in iTunes locally on your device, it should work!

  I keep getting errors during a new playlist, saying "file not found".      So I tried the recommended - diagnostic tests that shows "I-tune helper does not ' is the two partners?   How can I find the missing music and recover my account?

  I don't think the two are connected. I'm really not sure what the role of iTunes Helper, but a proposal that's what launches iTunes when you connect your devices, if you have this option enabled.

  The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the reader, he feeds has been a change to the drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

  Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Because of a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say no twice!) Look under the Summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music directory in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

  In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. • WMP 12 is distotred with muted vocals on some songs

  I got this new PC desktop (Windows 8.1) for about eight months, but the WMP 12 has never worked properly, with the voice of muted on some files. I imported my music library of my old XP Pc and have added more CD to the collection. Initially, I thought that I had a problem of speaker, but after changing the speaker systems three times the vocals on some tracks muted persists, as well on the new and the old library files. I've updated from Windows 10, but the problem remains

  In the "good old day" of Windows XP, I would have just uninstalled and reinstalled the player, but it is not currently possible.

  Was in a good two and eight, may not resume the PC because I use it everyday for my small business, and the last time that I did, PC World lost for three months. So I decided to see if a new sound card would make the case and try and fix it myself.

  Go to Device Manager to find out which card is currently used and found an update drivers option.  Updated and installed the drivers, rebooted the PC and the thing now sings like a Songbird in the spring.

  I am so impressed to bits, and it does not cost a penny.

  not for lack of Windows, Chinese just poor manufacture.

  Steve is on the spot if you want a great harmony effect, but if you want a 'quick and dirty' novelty effect, have a play with chorus/Modulation/effects.  There are a bunch of presets, but 'Rich Chorus' could be a good starting point.  If you want to go further, create a multitrack Session and put the same track twice... but move a version every so slightly out of sync with each other before adding the chorus effect at a time.   You can still play with things in pan each track slightly in opposite directions.

  As I say, not exactly a true harmony... but it can be the novelty that you want.

• Why a few recorded tracks "empty" when I opened the Garageband projects on another machine?

  I have just updated my laptop to be able to run the same version of GarageBand on my iMac and MacBook (OS X El Capitan and GarageBand v.6.0.5) and work on projects of GB on what that machine is available.

  I just tried to open a few GB on my MacBook projects (both were created on my iMac) and the recorded vocal tracks are "empty", as below.  The track from the top (purple) is any wav. file and the blue trace below is the vocal track, although it says "file not found".

  

  I copied the root folder where I save all my records in GB on my iMac to Dropbox so I could open projects GB on my laptop, so all audio files must be in the same place.  Or I make a stupid mistake?  It's really quite likely, but any help is very welcome!

  The problem could be the DropBox synchronization. DropBox is ideal for simple documents, but your GarageBand projects are files with databases and multimedia files inside. Synchronization can break the connection between the media files and internal databases.

  If you want to transfer projects with Dropbox, it is safest to compress the projects and move to archive compressed to dropbox.

  But see, if the media are still inside the Garageband project. Perhaps the download was not complete.

  • CTRL-click the .band file and select "Show Package Contents".
  • In the Finder window that opens, select the "Media" folder
  • Copy the audio files in this folder to a folder on your desktop.
  • Try to identify the missing audio file.  If you can find it, drag it to the track where it is absent.

• I want to slow down a track so I can lower the ground...

  Hello. I need to sing vocals on a song (mp3) files together in a register that is much too high for me. It may actually work if my voice is recorded more slowly and then I have the speed to increase the height of the song. Can anyone suggest how I might do this?

  I assumed I should slow down the song my vocals, then speed it up and tried to simply change the tempo (BPM), but the original mp3 music seems to play at the same speed.

  How can I slow down music (lowering of the height) so that I can sing, then bring back to his tempo? Or is there a better way, excluding surgery? :-)

  What version of GarageBand do you use?

  I'll try to use vocal processors to increase the height of the voice instead of slow down and accelerate again.

  In GarageBand 11 vocal processors are available in the control panel for the vocal track: you can be US predefined height offsets or use the custom setting.  Amy you need to change the formants so to make it sound natural.

  Hello.  I am trying to record a song which I think is called a "vocal scratch"-a song that is removed after that you go to save your real voice.  On my mixer, I had voices in a single entry and guitar in another, but Adobe Audition wanted to save them both on the same track.  Is it possible to separate the entries on tracks separated with adobe audition?  Thank you.

  According to Steve, you should just tell each track in Audition which input channel to use.  For sessions with a stereo master, it will tend to use stereo input sources, but you can easily change that by changing the input source for each track:

  

• How to close a gap with the silence, the beginning of a track, Multi track mode?

  Hey everybody!

  I have 2 tracks in multi-track mode... one is music and the other is singing. The music begins at the beginning and lasts 3 minutes. The song does not start until 10 seconds in music. I need to insert the silence at the beginning of the voice, because I send both a producer and I want the line slopes upward from the beginning. Otherwise, they will need to align my singing.

  I would just align the vocal track slide the amount appropriate and right mouse and bounce this track down to another track and then click send this one she would have that 'silence' incorporated in the beginning.

• Extract audio tracks from a specialized CD

  I'm quite new to Adobe A / V applications used Sony Sound Forge and Vegas for many years. I am now a monthly subscriber to creative cloud and think it might be a good idea to learn the hearing, first, etc. since I use also Acrobat, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.

  My audio workflow is probably very different from more than I work part-time in a church and treat a certain number of CDs that contain always securities division (instruments left, right voices) and usually a demonstration track and a single stereo instrument track. The instrument split track and stereo song versions contains several tracks in their breast for practical purposes. When I use the command «Extract audio CDs...» "I usually select all the tracks but would like to have all of these tracks included in a file .wav with markers inserted at each track. Is it possible?

  The only way that I was able to rebuild the multitrack files after extracking in hearing one song must open each track in Audition, and then create a multitrack and total session, each song together on one line to single track. It's a lot of time, especially when some of the CDs have several songs and can contain individual tracks of 70-90 (divisions).

  Another thing that I have not been able to find a way to do is to take a split track that is contained in a stereo track audition multitrack session and create two mono tracks - one containing the instruments and the other containing the voice. Our conductor will sometimes want to eliminate parts of the vocal tracks and use a soloist instead and have both tracks as separate mono tracks makes it easier, even if I know that I can open the piece in the Waveform Editor and have access to the track either left or right separately.

  I also looking for a course manual or online for learning many of the Adobe products. Any suggestions?

  Hi David,

  While it is not (yet) an option to extract a CD in a single file (I've marked the feature request in our database for review and the definition of priorities), you can more easily add separate files using the file > Open Append menu command.

  Then, use the command Edit > extract channels to Mono files to break the l/r channels in separate files.  You can insert in a new multitrack session and your instrumentation can be mixed separately of the voice.

• Takes are silent when copied and pasted into the new track

  After recording several takes of a vocal part and a model gliding around how I like it, I decided to dub the voices and use another part of the (unused) takes.

  I created a new title in doubles (CMD - D) and pasted the vocal track (including), but the new double track is silent.  I can see the track and everything going out there and tried to remove plugins, copy and paste in different ways, but the track and just stay silent.  I can see them all here in the new track, and all that I can see, they should be heard.

  I tried this search anywhere online and cannot find any mention of this problem anywhere.  Is this just a bug?  I forgot something?

  What version of logic you use.

  You can record a voice on a desktop product like Adobe Audition or Audacity and save it in your iTunes (iOS) or your music files (Android). Once it is synced with your mobile device, you can bring this soundtrack in as you would a music soundtrack.
