missing audio drivers.
I had to install a new hard drive because of a bad virus. I reinstalled windows xp service pack 3 but now seem to be missing audio drivers. I can't play any cd or dvd or any video of music stored on my pc etc. DELL INSPIRON 9400.
Help any one please, I'm not a magician to pc.
If you have reinstalled, you may have a few other drivers too (such as video).
In Dell's Support page, you can drill down, you're article Inspiron 4000 and find the drivers here:
http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/DriversList.aspx?c=us&CS=19&l=en&s=DHS&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_CEL_4000&OS=WW1&OSL=en&CATID=&impid=
I'm not sure which one you need for your system, so if you still cannot understand this, do this and maybe we can see what kind of audio device your system has:
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
Msinfo32
Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.
For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.
For information about the audio drivers, expand components, click Sound Device, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.
There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

Satellite A30 - how to download audio drivers?
I have a Toshiba Satellite A30 under XP, suddenly I have no sound! I went into device manager who told me that the drivers for MAC are missing. I have no discs and machine has been preloaded with all the software that I can't find on the net.
How audio drivers can be recharged so that sound can return?
Thanks for your suggestions.

You can download all the drivers of Toshiba's official website:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversBut to look for in * Archives * because he old laptop s model.
Download and install the audio driver, then everything should work again properly.

HP Envy: My beats missing Audio Panel Win10
One minute of sound works, according to think that my computer updates windows 10 and rebooted. turns without audio ad Np beats Panel. I got the audio drivers for the work but not yet control panel. I have havnt been able to find an answer that will work for my configuration. Someone has an answer that they tell me so well? I miss my beats Control Panel lol.
Uninstall the driver audio Realtek or IDT programs and features. TURN IT BACK ON.
Wait 30 minutes for 10 windows to download and install your driver audio beats. Windows Update should do (I did for me every time even though I didn't).
TURN IT BACK ON.
If you still have no audio and then right click on the audio icon and select the audio problems.
If you still haven't beat Panel then check if you have a device realtek audio, if yes, then go to the realtek site, download driver high definition audio and install. RESET.

Satellite A200 PSAE6E: Impossible to install the audio drivers after installing Win XP realtek
Hello...
Recently, I repartitioned my laptop HD to install XP and kubuntu (it came with vista)... However, I was not able to install audio drivers for its audio devices...
The laptop is a toshiba Satellite A200-PSAE6E and everest indicates the following audio controllers:
ATI hd 2xxx hdmi @ ati radeon hd 2600 - controller high definition audio
Realtek alc268 @ intel 82801hbm ich8m - audio controller high definitionFirst I tried to download the audio drivers high definition realtek web site (32-bit version of windows xp). I tried to run the installation, manually navigating to WDM file during the installation of the pilot and navigation manually the folders where the drivers have been copied during the installation under c:\windows\system32\... all to nothing done...
Then I tried to download drivers toshiba official of the support web site of europe from toshiba for the realtek chip... I've lived the same behavior (both when you run the Setup program and install manually force pilots)
Then I tried to download the drivers for ATI HDMI audio device from realtek website... with the same results...
Windows tells me that it was impossible to find a driver in the any of the archives...
The only thing that could be the culprit because as far as I can tell, is that I installed service pack 3 RC2...
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
TasosP.S. I've tried the two automatic installation through specification of a folder and choose the options "I will manually choose a driver from the list" in the hardware installation wizard... the result is always the same... Note that the audio works perfectly under ubuntu...
P.S.2 IMPORTANT! I recently discovered that toshiba offers bios versions for the A200 PSAE6E depending on if it is equipped with windows xp or vista...
This refers to which the operating system has been installed when the system was purchased, or the operating system that is currently used? Can I upgrade the Bios of my laptop with the XP version or this break from things?
Hello
Regarding the sound issue.
A lot of people already asked for it here on the forum and my knowledge the driver sound doesn't work because that some Member States the fixes and patches are missing.Please check this thread:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums//thread.jspa?MessageID=113124You will need to install KB888111 and KB835221 hotfix
With regard to the BIOS;
Yes, some series of laptops needs a version of XP BIOS if you want to install and use the XP on the laptop. AFAIK the A200 is one of these series of laptops.Good bye

compaqpresario F739AU... audio drivers
I reinstalled windows XP Professional on my laptop, to find that the audio is missing. Windows media player cannot be used because of the message 'no audio devices installed. No solution by local experts still (who reinstalled XP Prof, they also told me that there is a problem with HP laptops!)
Do NOT buy any book that local experts again.
That local experts do not know whattheir do.
To install the audio driver, you must install MS - first SAU.
MS - UAA (required to reboot before the Audio drivers and modem), here
Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 drivers
Pilot modded by money here
Unzip it to a folder... Use the device, right click "Audio Device on HD" Manager, choose Update driver,
Not to communicate,
Install from a list or specific location,
Select don't search, I will choose the driver to install.
For the hardware Type select 'show all devices '.
Remove control "Show compatible hardware" and click on 'disk '.
Next... Navigate to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.

My solution for No Audio - drivers Conexant and Windows 7 x 64
My son and I have the laptop L2000 comes with 32 bit XP and used the audio Conexant chipset. I had been using a SB Audigy PCMCIA card so I don't know when the Audio is really off. However, he noticed when I upgraded his PC. I went through different forums looking for 64-bit Windows 7 for Conexant audio drivers but nothing helped. Microsoft and Conexant both said that HP should provide the drivers. By the way HP, the Conexant site says that they provide no drivers, although they make the chipsets 'at the request of the OEM." Another post said that HP will not have to provide these drivers for Windows 7. The HP solution for my model and Windows 7 has been the "HP Software Advisor" who was 67 MB and totally unnecessary. It seems that it is a very common problem. In any case, here's what you do:
First of all, you need 2 files that come quite ironically HP, they are SP35558.exe and SP35558.cva they contain drivers for Vista x 64 Conexant. (Later, I found the 32-bit drivers and the procedure should be very similar, except that the files are SP34789.exe and SP34789.cva). Type the following command in your browser address bar ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/ to half way down you will find the subdirectory with these files. Just right click on them and save it on your desktop.
Double-click on SP35558.cva and tell Windows to use Notepad to open it. Scroll to halfway down to "[Operating Systems]" and after 'WV64UL = OEM' insert:
W764HB = OEM
W764HP = OEM
W764PR = OEM
W764UL = OEM(For systems 32-bit using W732HB = OEM, etc.).
I then went up to about 10 lines "[system information]" and added
SysId3 = 0 x 3091
SysName3 = HP Pavilion ze2000 series
SysId4 = 0 x 3096
SysName4 = Compaq presario M2000 series
SysId5 = 0 x 3097
SysName5 = series Compaq Presario M2000
SysId6 = 0 x 3097
SysName6 = series HP Special Edition L2000
SysId7 = 0 x 3093
SysName7 = series Compaq Presario M2000
SysId8 = 0 x 3093
SysName8 = series HP Special Edition L2000I got this information from another cva file on my PC to C; / / swsetup, this is the directory where HP updates by default.
After modding the cva file, I taped C; / swsetup/sp35558 /.
Then, I run the SP35558.exe file. He failed the first time, I missed a line in my cva file. However, I then manually installed the Conexant drivers as follows and voila I had sound, beautiful crisp clear sound.
"" In the Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under the heading 'Other' and choose 'update driver' then ' Browse your PC "and"choose from a list. Select "Audio, audio and game controllers", and then Conexant 'drive '. Navigate to C:/swsetup/sp35558/and open "cp6308Ba.inf" (don't forget 64-bit). Now click 'OK' and ignore all the warnings on the incompatibility, WHQL, etc.. Give her lots of time, you might think, you are in a loop, but you're not. Congratulations, you've completed.
I thought that to recompile my answer and then mark this thread as resolved since it was not a post about a problem, but rather how I solved a very common problem that can be beneficial to others.

The use of the CAL file is to streamline the installation of the driver and that's kind of cool if it works. If you can't find it, you don't succeed the first time, or you don't want to not bother with modding anything, don't worry, the installation manual will work for sure.
Run sp35558.exe to extract all and let write off. Then go to Device Manager and update driver manually as follows:
In Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under the heading "Other" and choose "update driver" and then "Browse PC" and "choose from a list. Select ' Audio, audio and game controllers', then 'Conexant', then 'drive '.
I hope this helps.

KB2887069 Windows update fails to install, even with the audio drivers and uninstalled AV
KB2887069 Windows update fails to install, even with the audio drivers and uninstalled AV.
Background: I am setting up a pavilion of 500-164 equipped with OEM specs, specifically:
-AMD/Radeon APU
-Windows 8 6.2.9200
-See sysinfo below for more details
The PC brought to the specifications of the plant, with all Windows updates applied with the exception of KB2887069, which breaks down at the update. With the exception of troubleshooting the failure of the update, none of the changes have been made. The Windows KB2887069 update fails to install as well through the automated process when tried manually via a direct download.
Additional troubleshooting measures to date include:
-Uninstall the software OEM AV (Norton), then by restarting.
-Temporarily disable all the features of Windows Defender.
-Temporarily uninstall the audio driver (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) OEM.
-Realization of an analysis of the SFC system (with no error found).
Results: The Windows Update full KB2887069 with a failed State and produced the following results.

Equium L40-10 X - audio drivers do not work on Windows XP
I recently reinstalled XP on my equium L40-10 x. Unfortunately, the audio drivers from the Toshiba support site does not work for me - are there other drivers that are known to work?
I didn't load the available disks and need something on the net - link?Thank you.
Hi cecilrosa,
I n t have Equium L40 but I'm pretty sure that the audio drivers are working properly. The point is that you need to first install Service Pack 3 before you can install the audio driver.
So to remove the current sound driver and install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP. After that, you can try reinstalling the audio driver.

Audio drivers for Vista 64 bit for my Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
Hello
I'm looking for audio drivers for the PSPA4E. The reason that I updated to VISTA 64-bit. and I can only find the 32-bit driver on the Toshiba site.
Thank you very much for reading this.
Please don't be crazy on me, but why put just PSPA4E as description of the laptop model?
If you see the Toshiba download page this info can be useful right on step 4 to choose the right laptop model.In any way, if you can't find it on the support page of Toshiba which means your laptop model is not supported for 64-bit operating system. Identify the sound card and try to find it on the manufacturers support page.

Where to find the audio drivers for HP550?
I got a new hp550 and I put on my Windows XP, but I have no audio drivers for it. Where to download?
The button 'Support & drivers' at the top of this page, you will reach your drivers > > > ICI
You must first install Intel Chipset and reboot before other drivers. For audio, install the Microsoft UAA driver and restart the computer before the Audio driver... together, both appear on the page.

What model of laptop do you have?
