  When you choose your part number do not forget, you use PSAANC-VA505C number (check also on the laptop label in the lower corner of your laptop).

  Now, back to the blue screen. As far as I know for this model of laptop is not necessary to install the S - ATA Raid Controller at the beginning of the procedure of the facilities.   How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

  There is no Vista free download legal available.

  Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

  Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

Checked PC Device Manager and noticed that I need to download & install a high definition Buss Audio Audio driver and a video controller (VGA Compatible).

  You need visit Toshiba support and download the drivers that you need for Windows XP for your laptop model specific. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer of the system (or manufacturer) to write drivers for their products for different operating systems - not Microsoft.

  The fact is that DON T need all the drivers for the CD/DVD drive. The operating system uses Microsoft own driver!
  If you want to burn media, you must install a burning like Nero for example software!

  I think that the installation of the Hotkey Utility is not enough
  As you can read in other forum threads you must also install Toshiba common Modules.

  So please check again the Web from Toshiba site and download/install the common Modules. Then retest FN keys.
