Missing driver Vista, need to fix and recover

I am running vista on a vaio - or at least I was...

Laptop was strangely and I realized that I had no recovery discs. (literally) In the middle of their creation, my system spontaneously turned off.  Then... no recovery disc (but I have a license number), no functional operating system and no access to my taxes, music, work, etc. which is on the hard drive.
Already had problems with vista (could not rename files, blue screen of death, computer laptop, telling me that the drivers are not or work (but it appeared when checking them) and more fun).  On the plus side, I had the good idea to actually write one of the messages of error just before my laptop is off.  So I know EXACTLY what driver is missing that prevents windows from functioning.

1. What are my options to resolve this - as I currently own a very expensive paperweight?
My priority is the information that I am trying to back up.
2 given my love of clear (or not) of Vista and the possibility that all of the information is just... lost...: it's time to look at another operating system and all over again?
BTW, I'm a trade consultant then please give instructions that 'I' would be able to follow.  As a sign of sincere gratitude... Helpless

Hello

system restore or Startup Repair disk:

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

Windows Vista

Using the F8 method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
  3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
  5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not read this information

the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the

http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start

It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu

Data recovery

1. remove the hard drive and it slave in another computer

2 buy or borrow a USB disk drive hard put in yout case then plug it into another computer and read the hard drive like this

3. try Knoppix

http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

BUT this method depends on your hardware in the computer that failed

How to reinstall vista;

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

http://www.theeldergeek.com/Vista/vista_clean_installation.html

Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

    Floop51,
Take a look at this post: what to post in the forum games and then give us the details of your system and the operating system.   Given that this error is indicating your graphics card you can uninstall\reinstall the most recent driver.  Then clean restart your system and test.  Check the specifications of your video against the requirements of the game card.  If your card is at the very least, you may need to lower the resolution of the game.

  • Format HARD drive, delete the recovery partition and recover with disc

    Hello

I have a laptop Satellite C660D-17F and want to format my HDD, remove the recovery partition and recover the preinstalled Windows 7 and other software. I don't want to keep my own data, which are all stored already, I just want to be sure I can safely restore preinstalled stuff. I have a few questions that I need help to clear up before I go ahead.

Am I right in thinking the dvd recovery disc I made when I got to my laptop has all the software and drivers that I need on this subject, the same that would have the recovery partition? If I do another room to spare in now just to be sure only will they have the out-of-box default stuff: OS, software and drivers on any of my data?

I found [this post | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/items/faq/71] which explains the recovery process. If I select "Erase the hard drive" (so I can wipe my hard drive and delete the recovery partition too) what happens after that? It will restore the OS and the software for the backup of dvd drive? Will the process after that recreate a recovery partition (which I don't)?

    Added SIDENOTE:
I actually prefer to be able to choose what programs preinstalled settle after that I have format, but I'm guessing that probably isn't possible and will settle for install everything and remove what I'm after. Or is there a way?

Sorry, I know that was a long post, but I want to be sure of what will happen BEFORE I'll and spoil things! :) If you got this far, thanks for reading. :)

    Hello

I will try to offer help. ;)
    > Am I right in thinking the dvd recovery disc I made when I got to my laptop has all the software and drivers that I need on this subject, the same that would have the recovery partition?
Yes. Saved on recovery discs recovery image contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, specific Toshiba and utility tools and some additional software.
    > If I do another room to spare in now just to be sure only will they have the out-of-box default stuff: OS, software and drivers on any of my data?
Preinstalled Toshiba Recovery creator make recovery disc that includes the recovery image only. It has nothing to do with your personal data.
    > I found this post that explains the process of recovery. If I select "Erase the hard drive" (so I can wipe my hard drive and delete the recovery partition too) what happens after that?
After that, you should use recovery disks created for the recovery image installation.
    > Will the process after that recreate a recovery partition (which I don't)?
When you use the recovery disc for your laptop recovery image installation will have factory settings which include the recovery saved on the HARD disk image. To be honest I do not understand why you do not want to have this recovery image on the HARD drive. This allows the installation of recovery using recovery of HARD drive option. But of course you can delete it later for more free space on your HARD drive. Installation image that you can always use created for recovery discs-recovery DVDs.
    > I'd really rather be able to choose what programs preinstalled settle after that I have format, but I'm guessing that probably isn't possible and will settle for install everything and remove what I don't want after
    Fix.

Good luck and if you have any other questions feel free.

Please need drivers Wireless HotKey Utility for Vista (FN + F8).

    TNX.

    Hey Buddy

Utilities for Vista Toshiba are a little different and not the same thing as XP Toshiba Utilities
The only Wireless HotKey Utility that controls the FN + F8 key combination does not exist.
You need to download the Package of added value that controls the different utilities.
The common driver of TOSHIBA, TOSHIBA Flash Cards components are necessary and important if you want to use the key features of the FN.

Notes; the TOSHIBA components common driver must be installed as the first because it is an essential component of Windows Vista. He will have to make the other original programming TOSHIBA works correctly.

Satellite A200-175 belongs to the PSAE6 series. Then choose the right one and install it!

  • Fixing and recover data from my kMyBoss to and from file real *.indd

    Hi all

    The question is this.

I need to store some data in the document and when I close the document, my technical data should be saved to the indd file, so that when I open this document I would be able to recover my data.

I found an interesting interface IBlackBoxData in REF API, but there are no samples or examples

Maybe someone has some experience in the resolution of these problems?

In short - there is advice on how to tie my kMyBoss data to the actual indd file and then restore the data from file to my kMyBoss?

    Kind regards

    Oleg

    Hi all

    I found my mistake.

Before you define local variables, which must be registered to the use of the PreDirty() method documents.

For Boolean data, it will be something like this:

    void CMyBoolDataImpl::Set (bool16 b)

    {

    If (m_data! = b) {}

    PreDirty();

    m_Data = b;

    }

    }

    and that's all

    Kind regards

Hi I need to format and recover the phone of my girlfriend after she threw on me!

How can I delete the OS and reinstall?

THX in advance for your prompt response

    Manual device OS upgrade instructions:

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    2. make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry. Get DM here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

    3. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

    5. This step is not necessary unless there is a problem on the next steps. Use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a full backup), then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) then proceed to step 6

6 remove the internet connection for PC and reboot the PC.

    7. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

    8. If you did step 5, restoration of the back upward. Follow this KB if necessary http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10339

  • Need driver Vista for Geforce 7300 Go on Satellite A200-1DB

I just bought a Satellite A200-1DB (Windows Vista, Core Duo 1, 86GHz, 2 GB RAM, Geforce 7300 Go).

It works well, but missing the Nvidia Control Panel. Missing part TV/video, and it's a shame. I like to use the PureVideo features when I whatch DVD but I can't. Does anyone of you know how to activate this part of the driver?

This isn't everything. I tried to download the latest official Nvidia driver (ver. 162,22) and install it. The driver then said something like the following: that he actually supported this graphics card, but would not install because it was a machine of Toshiba and drivers for Toshiba machines had to be downloaded from Toshibas own homepage.

Then I went to Toshibas own page and found - WOW - 97,59 version dates back to January 13, 2007. In fact the update page it listed with a date who said on August 10, but when I uploaded it, I discovered that it was the same driver that I was already using. This annoyed me a bit. Former pilot, lack of Panel options.

    The questions are:
    1. is there a way to get the option control panel to the missing address?
    2. is there a way to install the driver Nvidia official and considerably more recent anyway?

    I would appreciate your comments.

    Hi mate,

a quite common problem that you have.

Quickly a few suggestion from me to you:

    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
    http://www.OmegaDrivers.NET/

Try these sites for the latest video drivers because the drivers on these sites are modified to operate on mobile systems.
With regard to your TV/video problem: nvidia Don t vista driver supports this feature (and a few others like gamma that is needed by me :)) but because the pilots are in a State soon enough.

Maybe the new version supports it, I'll have to take a look.

    So, to answer your questions:

    1. Yes, if the latest drivers are going to support him.
    2. Yes, click on the links.

    No problem

    See you soon

After Vista update cannot find the external hard drive, AutoPlay does not work, and new unusable disk appears under my computer. Also I can't 'manage' my computer because I do not have "permissions". I tried a fix he 45071 and it did nothing.

Applications, (Norton and McAfee) (including free evaluation versions are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.) If NIS has been installed for 3 years, you have NIS update at least once and maybe twice (e.g., NIS 2009 > NIS 2010 > NIS 2011).

[You may want to print these instructions for reference offline. If a step said to reboot, reboot.]

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) viaControl Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

    5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    6. do a clean install of NIS 2011 (using your product ID, if need be) & reboot. CF. http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

NOTE: Do NOT activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

    7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate (Norton) until you get a prompt "no update more".

    9. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & run that set it by DEFAULT and modes and AGGRESSIVE. [1]

    Hello

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (update your video/display driver).

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your
System. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address
of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and
    more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

To check system drivers manufacturer as replacements and camera manufacturer who are most
current. Control Panel - device - Display Adapter Manager - note the brand and
fill out the template tab of the driver for your card video - double-click - write down the
the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver
    stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd
evening with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration), and then
Site of the manufacturer of the device (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions.
(Review of the BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system while there).

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT
    After each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you install
actually arises. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed
(particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check is to be sure
    installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    I m much trouble.

I had the same problem and tried to update everything!

Have you noticed that the 'settings' option is disabled, if you right click on the video?

Well, first you do is to wait for one of the small video spots to start on the same screen, right click on that and uncheck the box that says something like "enable hardware acceleration".

And voila! -who should fix it. If this isn't the case, I'm sorry and good luck with your search for a solution!

  • Windows Vista will not start and cannot recover

I have a desktop PC HP Compaq Presario, which has about 2 years. The problem started when Windows Vista was not able to start. It would load up on the "COMPAQ" screen and then it would just go to a slider black white screen with a flashing white light on the top left. Now that I've seen a lot of discussions with this similar problem, but it seems that people would rather not reformat in order to lose any important data. But in my situation, I have some important data on my computer so reformatting would be fine, except...

-Recovery system won't work. I insert the 1 system recovery disk, all files loading correctly, it allows me to choose if I want to reset the computer to factory settings, I click Yes and it finishes the reformatting step. But then the problem comes when I insert disc 2, original content relocation step. It fills up to 10-16% and then I get a blue screen of death STOP: 0 x 00008086. I tried SEVERAL times and the same thing happens.

-The next thing I tried to do is to fix the computer via a copy burned Windows Startup Repair. Loads everything up, I spent the page where I choose my language, currency, etc. The problem comes when I get to the System Recovery Options. There is no listed BONES and a box appears and says "Searching for Windows installations", and then it stalls just on this pop up. This problem is quite recent, because before there is no pop up and there is simply no OS listed, so I still could not repair or restore in any case.

-Before, when I was able to go into the advanced options on the Startup Repair disk (when he was not of "searching for Windows installations" pop up to stall on), I'd go to the command prompt in attempt to chkdsk/r C:. All bad sectors or groups or something else would be fixed, and then he would hold to step 5 of 5 when checking free space.

-In addition, I tried to make a diagnosis of memory via the Startup Repair tool. That's what I get:

    File: \boot\memtest.exe

    Status: 0xc000000f

Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt

Furthermore, I cleaned my computer, it is now almost completely free of dust. In addition, I can't get into the BIOS, I can't get into safe mode, and now I can't have in the command line

and need the help of a real store of the computer (no leeks and glances at a Best Buy or any other
Department stores) or Support of HP/Compaq.

    Forums for HP/Compaq

    I hope this helps.
