Adapter SATA drive HARD E6230 of latitude

I bought a used laptop from Latitude E6230 of my employer. They took on the HARD drive and I have a new facility. Apparently, an adapter is required to convert the SATA HDD (horizontal) on the motherboard SATA (vertical).

Unfortunately I can't find it on the DELL site. No idea how I can fix this problem? Thank you.

Hello.

You need a leap of HDD SATA: Y5GVV - BRIDGE CONVERTER SATA FOR MB, E6220

I ordered a compatible here: www.aliexpress.com/.../32661417091.html

And it works very well.

PS: Or you could search "hdd interposer E6230" or "E6230 SATA Interposer" or even "E6230" and choose one of the stores you like part necessary.

  • Adding a second 3.5 inch SATA drive HARD internal product HP Pavilion model 500-A47A #: H5P71AA #ABA

I bought a Pavillion HL # 500 - A47A, product model #: Office H5P71AA #ABA about a week ago.  It came with a HARD SATA 3.5 inch disk drive 1 TB and a 5.25 DVD burner inches.  I want to add a second HARD internal 3.5-inch disk, but there is no mounting bracket in the case.  When I called to request a mounting bracket, I got responses ranging from "we can send a technician to do it" to "it cannot be done" so that the case can be customized.

There is plenty of space behind the drive and in fact, there is a cable hanging there to add a second drive.

I'd appreciate any help with where to find a 3.5 HARD drive mounting bracket.  I have a HDD from my old PC

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion 500-computer 047c of office. According to the specification, this model has only a single drive 3.5 "bay and one 5.25" drive Bay. Without using the optical drive Bay, you must use the double-sided tape or drill holes into the housing to mount media training or a cage in the computer.

  • Adapter of drive HARD R40

I find a lot of conflicting information on what would be suitable for a R40 Thinkpad Ultrabay HDD adapter. I know that the reader must be parallel ATA, series No. One that comes up most often is 08 k 6067, which is for Ultrabay 2000, but the R40 has a Ultrabay housing more and supoosedly they aren't caches. In his favor the official Maintenance Thinkpad R40 manual lists it as correct to use unit and I know it's the truth. Someone knows he sure if this iron is, indeed, the correct unit, or should I be looking for another?

  • On the desktop HP Pavilion p7-1110, are you able to adapt several drive HARD internal inside the case?

I already know desktop HP has a problem where your were not able to adapt hard drives inside the it (something about a cage, picky HP or any other reason)...

I went to Staples/Best Buy/Office Max/Office deport and no one seemed to know, I had a couple of even opening the case of the employee, and I see different areas (of 3 total), where it SEEMS that you can, there was even a LABEL that says HARD drive, so I suppose it's possible... but that's the point of sale , so before buying the office tomorrow, I want to confirm that you CAN hold at least 3 hard disks inside.

Wouldn't buy and undergo a 15% restocking fee.

    Matt, welcome to the forum.

Yes, there are berries of disc 2-5, 25 "and 2-3, 5" bays of drive.  Now, there may be other readers in some of them, but those that are vacant will hold a reader.  Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.

I don't think that you can do in XP. I think that you need x 64 XP, Vista x 64 win7 x 64 or windows server x 64. As it says here

The only thing you can do in XP's format

  • Satellite P200-13Z - upgrade the hard drive - can I use SATA II hard drives?

I have a Satellite P200-13Z with simple standard Fujitsu 120 GB SATA hard drive. I want to change this to a RPM SATA II 250 GB Western Digital 7200 RPM drive. This interface SATA laptop does support SATA II? Thank you very much!

Not your portable computer does not support SATA II.

However, you can buy the SATA II hard drive and put it in your laptop. Only way to get it going is to restrict the new speed of SATA HDD, I accelerate. To do this is to introduce a jumper on the drive to restrict it to SATA I speeds up. Once it's done put in your laptop and viola, it works.

Good luck, but I would like to get a toshiba technician to install it if its under warranty. It's for your own good, so you don't turn your laptop into a boat anchor.

  • Advice on moving 1.5 to SATA 2 HARD drive and put the Samsung SSD on SATA 1...

My plan is to make a DVD of W10 MS

    Power off

    Unplug 1.5 to boot/storage HDD SATA 1

    Connect Samsung SSD SATA 1

Turning and fresh install MS W10 on SSD and let it update

Then, can I plug 1.5 to SATA 2 HARD drive and make it just my storage via disk management?

What steps/tips to make this an easy transition?

    Paul

It should not matter if you use SATA1 or SATA2, but there are always exceptions.

I got a motherboard with two different SATA [Intel & Marvel] controllers with different speeds. It is unusual, so the safest bet is to use the same SATA connector for your new SSD that you used for your old HDD.

Since you have two bootable disks, you may need to go into EUFI/BIOS and set your boot order to boot from the new SSD first.

You should be able to access the files on the old drive without problems, but I've seen on occasion where you will get an "Access denied" error due to 'permissions' problems, especially if the original/OS disk has been protected by a password. If you have any questions, you can create a linux live boot disk "to access your files.

Instead keep you the old drive as is, with an operating system and boot volumes on it, you must backup/move your important files to your new SSD then remove all volumes on the old disk, create a volume, and then format to use as a data/backup drive.

  • Insert hard drive in Ultrabay 2000 2nd drive HARD adapter

I tried in vain to insert a hard drive in Ultrabay 2000 drive adapter. The hard drive is a MHV2060AH of Fujitsu (new) 60 GB hard drive (Enhanced IDE (ATA-6)). The Ultrabay 2000 drive adapter is reference number of IBM 08K 6068. The adapter fits into my Thinkpad A21m and my Thinkpad Docks. Try as I might, I just can't get the hard drive far enough into the connector to be able to close the plastic latch at the end. In fact, I accidentally broke a small thin strip of plastic on the latch, trying to close with the hard drive in place. I know it's supposed to tight once it is seated, but is it supposed to be so hard to insert? She isn't very good at pushing it in your fingers, or is there another problem with the help of this hard drive? Is that what I should buy another brand of hard drive or another model? I would be grateful for advice. Thank you.

Riders would usually be on the four pins are grouped together - on the left side if I remember - and they are no tiny circles more rubber in most cases. You should be able to remove them if you are careful not to bend the pins.

Hard drive model you do reference has been out of production at least 2 or 3 years. You might have bought one of OUR (New Old Stock), though.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 GB does support SATA 300 HARD drive?

I want to spend my Sat A200 - 1 GB hard disk with a 7200 RPM one... but they are all SATA300 models.
Is this speed mode supported by the bios, motherboard and sata controller of this laptop?

I just want to be sure that the hard drive works at its maximum speed capability and the sata and the mobo will not be a bottleneck...

If Yes, the sata controller driver whichsis?... I want this wake in my own vista installation disc.

    Hello!

Yes, you can use a disk with SATA300 mode but it only works in normal mode SATA no more at maximum speed. The Satellite A200 supports only SATA 1.0 mode (SATA150).

You can use a HARD drive with 7200 RPM, this isn't a problem.

What HARD drive capacities are supported, that you can see in the user manual. Look in Chapter 1.

The SATA driver is in the Intel Storage Manager package.

    Hello

It's a shame you don't know the exact name of the virus

Malware can cause non-genuine messages appear

    but try this:

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
  • Can I add a third hard drive to h9 Pavilion HPE currently have an SSD drive and a SATA drive?

HP Pavilion HPE h9 (Phoenix), win 7 64

Can I add a third SATA drive to my system?  The specs say three bays are available, but when I ordered it I could not add a third (or greater than 1 TB drives).  Is there something on the SSD that changes the spacing of the drive Bay?  I prefer not to take the walk outside if there is no way to add another drive.

    Hello

Please report the number of HP for your PC product.

You review this article and video?  You will need to remove the cage hard disk to install the third hard disk. In general, the SSD is in the middle of each side mounting with HDDs of 3.5 ".  Hard drive cage is made for three hard disks.

The specifications indicate theProvisioning for three hard drives on this particular model. The firm seems to be the same as the other two models HPE H9.

  • a1140n flag replacing the SATA II HARD drive?

SATA II disks can be used to replace a SATA drive failed in the above desktop machine?

The specifications for the machine indicates SATA, but I'm not sure the new II will work in the system.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes that correct, there is no reason why technical SATA-300 (SATA II) will not work in the system SATA-150. Like most BUSES and protocols, the specifications call for SATA-300 to be backward compatible with SATA-150.

I read this somewhere a bit backwards: the HD is not reach anywhere near the 300 MB/s transfer speed which can be able to SATA-300 interface, test to see the

    up to 35 MB/s - 135 MB/s for non-RAID drives and up to 225 MB/s for readers RAID0 configuration. 150 / 300 MB/s is SATA ports

maximum transfer rate, not the maximum hard disk transfer rate. This means that the port can handle up to this number transmittions,

but this does not mean that the hard drive can achieve this goal.

If the faster hard drives can only max to 135 Mbit/s it makes you wonder why SATA-600 is developed. I would get a HARD drive with the largest affordable cache on this subject.
