Missing file from Photoshop support

I get this error message when I start Photoshop

"One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for the operation of Photoshop, are missing.  Run the Photoshop Installer and re-install Photoshop. "I used my creative cloud membership for Photoshop. How do I re - install?

I use Mac Lion. I was able to uninstall Photoshop and install again. I no longer receive this message so I think that the problem is resolved. Thank you.

  • How to remove temporary files from Photoshop?

I use Mac a friend and in Photoshop, from time to time he always tells me that the scratch disk is almost full and cannot perform actions until I get rid of things on the computer. I delete the files, but after a while he continues to to - I would rather just delete temporary files from Photoshop instead of files of my friend. But I was not able to find any where - where is this folder? or what I should enter in a search?

You don't need to do it manually.

You can clear the scratch disk:

    Edit-Purge-All

You will lose your history if you do this (all cancellations).

Basically you run of space on the drive system - not a good situation. I would like to talk to your friend to check maybe some files and then remove them. Or buy a firewire drive and use it as a scratch disk.

Do not delete the files from your friend if you want to stay friends.

  • Missing files from Yahoo

I get a message when I try to open my Yahoo Games site. It reads "Windows can not find http:// login.yahoo.com/config/reset_cookies_tokens...and it lists a whole lot more including Messenger." When I click OK it is then up to my counter top. I am able to access my yahoo and everything what it with the exception of the application of games. Is there a way to retrieve this file from a download? I tried everything I know to solve this problem.

It seems that it may have moved to a gambling problem, something a little more.  But here are some things you can try if you still experience the problem.

  • Missing files in Photoshop Elements 8

I just upgraded from 7 to 8 PES PES.  Pictures of PSE 7 are readable, clear and net (about 7000 photos dating back to the year 1999).  Each year I'm new records of events for this year here and keep them under my pictures folder on my drive "D" (having a HD partitioned into a "C" and "D" readers).   In 2010, I made records for various events and their name according to.  Example are 2010 - Easter; 2010 - Hawaii, 2010 - Convention, etc.  All the earlier for 2009 and previous years (before 2010) "converted" without any apparent problem in PSE 8.  Several records 2010 also converted without any problem, but the three most recent pictures folders show blurry thumbnails in the organizing form of PSE 8 items and when we click on say "search the missing file.  The file is not found.

As much as I know there is no difference in the way these 3 pictures folders are labeled and were imported to the PSE 7, where they continue be seen as sharp photos.  In other words, in PSE 7, there no problem but in PSE 8 these three files of photos "is not found."

Does anyone have an idea of what is the problem and how to overcome?  If this isn't the case, then I guess it was a mistake to upgrade from 7 PSE 8 PSE as PSE 7 works perfectly.  Best bet is just to delete PSE 8 until this problem is solved?

    Running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.

Looking at the photo 'properties' in records, they show a path of F as

hard drive not D.  At the same time, I ran a Raid 1 Raid array where I had

on HD 1 a drive C and D reflected on HD 2.  Something has happened on

    There are 3 months and Raid 1 exploded while I have a C, D, E and F drives.  I have

guess it of possible that when I loaded PSE 8 and ran then convert the

Catalog got confused and stressed F drive not D where I put the photos. I have

guess the question is how to have the catalog on the D drive where all

    are the records of photos?

  • missing files from lightroom CR2, but they are still on the hard drive

    I tried uninstall/reinstall version 5.5 and 5.7

It is only happing with some files

    I tried new catalog

When I reimport them it obscures the file as a duplicate until I say to allow duplicates.

Lightroom displays files in the files of the Archive, I think that is the question.

I think I got it, it was not well documented feature.

When you import, you are given the option to create another copy of the raw as a backup file.

I recently did the update online to 5.7 and it did an uninstall of 5.5 then installed 5.7 instead of simply adds the updated files.

During this time he must have updated the catalogue with the backup/archive folder. Once it did I saw is no longer my CR2 file where they should have been.

To resolve this case fully, I have to move the Archives to a location outside of the images folder and re-import the missing files.

Sync did not work for me... I suggest all to ensure your backup/archiving is not in the pictures folder.

  • Missing files from the catalog

Recently, I noticed that 18 files containing images captured during the last half of 2015 are missing from my catalog.  All my images are placed in a single catalog.  These records and images placed in these, are present in the main folder on my hard drive where all my images are stored, catalog backups that I created after each important Lightroom use and in the trash.  I can say with certainty, that I have did not remove these files and pictures accidentally or intentionally.  I suspect that these images can be imported again but probably no parameters and, perhaps, of metadata.  I know that I can go back to the last backup of the catalog that contains these images but I would lose a significant amount of work done during the last two weeks, marking hundreds of images with keywords, and adjusting the parameters of development.

Oh I hope someone can explain this situation and help me with a resolution.

DJ is right; It doesn't really matter.

The only reason to have a distinctive folder structure is if it helps find stuff browsing the Finder; but it is the poor way to find photos that it's not worth putting a lot of effort in. Some applications and other things can cause you to need a folder; for example, I have a folder called 'For the Forums' or something that I export to Lr, so I can find pictures to download on forums like this. But I do not import even 90% of files in there (I could MOVE JPEG files in there in Lr, but it's very very very different from export tell a RAW edited under a PNG image to this folder.) And once exported, I don't need to import export).

Some applications want to a dedicated folder, as Mylio. Sometimes a folder contains images that do not belong to me. I love dates because I move older files off my boot drive to external to save space. I often add a name of place or another template to a folder when I'm still editing and play with them; often not. I have some folders on an external named for the place because I took so many shots, but they tend to be just to say "EBRPD/Tiilden." I have to do some moving off Lr because my pictures folders contain files (such as PPM, dop sidecars and some other stuff) that Lr will not move.

    Here are some examples:

  • When I transfer a file from photoshop into indesign, what is the best format for printing purposes?

Let me give you a little background here. I do my mini portfolio. It is a collection of works of my choice. I place objects in Indesign. I placed Indesign and Illustrator files in Indesign without going through problems of impressions pixelated. When I placed a Photoshop file in Indesign my pixelated image slightly. Guys can help me solve my problem? Thank you.

You must ensure that the files have a sufficient number of pixels at a certain size and a certain ppi.

    For example, to print an image of 8 x 10 inches at 300 dpi, you need 2400 x 3000 pixels. (8 x 300 per 10 x 300)

If you resize the image upwards in Indesign, the ppi will be reduced. Choose the image and let effective ppi in the links Panel.

If th pixelation only happens in Indesign and not when printing, do a right-click on the image in the layout and choose display performance > high quality display.

You can also set in display performance preferences.

But what you see in Indesign is in any case an overview of reduced quality, not the original.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 and I'm interested to buy a Web design with photoshop CC15. I have no chance to use it?

  • How do I get missing files from my office to my Lightroom 5 catalog?

Here's the problem: I have some files I know are on my desk. When I click "Import", LR takes me to the screen, or the next layer where I see the files in their hard drives. I click on the hard drive which has my 'stuff '. I see the file for my Photos with Lightroom. I click on it. When I go down to where the records that are "missing" on the catalog on the library page, I see them. If I go where I want to import to (on the right panel), they are there.

I just don't see them in records, under the section the library catalogue.

How can I get the files that are not listed on the library to the library?

It is very difficult to explain without a person being able to see what I see.

    Thank you

Maybe I misunderstood... my mistake. However, in the future please do not use the word 'file' when you really want to say 'folder '.

You claim that these folders appear in the import section, but not in the main page of the library (I presume in the hand side left panel records). Is this correct?

This means that you must import photos into these files in Lightroom and then folders will show up in the library panel folders module.

  • Need to find and replace any missing files from XP MS Fax

Hello.  My computer is a HP Pavilion a1430n, double quick March, media library.  Quite awhile back, I got some virus problems, and when I got rid of the virus I have deleted some files XP fax as well.  I can still send a fax, but cannot get the fax monitor to open or view what I send you after the cover page.  Will someone please tell me how to fix my fax?  In addition, I don't know how I ended up in Vista, because it is XP.  Thank you for your time.  Sincerely, Cindy

You should be able to do that in ' Control Panel | Add/Remove programs. Add/Remove Windows components.  Uncheck remove to allow complete and Fax services (which allows to uninstall Fax), then repeat the process and replace the check mark for re - install the Fax components.

    Hello

Here's a possible solution that I gave to a poster in these Forums with a problem similar to yours:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-system/Vista-system-restore-issue/6bd382b5-8f3d-48fa-9ABC-3792f53db945

You may also still have some malware installed.

Read the information on the link provided (Section 19 and 21) on the way to "unmask" data and Start Menu as a few skins of Malware.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-Windows-Vista-recovery

While you're there, it would be a good idea to follow in their footsteps of malware removal to ensure that your system is clean.

This is a very good general Malware cleaning page there.
