Missing file prevents C310 installation

I am trying to reinstall my printer C310 on my DV7 64 bit laptop on Windows 7, after successfully removing a printer "ghost" reported previously. Apparently, the installation fails because of the inability to find a file 'E:\Setup\,,\hpzpnp40.exe '.

Despite many attempts and use of diagnostics hp I can't progress. Installation of hp 'thing' reports the problem to hp and it always comes back to say problem rectified but it is never. Anyone have any idea what I can do next, or how I can get the missing file? I can use the printer with a USB port, but prefer to use wireless to release a port. When I try to put it fi it tells me that a pilot is missing and I guess that this has a link to the file missing but if I try to install a driver I go back into the same loop failed. GordonW

Thank you, Gordon

Tuesday, I finally gave up on my solo attempt to solve the problem and contacted the support team I have a contract with. I'd rather try to fix things myself, because it helps to improve knowledge (even if it can also generate new problems sometimes!). Anyway, it took 5 hours, even through all the process that I had tried before she finally settled. I can not tell you what they didn't put that 2 printers on my system, one to use when the connected USB and one for the wireless connection, but the problem is now resolved. It is only this am I saw your reply which is very much appreciated, thank you. Gordon w

    Dear all,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I solved the problem with the solutions below.

EM Express can be accessed thorugh the URL to https://:default.

A login page is displayed and the user can connect with any credential valid DB.

or use the following query when you are connected to the CBD or PDB for generating the URL:

    For HTTPS :

    SQL > SELECT 'https://'|| SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'SERVER_HOST') |'. ' || SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'DB_DOMAIN') |': ' | dbms_xdb_config.gethttpsport () | "/em/' double.

  • reproductive Extender invalid files in the installation directory - how to correct?

My computer Guard stops. When it restarts, it displays a message 'invalid or missing files in the installation directory. Please reinstall Extender Player". How can I fix it?

    Hello

    1. have you done any change in software on the computer lately?
    2. are you able to boot in safe mode?
    3. do you have the Extender player installed on your computer?
If so have you tried to re - install?

    Method 1.
If you are able to boot to the desktop then disable automatic reboot.

My computer properties > Advanced tab > startup and recovery settings > uncheck automatically restart.

    Method 2.
Check to see if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the computer works as expected in mode without failure, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.

Note: Configure the computer to start in the State of clean boot to Safe Mode and check.
    a. refer to the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    b. you need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

So, I need to run my programs.  I tried to re - install or uninstall some key programs, but I get an error that it can't uninstall, and it cannot install because it first tries to uninstall.  (example, I get the error message 'Error' 'the program name "" is not a valid short file name "then it cancels the uninstall when I hit the 'ok' button.)

I have decided to all re - install windows and start over, but now I get this new error.    "Media insert some files is missing." Your windows installation or medial recovery will provide these files. "

For those who have the same problem, I finally download adobe cc cleaner (the regular one was not effective there). You end - up in the ms - dos environment. I answered 'yes' to everything. Pretty scary. Got the ride (normally) of all adobe software. Restart the installation of LR6 and... It worked.

    Hello sandrine,.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. After you have installed Windows on your PC, you are able to install Windows updates?
    2. Have any security software installed?
    3. What is the exact error code/message you get when installing applications?
    4. Are you logged in with an administrator account or a standard account?

Try these steps and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

    Method 1

First of all, try to run the fixit/convenience store described in the article mentioned below. This fixit is used to fix the below mentioned corruption.

    • Registry keys damaged on 64-bit operating systems
    • Corrupt registry keys that control the update data
    • Problems that prevent the installation of new programs
    • Problems that prevent existing programs are completely uninstalled or updated
    • Problems you block of uninstalling a program through Add or remove programs (or programs and features) in Control Panel.

Solve problems that block the programs to be installed or removed

    Method 2

There could be a chance that the service responsible for the installation of application does not run. So, I suggest you to check if the installation service is running and its status is automatic.

    • Press the Windows key + R to open Run box.
    • Type services.msc in the Run box and press on enter.
    • Look for the Windows service install.
    • Right-click on the service and select Properties from the list.
    • Start the service if it is not executed.
    • Make sure that the Startup type should be Automatic.

Get back to us with all the necessary information and the result of the proposed suggestion. We will be happy to help you further.

    Kind regards
