• Another PC, same software, missing file Type Options

  I just switched to another PC in my office and copied on Microsoft Photo Editor from my previous machine.  On this machine, I regularly used this software to open it. PCX files.  On this machine, the Photo editing software does not recognize. PCX as a file type.  Is there something I can do for that change?  This is the same version of the software, so I don't understand why this is happening.

  P.S. I discovered other programs that will be open. PCX files, but I can't find them almost as easy to use.

  It seems that the Photo Editor is an integral part of earlier versions of Microsoft Office (it disappeared in more recent versions).  According to the following articles, it seems that it takes a graphic filter 'PC Paintbrush' to work with the format PCX with the Office Suite.  Photo Editor may require this as well...

• Invalid Jpeg marker type

  Hi - I'm having a problem with some jpg files in Elements 9.  When I try to open some jpg it tells me "could not complete your request because one finds a kind of unknown or invalid jpeg marker."  The strange thing is that files in the Windows Explorer icon displays the photo icon and I am able to open the photo in error-free Windows Photo Viewer.  If the file has been corrupted, I thought that I wouldn't be able to see the photo icon and that he would not be able to open in Photo Viewer.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  Thank you!

  HI Niagara, you tried to open the file in the image viewer Windows (or even MS paint) and then by her recording from there such as jpeg, bmp or tiff? The recorded file should open then fine in photoshop.

  You probably have a 16-bit file. Change it to 8 - bit (Image > Mode > 8-bit)

  Don't know why, but among my default markers I have only three types appearing in prelude:

  Does anyone know how to restore the default set of markers so that I can retrieve other: Flash Cue Point, Web link, chapter are all missing from the default values.

  Thank you for opening this thread. Looks like we don't communicate this change very well with the CC prelude 20141 version. The types of markers, that we removed were in response to the fact that they were not used - as maybe some people were used according to our monitoring. We are always looking for ways to erase the 'disorder' and make the application more usable.

  If you placed these types of markers on clips previously, they will appear always associated with these clips. And when you load a clip with these types of markers above as in the marker Type Panel, you will see these marker buttons appear again for the duration of the project/video you are watching. If no metadata has been lost, but we remove these types of markers.

  If there is a demand for these types of markers, we'd love to hear it--that we can certainly add more if necessary.

• is it possible to change the color of the marker after the fact as a prelude?

  I love prelude as a program for recording of my images. I have a number of markers that have different colors, but I would like to know if it is possible to change the color of the marker after it's done. I know that this can easily be done in first, but why not as a prelude?

  First, you can easily change color even way of a marker after after the marker was done...

  Conversely, why first does not respect the colours of marker in the prelude, and has rather by default them all green? This should be addressed in the next update.

  Otherwise, there is no reason to be multicolored markers in prelude if all change the default is green once they appear in the first.

  Thanks for pointing it. Currently, it is not possible to change the colors of the markers, after that they were recorded, in the prelude to the way in which it can be made into Pre Pro.

  Well, the colors are editable, even after cutting, but the colors of the markers would change. Consider the following scenarios:

  1. add some markers; Comments and subitems on any multimedia file. Go to editing Preferences-->--> marker. Select the marker type and the corresponding color. Ok

  Back to the scenario where you connected to certain markers. The colors of all the same type of markers would be changed.

  However, you can have different colors for different markers of the same type.

  2. I hope you tried the models tag of prelude--> window--> tag. With tags, you can set tags of different colors. They work as comment markers.

  You can create tags of 100 francs of colors and save them in media files.

  Although you will not be able to change the color of the already signed tags/comments, but surely you can change the colors of the tags as well & easily as pre pro.

  Tags also give a wide range of colors, so maybe you won't feel like by changing the colors of the markers after cutting.

• Insert table when missing data

  I have the following table, for readability I cracked the after each manager for each file number. The last column is the cumulative sum of the second last column. Value for month should ideally go 1 - 3 (as we see in both cases to Chicago). But the table, you can see in some cases, some entries are missing (marked by <-).

• Types of markers for Prelude?

  What would be the way to add a marker type custom to the prelude, that could be used in addition to the default 6 marker (a subelement, comment, flash cue, weblink, chapter and speech)?

  I wish I had a possibility to add a set of properties with a specific clips starting time limit.  Looking at the CC Extension Builder and going through the documentation of the API of prelude, but have not yet found information on this.

  Through this forum, I understand that you can define a custom metadata schema, but that seems to allow new metadata for the entire clip, without the time of departure.   I also see that prelude provides a user interface to define patterns of marker, but it seems that models would be based on the existing marker types, so I can't add new property Set (s) there.

  executeQuery is necessary when certain changes in query criteria. In this case you simply update of attributes of line, and you don't need to re-run the query. The re-run must be reset the value of the temporary variable for the lines to false. I guess earlier by selecting only selectAll selectAll case was getting checked and boxes for all the lines became not controlled, no?

• Adding items to marker

  I need to add elements of marker to my EDD, but I'm not sure about how to go on this subject so that they display as elements of landmark when the "special / marker" is clicked on.  Specifically, I need to glossary, cross references and custom markers. Any advice or pointers to documentation would be appreciated.

  In a structured document, the user inserts no markers. As with other items, the user inserts the item itself. FrameMaker opens the landmark dialog in which the user enters the desired content. The user CAN change the marker type, but shouldn't, especially if ESD has several elements of different markers.

  I don't know what life would be like if your EDD was a marker and then allow the user to specify the marker type. Which can be confusing and goes against the concepts of structured writing. Maybe others can offer their points of view.

• How to mix different types of notes? (*, 1)

  I have this already designed book, which is a compilation of various authors. Each chapter includes the name of the author beside the first note (1). The text continues with notes over to secuence (1: 2. 3... etc.)

  No I ve been asked to move to a note (*) as the first and the second to start wit (1). I have can´t end the correct way to proceed. Time of you that manually change the (1) to a (*) the reference disappear. In notes options you must only choose one type of trailer, because it does not mix.  Any ideas?

  InDesign doesn't have the abilty to mix the marker type for automated notes.

  Some of the other regualrs who use them more often that I have a better suggestion, but basically, you'll be stuck insert the first notes with the asterisk "by hand" on the page. It might work to include the text of the first note (including the asterisk) as part of the numbered note 1, perhaps in an anchored text frame. I have not tried, so I don't know if it will actually work, and if that's the case I suspect that you would have to do a lot of play with the space above the first note to accommodate the excess text.

• Differentiate the different 'Types' of markers when you place it on the Timeline?

  I searched this forum, the forum FAQ and AE at Creative Cow... can't find a post related to my specific requirements. It would seem that I'm doing isn't rocket science and After Effects (version CS5) should be able to do so without resorting to scripting (I hope)?

  I will deal with a large number of videos where I need to synchronize the animations with dozens of times during each audio video. I have 8 different graphic animations that are common between all the videos.

  
  I understand the wick on the removal of "markers" on the timeline, by using the ' * ' when previewing audio keyboard shortcut. But who doesn't tell me the 'type' of the marker when I come back and associate a particular animation with each of them, for example:

  'Type A' marker... button animation

  ... Switch 'Type B' market slide to left animation

  Marker 'Type C'... switch to slide to the right animation

  
  

  etc etc. Ideally... some "shift/ctrl + number" by sequence keyboard to place AND identify the marker during his fall on the timeline?

  
  This step is intended to be a large consumer of time in our process of finding a way to effectively treat would be incredibly helpful.

  There are no types of different markers, plain and simple, then there may be no shortcut secret or whatever. The markers are placeholders just generic to associate specific metadata at a point in time or as a minor of the temporal beacon here, nothing more. They have no built-in logic or a function. So no matter how much you want to ignore, scripts or manually add comments is the only way to add logic for them, who then may serve as a reference or be addressed in expressions. For something more fancy, probably a dedicated interactive content authoring environment (Flash, Director, unit etc.) is more appropriate. Your use of the case exactly as it sounds.
