missing menu and title bars

in my firefox browser, the title bar and the menu bar are not present. How to re appear?

Here are some options, but I don't know if they will work as I do not use the product and just research online:

Press the Alt key to display the Menu bar, then open view > bars of tools and check the menu bar and title bar.  If I understand the process (I do not use Firefox) this should solve the problem.

Delete the localstore.rdf file will reset the default toolbar customizations. You can rename localstore.rdf localstore.rdf.sav to test if that solves it. Then, you can restore the customization by copying localstore.rdf.sav to localstore.rdf if she did not.

https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/safe+mode  2. go to your Terminal and run: firefox-safe-mode. Then use reset bars tools and controls

This is a forum for Microsoft Vista and these forums are for most Microsoft products (even though we support sometimes other products if the questions are understood or relatively easy to search). For a problem like this, you should contact technical support of Firefox to the http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/ where they are more familiar with the controls and features of the product (regardless of the version you are using).  It is your best bet to find an answer to your problem.  They also have a Forum similar to this one for Firefox-related issues: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38 where you can ask your question and get help.  Here's a link to a question site to their technical support department where you may be able to get an answer (though I can't say how long this will take): http://www.justanswer.com/tags/Computer/mozilla?r=ppc|ga|6|Computer+%2D+Top+Brands|Mozilla+%2D+Trial&JPRC=1&JPKW=mozilla%20player&JPDC=C&JPST=forums.mozillazine.org&JPAD=4386731182&JPAF=txt&JPCD=20091221&JPOP=Jesse_TagsAuto_Tagged&gclid=CJeG_5aL458CFQmU7QodAH7vGw.

If Mozilla doesn't/can't help you, try posting in the Forum programs; http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/threads where the people who specialize in programs other than Vista and IE may be able to help you with your problem.  I say may because they are not necessarily specialists in Firefox (well that a couple can use the product instead of IE - don't forget these are Forums of Microsoft).  Do not be too surprised that if you don't get the answer you're looking for here - Mozilla is that you really want to go.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

    Hi David,

    For now, try to update the display drivers and see if it helps you to solve the problem. Drivers are updated occasionally. Windows can update automatically, or you can install the drivers updated yourself. It is important for you to have confidence in the updated drivers that you install. Windows warns you if it detects a suspicious or dangerous driver, you should not install.

    You can visit the article provided below to update the drivers. If in the Device Manager, it stipulates that drivers are up to date and then try to update the drivers from the manufacturer's website.

    Download and install the drivers

    Keep us updated on the issue and we will be more than happy to help you.

  • Missing episode and title of the Podcast

    I produced a podcast for a few months and everything went great.  But now one of the episodes (ep #15) is missing from the iTunes store and my title changed to "No Title".  Do not know why.

    Pet food; http://www.underthecrossbones.com/feed/podcast/

    iTunes Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/no-title/id1039621331?mt=2

    I checked my stream and the missing episode and the title are here.  I also watched the show in a different podcast player and everything is there.  I use Blubrry power press to manage the episodes on my Wordpress site and I double checked all the settings there.

    Ideas?

    I can't check in Windows, but in iTunes on a Mac store, there is no missing titles. However Episode 15 is missing, even if it displays when you subscribe and seems to be OK in animal feed. Sometimes, the store does this kind of strange thing: it will probably itself sort out the next time the Bank verifies the power, I hope in the next few days.

  • The update to IE 8 last night caused the menu and other bars to turn black in the browser.

    the update of IE 8 last night caused the menu, Favorites bar and the other bars on the top for black.  I uninstalled the update and the bars were all normal.  I went to Winhdows updated and reinstalled IE8 update and the bars are again showing only a small icon where each item is black. I am running XP.  What can be done to fix this?

    Hello

    1. What is the number of KB updates that are at the origin of the problem?

    I suggest that you check the number of KB updates that have been installed recently.

    There is no history of update for Windows XP; but you can see what updates you have installed on your computer by clicking on add or remove programs in Control Panel.

    To see what updates you have installed on a Windows XP-based computer, you must go through a different process.

    (a) go to the start menu in the lower left corner.

    (b) choose Control Panel from the menu.

    (c) find the icon Add / Remove programs and double click it to open it.

    (d) a list of the installed programs. To see Windows updates put a check mark in the Show updatescheck box.

    (e) now, you will see also all the updates that are on your computer.

    Please provide information on the update installed that could be causing the problem so that we can better help you.

  • How to resize tabs, Bar Menu and Bookmarks Bar 36.0, no help file 'userChrome.css '?

    So, I lost my profile when updated FF and had to create a new. From what I can tell, to do what I want to do I need a Chrome folder inside the profile folder. There isn't, so I created one. I also have a .css file named exactly how I put it in the title, this is the correct name, or 'user' is my profile name?

    Last but not least, here is the exact text I have in the file, nothing more, or less, just that:

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */
    #TabsToolbar { height: 15px !important; }
    #PersonalToolbar {height: 4px !important;}
    #BookmarksToolbar {height: 4px !important;}
    #MenuToolbar {height: 4px !important;}
    #tabbrowser-tabs { height: 15px !important; }
    #TabsToolbar { margin-top:-15px!important; }

    Saved the file. Restarted FF, no effect. Numbers changed, still no effect.

    TIA for help.

    PS there is probably some redundancy for sure, please advise. I want all 3 in the smaller thread title (as in the least height)

    You can use negative margins to extend these bar to fill the height of the Navigation bar.

    #urlbar-container,#search-container {margin-top:-1px!important; margin-bottom:0xp!important}

    The large back button adds more at the height of the Navigation toolbar and you need to adjust the padding of his image to reduce its height.

    #urlbar-container #back-button {margin-top:1px!important; margin-bottom:0px!important}
    #urlbar-container #back-button image {padding:3px 3px !important}

    Do the restore of the system in Safe Mode, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  • List of bookmarks replaces the bar menu and taskbar

    When I open a folder of bookmarks that contains a long list of bookmarks that extend upward in the menu bar and down in the taskbar, menu and task bars are crushed and remain even after the bookmarks menu is closed. It remains until the browser is closed, and then reopened or click on the 'Show desktop' button in Windows.

    If disabling hardware acceleration works then you can probably do nothing else to fix other than to update the graphic display driver.

  • How can I get rid of the title bar?

    When I installed Firefox on my new computer Windows 8, I got a style in which there is no title bar. The tabs are up there with a Firefox orange button on the left. It allows to access the menu items. I like that. However, I tried the function of my profile on a Windows 7 computer. (A lot of stuff in there). When I installed that, it put me in a situation where there is a title bar to waste unnecessarily vertical screen space. In this profile of Windows 7, I used the Tiny Menu addon to compress menu items on a single button. It is on a line with the address bar and the search bar. The tabs are below. I can't understand what is set in the profile of my Windows 7 to get the appearance I like in the 8 Windows Installer.

    I tried the tips here: http://www.squidoo.com/hide-firefox-title-bar
    I see no label on the higher setting and browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar is already set to true. When I turn off the Menu bar and title bar goes away and the legs are up there with the orange button in Firefox; However, I lose the address bar and the search quite bar.

    There must be a way to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    The Navigation toolbar has a check mark if you right click on a empty space on the tab bar?

    It has no effect if you open a new window?

  • I'm visually impaired, and due to changes in UI v29, I see is no longer the menu bar where it is hidden in the title bar. How can I move it back to where it belongs?

    I have two computers at home and their improved to 29 of Firefox not knowing it contained UI heavy Exchange. I use the menu, bar and it is now superimposed on the title bar, where due to a visual disability, I can no longer see. Both systems have contrasting colors lit (white on a black background - forget Aero and trick themes), and Firefox is configured to use the system colors.

    Prior to version 29, the menu bar has white text on a black background. now it's on a background of colorful and almost completely invisible to me. The expansion is via the Windows Magnifier and Magnifier added to some Microsoft mouse top of range.

    As you can see on a brand new Virgin of installation of Firefox, no addons, no pre-existing profile, version 29 puts the menu bar on the taskbar. And Firefox, set up as I have, on a configured system with contrasting colors (black in my case) enabled, Firefox is unthemeable.

    But no matter, I Solver this myself. I started in XP and not update Firefox to find a new addon named "Classic theme restaurant" Who did the trick. This mark as resolved. But...

    I wish (not just Firefox) developers who want to fancy to the top of their interfaces would think how it would affect people with visual impairments. We use computers too.

  • The title bar does not appear, it is not a menu option view

    I remember I once a title bar above the horizontal list of tabs, which shows the title of the currently opened tab. But it is not there now; and there is no option in the menu 'View' (which is, I think that I've seen it before) to add. What happens, and how to get the title bar back?

    You have this option on Mac in the palette to customize?

    You can enable or disable switch title bar via the "Title bar" button at the bottom left in the palette to customize window.

    Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command + SHIFT + F).

    There has been an icon of the menu window on the title bar of windows applications. I've just updated to Firefox 29,0 and you have removed all. I want it back (not to talk about the status of the old-school bar; and Yes, I have 4-status-evar and Firefox 29,0 messed a now too).

    The title bar is disabled by default. Open customize in the Panel Menu and click on the title bar to switch it on.
