  I'm trying to remove some languages of my Torch 9850. I recently spent the unit from a torch defective 9850 in a replacement as new from Verizon. Entering BDS V 7.1.0.41, loading Applications gets me only for the applications that I installed from Blackberry World, but it does give me no other options as he used to do the last time I needed to change the language, which was in February, two months ago.   The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (3) download and install on your computer, the BB OS exact package that is currently running on your BB:

  4) remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  Basically, you can't. It is not stored in the device. Either you remember or you call the carrier with your

  number of pins and need to get your restored user name.

  If you remember the username, do not remember your password you can click the password link and reset the password will be sent to your device.

  It all depends on how you have your game of smart dial.

  It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.

  Problem 1, the missing Java constructor can either be handled by adding the text above in the file .projects, or having somehow incremental builders reference the ".externalToolBuilders" folder that I found them in.

  Problem 2 is unique.  To avoid applications with systems operating older running in compatibility mode (the small screen of blue border) on the storms, a file "compatibity.jad" was the project, containing the lines:

  RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode: false
  RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode-UserChangeable: false

  The jad file is added to the real Jad through Update.Jad.  However, during the project/file/new blackberry existing project using Eclipse 3.5 upgrade, program CAP locked on the compatibility.jad file and he was looking for the MIDlet-name.
