Missing network adapter

I'm working on an Acer Aspire 5741z who was under Windows 7. A couple of weeks, he lost the connection wireless internet. On inquiry, the wireless adapter seems to have disappeared - it does not appear in the devices or network connections Manager. I tried enabling / disabling wifi on with Fn + F3 (did not work), install the updated drivers (did not work), System Restore to a point before the missing adapter (did not work). I tried a reinstall of Windows 7 yesterday and the wireless adapter became briefly visible, and I was able to connect wirelessly to my home network. Then he disappeared again. I think there is something in an update of Windows that compels them to become invisible, but have no idea how to fix this. As a last resort, I installed Windows 10, but it has no effect. Ethernet connection is fine, other devices can connect via wifi with no problems.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried method 1 above, without success.

Then I tried method 2, having first set up a system restore point, following the instructions here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-update/driver-verifier-tracking-down-a-mis-behaving/f5cb4faf-556b-4b6d-95b3-c48669e4c983

I restarted the laptop, which crashed a few times, and then returned the error DRIVER_VERIFIED_DETECTED_VIOLATION (do not say which driver). After that he asked me if I wanted to go back to a system restore point, I chose restore.

Once the system restore is complete, the wifi on the laptop light on, I restarted a couple of times and it still works. I have connected to my home wireless network and the connection seems stable. It was very slow at the start but I updated the driver for the wireless adapter and it's OK now. No idea what the process of the auditor of the pilot did, but it seems to have worked, so thank you very much.

  • Microsoft welcomed the missing network adapter after upgrading to Windows 10. Help, please!

I can no longer create a hotspot since I updated to windows 10. Microsoft hosted network adapter does not appear on the device manager that I can't fix by using the suggestions google gives. This is stressing out me!

It is a driver problem. You can open a command prompt and run netsh wlan show drivers and see if she takes care of a hostednetwork. Update to the latest version of the driver from Acer. If Windows 10 retains the same bad driver installation, I recommend you do decline to 8.1

  • Missing NETWORK adapter drivers

    Hello.

I had a computer format Microtour HP Elite 7500.

After installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, I can not get my internet working, he complains about NIC - so of course it is bound by the network drivers.

    I have installed:

    Drivers for chipset (all the 3 sp57514, sp57670, sp59824)

    Intel (sp62748) graphics card

    Network (sp57673, sp60773, sp62162, sp62236, sp64690, sp65426)

The motherboard uses this computer is called IPMMB-FM, which is supposed to be made by Atheros, but the driver listed on the HP site does not work. (SP57673)

When I look closely on the Ethernet thingy on the motherboard connector it says Foxconn. I've been there, trying to find the driver, I've been to the Atheros website (Qualcomm) and I couldn't find the driver it no more.

Simply, I can't find the solution for this and I spent a lot of time trying to understand this now.

Before ask you, yes - I tested the cable with another computer. (Even if switch on the LED on the back of the PC)

And no, it is not wireless although he suggested that most of the drivers available.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello:

So much for the accuracy of the quickspecs...

It's an Atheros AR8161/8165 PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet Controller.

This driver should work... I see the ID of the material for the specific ethernet controller in the driver installation information file...

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=CP-106402-1 & CC = US & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4063 & Product = 5251102 & sw_lang =

    % ATHR. L1F % = L1F.ndi, PCI\VEN_1969 & DEV_1091 & SUBSYS_2AD5103C & REV_00; Pegatron

The PC model that I got this driver has the same motherboard IPMMB-FM (Formosa) than the Elite 7500, so I'll be very surprised if this does not work.

  • Missing network adapter driver

I have a hp Pavilion p6516f-b and I was moving the cables around when I started the computer, I can't get online more.  Since then, I have returned in the cables and found one that was loose so I up correctly.  I have the motherboard Μatx-RS880-H and I tried to download the driver of my hp page plug computer internet card, I just get the error "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update.  Update has been canceled. (9996)."I also tried to download the Realtek PSI Express software.  I can't figure out how to get online, I tried every convenience store on my system, and it continues just tell me what I already know.  It can even detect the card in the Device Manager.  Anyone know what I should do next?

I understand the frustration and now I understand what you've done so far.  The adapter's ethernet part of the motherboard, and most of the time is not repairable/replaceable.  What never why he decided to stop working, it might be easier and less expensive to get an expansion card ethernet or USB adapt, to see if that solved the problem.

Here are the choices for the type of USB and here the choice of PCI-e .  The others are inexpensive to try a remedy to this problem.  Of course, who couldn't help, so keep that in mind, too.

  • network adapter missing e9150t

My system works fine this morning - but then the network stop job.  This system is connected through a router to the ethernet adapter in the PC.  I have a second PC connected wireless through the router and it works fine.

On the PC with the problem, Diagnostics in WIndows 7 said that it lacked the network adapter. When I looked in the device driver - the network adapter is missing. I called Norton to see if a virus has caused the problem, but they said they didn't know any problems. I tried restoring the system and supported the system a few days ago, when the system has worked very well - same problem.  I searched on the HP support site - but don't see no driver to download to restore the network card which must have become invalid or corrupted somehow.  Anyone any ideas how to fix this problem?

    Hello:

I don't know if this will work, but here are the network drivers you need for your PC. You should see the controller ethernet with an exclamation indicating it is present, but there is a driver problem.

Select the 32 or 64-bit download as applicable to your system.

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=18713&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207 * & DownloadType = drivers

If you do not see the device at all... Although opens a whole new can of worms. It could be that the network adapter to the top and dies on you.

In this case, you will have to go to plan B and buy an external USB RJ45 network adapter or internal network PCIe x 1 adapter.

  • Missing wireless network adapter

    HI -.

I've seen a number of similar questions but no solution to my problem.

    My system:
    Toshiba A505-S6980
    Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-bit
    Realtek WLAN driver

    Problem:
After the resumption of a sleep, the network adapter dissappeared.  This has happened before and they have replaced the computer, after trying a system restore and recovery then full.  Apparently, it is not the computer.

The wireless adapter is missing in Device Manager, even less space network and connections.  To solve the problems, the computer simply says that a network cable needs to be connected.  There is no choice under wireless network connections.  It has no label adapter wireless on right click of the NIC in Device Manager.

Realtek WLAN driver appears in the list programs & features.  I uninstalled, reinstalled and also found/installed a patch for the pilot.  It did not work.  I have also started/automated wireless auto configuration scripts.  Nothing works.

    Any help is appreciated.

This same thing happened to me. What are the causes it to happen is very low battery, but has found a simple solution to turn back on the wireless network card.

Hold the Windows key and press x

    menu should appear

    Click on Device Manager

must go to a list of devices on your computer

Expand the network adapters in the list

Maybe a little choice but look for 2 people with the same name. one for the wifi and the other for ethernet

Double click on the wireless network card

    Click the power management tab

Click on the tab that allows wifi to be off with low battery

Click the tab drivers and turn on the device

    should be fine from there

  • I just upgraded my OS from Windows XP Edition Home Premium to Windows XP Pro. Now, my network adapter is missing. What should I do?

I am trying to connect to the internet via a wireless connection.  I tried using the wireless network wizard, but fails everything I have.  My Device Manager displays the following connection of periphery: 1394 network adapter. But apparently, it's the wrong card.  How can I get the right network card?  I have a Dell Inspiron 6000.

All suggestions, recommendations would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Ernie...

    Hi Ernie,.

You are right. The 1394 adapter is another and is used with a cable to connect devices to external data such as video cameras or external drives etc.

I know this question might sound really stupid and I apologize for that, but it happened to me several times:

Your wireless network has a physical switch or combination of keys, perhaps he should be pressed to make sure that the wireless adapter is enabled? If wireless is not permitted while working in flight, etc. so they can be disabled.

If it is disabled, the Device Manager it will usually see etc and pilots are not loaded.

If it's not her, did a job of network connection wired and wired type show adapter in Device Manager?

    Just a thought,

    Perry

  • Network adapter / IP address missing

My computer has been infected my virus trojan spyware 2009 I got the malware to download and he pulled out the virus that I can tell.  But now I have another question.  My IP address has disappeared from my system.  The technology of verizon said its something to do with my network adapter.  We tried to turn it off and turn it back on it, but I received an error message that says "Windows has no load the installer for the net."  Conact your supplier of materials for nondurable. "They said that I might need a new network card because the virus can be ruined.  Any suggestions? She also says that I'm still able to uninstall the adapter but I had to get a HP technician for help. Any suggestions because I can't afford their price.

    I have a Satellite Pro A660 - 11 M Windows 7-64 bit

The wireless network adapter does not work...

I tried to reinstall the bios and the driver wireless.

The wireless button is lit to Yes as the key Fn + F8 doesn't show not relevant wifi is turned on/off as usual!
It shows also in the Device Manager and BIOS.
Is there something I missed? Or is it a faulty card?

    Hello

    > It shows also in the Device Manager and BIOS.

First of all, you won't find any WLan entries in the BIOS.
But you should see the local network card in Device Manager.
If good WLan driver has been installed, the local network adapter device should appear in devices-> network cards Manager.

If WLan driver has not been installed properly, you'd still see an entry under network adapters, but it should appear as unknown device or Ethernet controller.
    You can this inscription?

In addition, the WLan driver was released on the Toshiba UE driver page.
The question is; have you chosen the right Wlan driver.
As much as I know that the laptop supports the BROADCOM 802.11(B/G/N) BCM94313 WLan card and, as a result, Broadcom Wlan driver should be used.
