  I get this message too. It leads me to a page which certainly does not all missing photos. There is no missing pictures throughout the project. What is happening in a number of strange bugs:

  • On a particular page, I drag a photo to share with others and he disappears and a third unrelated to photography appears in its place, which arrived with about four pictures, but not with others. Finally, I removed the odd pages and inserted brand new to work around him.

  Since you have any other software you don't have the same problem (and if you get this message, you don't have a photo of the missing - you will find it will continue as posted)

  go through your book and check that no page has a gray background (it is an indication that a photograph is necessary for the bottom), that there are no missing pictures on the pages requiring a photo which are then covered with a photo and that all the pictures of a photo inside - yor have most certainly not a picture missing in your phpotobook

• Problem with Find is close to missing Photos

  First of all, I saw the post where the OP posted that he renamed photos and then the ability to find nearby missing Photos wasn't working.

  I had the photos that were on a network drive and I copied pictures on a disc hard so that I can work faster.  After all my changes, I've deleted the local copy of the raw files.  I thought I could just click on the '!' icon on a single photo, and a link back to the raw file that is on my network drive.

  The problem that I am running is only the picture that I chose is related even though the ability to find nearby missing Photos is on.  I've not renamed my raw sort files.  Right now, I'm linking each file one at a time and I have to go through 130 raw files.  I just wanted to check here to see if there is another solution.

  If all goes well, I'll get one before finishing through each file one by one

  You can reconnect entire folders by right-clicking on the folder and selecting "Update folder location"

  However, you create your own problems here, which can easily be avoided. Editing in Lightroom is NOT faster when the photo is saved to a local drive. You will find that there is no difference noticeable photo editing on a network rather than the pictures on a local disk. So the solution in the future is simple... let the pictures on the network drive.

• Find nearby missing Photos does not not LR 2015.6.1

  I renamed a bunch of photos in the same folder and of course, they were all marked with the! I did the location and made sure the box to find pictures of missing nearby has been verified.  I confirmed that one I found was the one I wanted.  The! that this photo was removed.  I tried several times more in this batch and only meet every time.  This feature worked like a charm in all iterations of LR, I have used for years.  Why is it stopped now?  I forgot something?

  When you rename them outside of Lightroom how Lr is supposed to know which file goes with which newly renamed file.  I think that only works well to find nearby missing Photos (or does that) If you go just a bunch of files, but they have their original names.  You will probably need to do this one at a time.

• Missing files in Lightroom 5, files appear in 'Missing photos.

  I have total 27 000 photos, and 5500 of them are listed under "Missing photographs." If their records are listed in everything, there is none? to indicate that LR is not records.

  I know how to reconnect missing photos by clicking on the! and asking LR also find nearby photos.  But it does not work with the exception of the single selected photo, no other photos are located even if they are in the same folder on the hard disk.  I can do this for each of the 5500 photos separately, but it will take about 24 hours.  I'm looking for another way.  To be clear, the corresponding files are not listed in LR or are listed without one? and contain only a fraction of the photos in the folder source hard disk.

  I suspect that the reason why 'Find nearby photos' does not work is the catalog think they are in a different folder of the photo of the target.  For example, the figure shows a sequence of three adjacent "Missing pictures" in LR.  DSC08178 photo is actually in the "Viking cruise" folder on the hard disk while it is indicated as being in the 'cruise Baltic.  The pictures on each side of it are correctly displayed as being in the "Viking cruise" folder because I already spotted by clicking on the!, then their location on the hard disk WITH 'FIND the PHOTOS' NEARBY SELECTED.  Funny, these "found photos" still appear as "missing images" even if they now appear in the LR library under the folder "Viking cruise".

  In past discussions in the research, I find a common suggestion when the catalog was confusing to delete the preferences file.  I have not tried because I doubt that it will work.  I keep my photos and catalog on an external HD which I move from desktop to laptop computer, depends on the question of whether I'm at home or on a trip.  Of course, these two machines (both are Macs) is located in the preferences file, but the same problem occurs on each machine. It is difficult to imagine that the two would be has been corrupted at the same time and in the same way.  I think that it is a corruption of the catalog file itself.

  If this is true, I have a possible solution.  If someone has a better idea or think that my fixed does not work, please tell me.  But it's my idea:

  Applications to problems are several years so that the problem is as far as I KNOW recent old.  I have files of backup catalog dating back to a few months.  They have all these old photos changes.  So if I can find one of these catalog uncorrupted files, I will be removed all files EXCEPT the problem files.  Then I ONLY deletes records of problem of the current catalog.  Finally, I combine two catalogs.

  Will this work?  Are there unforeseen problems (by me)?  Is there an another, perhaps better, difficulty?

  Can't you just click right on line 'Missing Photos' under 'Catalogue', and select Remove from this temporary Collection?

  Another simple solution is to simply ignore it.

  Normally, if you find one, you will find a lot of missing photos in the same folder.

  Then, you can reconnect all missing photos in this folder at a time.

  I had not noticed the little exclamation point [!] next to all your thumbnails gray when I gave my notice earlier.   You need to know where your photos are really, what device and the drive letter, and recreate a link for them the way assani see the answer (s).

  Pictures are not stored within LR, LR just remembers where they were when you imported the.

  Where are you located photographs, which hard drive?

  If they were on the hard drive crashed and all the contents of that hard drive have been deleted then the photos have disappeared, unless you have a backup of them and them have copied on the hard disk in the same places where they were before.

  If the photos were on an external hard drive, then the only problem is that the drive letter for this external hard drive is different now that the OS has been rebuilt and assani instructions should work.  Or you can use disk management to change the drive letter of the disk to what it was before.

  It would be useful to have the area of the Panel records expanded so that we can see where LR thinks the pictures are, C: or somewhere else.

• Impossible to locate missing photos

  I understand how the production system and have been careful not to move the photos on my hard drive without doing it in Lr. import of raw on my Mac hard drive files, edit and they are stored on my hard drive Mac ONLY. The previous pictures that were on my old HP were loaded with success on the Mac hard disk using a Lr technical support last fall and has not been moved since. A large part of images from January of this year in July of this year, as well as various photos of various years earlier in 2010 are now untraceable. I EXPORTED (not moved) to the desk top files for printing several times, but even photos that have never been exported appear missing. All of my missing photos are listed in this office since-deleted folder. In addition, all of the photos found are the exported jpg, not the CR2 files. Please help as I have no idea why these photos are missing or where otherwise they might be that I have does not move the files, export only by Lr I have to periodically back up to my entire Mac to an external hard drive, so should I just load an older catalog? Help, please!

  If possible, I'd like to talk to a human being on the phone. I had a wonderful experience when technical support helped me to move the files to my hard drive in HP photo died last fall. I was actually planning to spend 6 Lr but wanted to save all of the program on a hard disk external before loading the new version, just in case. Now, I don't feel uncomfortable doing without knowing why this happened and how to recover my precious photos.

  If a file is exported as a jpg to a Lr desktop file (for printing from a print lab, for example), I should be able to remove this folder from office without losing the location of the raw file, correct?

  I've sorted in a collection without realizing many of the images are "missing photo". When I find the originals catalog is not automatically find that all the other missing persons photos around her as she normally does.

  Navigate to the folder tree in the library module. Records must indicate that they are absent. Right-click on a folder and update the location of the folder. It will also work for all subfolders.

• Cannot reconnect 'missing' photos

  After you have imported all my photos of PS Elements 8, taking the default values, I was presented in the grids of the cell library to the icon broken in the corner upper rh. When running "find her lack of Photos", I got a report saying there are a few 13 678 'missing' photos. I certainly did not expect this 'missing' statement, so a lot of images seems there are a lot of recovery to do, perhaps in the area of renaming one of the images duplicated; for example. filename_1.jpg.

  Regarding the upgrade a catalog of items to Lightroom, follow these instructions

  Please note: If you have imported all the pictures, as you say, then this is not the right way to create a Lightroom Catalog from a catalog of items. The correct method is shown in the video.

  Regarding the missing files, I really don't know what caused them, but I'm 100% sure that they were not caused by duplicate files names, that should not be a problem in organizer or Lightroom. When you say "I then followed the procedure in a help file to locate missing photos, who described their last passage", might be more accurate, exactly what is the procedure, what commands and what did the steps you use?

• Import of missing photos from an external source

  Hello. I just moved my (rather small, 3500 or almost) picture collection from disc external hard disk my internal. Everything worked very well, for the most part. But when checking, I see that more than 500 photos (in recent years, for the most part) are marked with a question mark. Missing photos are all on a backup of my collection of photos, stored on an another DHM with a USB connection.
  My question is, what would be the best and easiest way to restore my photos on my PC? I guess using the library/Find lack of photos and pointing LR with my backup hard disk would be the way to go, but I'd like a second opinion before starting, in case there is a better way, or this way of doing, it's all wrong.

  OK, a question, these missing photos scattered in a lot of different folders of the backup?

  If they are fairly easy to identify, copy their files using the Explorer to where they should be on the internal drive. Then make the library / find and link to the versions of internal drive. What I'm trying to avoid tip files in your catalog on backup copies - it is a backup, after all.

  And maybe start with some pictures, just to verify that it is a practical approach.

  My images have disappeared in the catalog. Don't miss them, they are not visible. I think that there is a bug in the Fliter section.

  Let me explain. I have a main folder with 5 subfolders. All of these files contain random amounts of images. (that is, the path would be...  Photo/2010/BeachShoot, or Photo/2008/PartyPics... etc).

  I imported the images, so 5 subfolders of 5 years. I was in random tagging images be dismissed with the key "x". Big interview... flag so much, and then call only the rejected photos in the grid, select all, then delete. Remove the filter from flag... Repeat the process again and again...   Basic work, simple...

  Now... just do something... I removed all the filters to flag and my images make their appearance is no longer in the catalog. I tried turning on the flags, off the coast of flags... etc. The images does not get accidentally deleted. I checked my location on hard disk. Are there images. I rebooted the machine, I opened a different catalog, to deceive back... didn't work. I tried to re - import the images... but he says they are already in the catalog.

  Strange: window on the left Sidebar, under catalogue "All photographs", it shows the correct number of photos in the catalog. However... the strange part... Under 'Files' in the side bar on the left under catalogues my account main watch 'Zero' number of images. But if I click on a root folder where live images, they number varies from zero to the correct number of images and my images keep popping up on the screen as usual...

  The work around... click on each subfolder...

• "All photographs" missing photos in the library (1.1.4)

  When you find a photo, I clicked on the "all photos" and discovered the photo I was looking for wasn't there.  However, I find it very well when I click on the folder in which it is.   I checked and missing photos are not buried in collapsed chimneys, that was my first thought.

  Can someone help me understand why a whole range of photos are not displayed in ' the Photograpsh' and hot to bring included it?

  First of all, I hope that this is a transposition in version numbers. If this isn't the case, update 1.4.1 asap! (OR 2.4, a paid upgrade!)

  Two possibilities, one immediate, you have an active filter so it is the omission of the photo.

  If this is not the case, use synchronize folder to bring in the missing image. If that is wrong, try to import the picture as if it was new.

• Artist missing Photos in iTunes 12.5.1

  I noticed that a few pictures of the artist are missing since the upgrade to 12.5.1.  Any ideas on how to correct or update?  They are traditional artists, nothing obscure.

  I also noticed this. They used to display a grid of album art, today, these are Rainbow pickups except one.
