Hi angel_ARO

1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?

2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

Step 1:

You can try to access Windows Media player from the location and check if you can open it.
C:\Program files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer

Step 2:

If the problem persists, you can check if you are facing the same question in the user account new or different administrator account.  You can create a new user account on your computer, and then check.

Web videos Windows Media Player require additional plugin software that adds specific functionality to enable items to use. Additional plug-in software requires more memory. However, the internal memory of the device of Internet TV is designed only to be used to store data of the pre-installed applications. For this reason, Windows Media Player can not play.

    Hi Trish,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum!

Based on the information you gave it seems you found the error code 0x80004005 and 0x8007047F during the installation of Windows Media player.

If you have windows 7 installed, it is not possible to uninstall Windows Media Player 12. Windows Media Player 12 comes preinstalled with the operating system. You can not downgrade to Windows Media Player 11 in Windows 7.

I suggest you to follow the link and check if it is enabled or disabled, and then restart the computer to start windows media player 12.

Thanks for the links to d/l the WMP 64 bit (I sen a player 64 bit but it was for XP)

other than this WMP 11 works very well... just thought I would try the 64 bit version and see if that makes a difference.

    Hello GrimREMA,

This means a file has been moved, renamed, or deleted.  The file is possibly corrupted.

In Windows Media Player 11, you can choose 'options' on the 'Library' tab then
Select the network? This tab is opened?

  • WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER... Missing codecs

My windows media player use to play DVD & VCD but now missing the codec so can't watch these now. Download the codecs but them uninstalled as apparently do IE, Media Player etc unstable. Is anyone able to help with this please... Thanks :)

    Hello

Thanks for posting in this forum. I understand that DVD is not playing in Windows media player, installed some codecs but these codecs were Internet Explorer unstable. Let us know if it's the misunderstanding of the question.

A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.

A codec can consist of two components: an encoder and a decoder. The encoder performs the compression function (coding) and the decoder performs the decompression function (decoding). Some codecs include both components and some codecs only one of them.

For example, when you rip a song from an audio CD on your computer, the player uses the default Windows Media Audio codec to compress the song into a compact WMA file. When you play that WMA file (or any WMA file that may be broadcast from a Web site), the player uses the codec Windows Media Audio to decompress the file for music can be played through your speakers.

  • Windows Media Player 11 under WinXP missing labels

Windows Media Player 11 under WinXP SP3 appears as the old WMP 10 with the classic menus.

I uninstalled and reinstalled WMP11.  The current version is 11.0.5721.5280.

    I wish I could attach a screenshot.

All that shows is the elements of 'classic' menu file/View/Play/Toos/help.

The large black tabs for <- -="">Now Playing | RIP | Library | Burn | Sync | Media Guide are missing.

Enter ctrl-M to the classic menus doesn't change anything.

By clicking on the small icon to go to the 'full' mode does nothing.

How WMP to display the user interface of new type.  I have another computer running WinXP SP3 with WMP11 which works as expected, and I can't seem to find out what is different.

WMP11 is like it is stuck in some form of compact mode with the old style user interface.

I'm missing codecs for windows media player 11.0.6002.18311 any way I can reinstall it or get download missing codecs?

Finally, I fixed my problem of codec.  It turns out that it is the 6.9.2.26 codec DIVX version.  I uninstalled all DIVX software and re-installed 6.8.5 and now everything works.  Windows Media Player 11 now play AVI encoded with mjpg, as well as Adobe first Elements 4 camera.  In addition, first elements will now load a DX50 encoded AVI, who had stopped working as well.

  • Windows Media Player 11 - right click "Add/enqueue" option missing - cannot load the contents of the folder

    Hello

Windows Media Player 11.0.6002.18005 for my Vista 64-bit system worked very well for me.  I could right click on any folder containing my Mp3 files and select 'Add to the reader' or 'enqueue' and it would then open and read my files that are in the folder.

However, for some reason this right click on the option is now missing from my right click menu.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Alright!

It's a simple solution... I had apparently made a universal change to display the parameters of the files from my Vista, and it removed the 'Music Details' option in the combo box with area to "Customize" options files in the properties...

I just changed the "Music Details" option for the kind of file, I want it to be... and voila!  .. "Add to Windows Media Player play list" and "Play with Windows Media Player" options are available again for me via a right-click on these files.

  • the Windows media player 11 - media format 11 runtime is missing?

Hi, I have windows media player version 11 11.06, don't ask me how I have this version that I can't even download site of microsoft, but it seems that I'm missing media format 11 runtime, that would allow me to get the details of my cd on internet, have put them manually is a pain.  can anyone help me on how to solve this problem, thanks in advance.

    Hi Luke-1066,

    (a) on the computer what edition of Windows operating system do you use?

    (b) how did you get the information that media format runtime 11 is missing? Do you get any error messages?

    (c) referring you to download media usage rights? I would like to know if it is something else

By default, Windows Vista comes with Windows Media Player 11

Version 11.6001 indicates that Windows Vista Service pack 1 is present on the computer, and the version 11.6002 indicates that Windows Vista Service pack 2 is present on the computer.

For player to automatically download usage rights , download usage rights automatically when I play or sync a file option must be turned on (by default, it is enabled). To check that it is enabled, follow these steps:

    In Windows Media Player

    1. click on the arrow on the reading tab, click Other Options, and then click the Privacy tab.

    2. check that the box download usage rights automatically when I play or sync a file is selected.
