Model photo with white #ffffff background appears gray on line, using Photoshop CS5.

Aloha! I am confused with this and need your help.

Here's what I want to do: create a transparent white border around my photo on a white background (blog post box is white). I use Photoshop CS5.

I tried saving the file as PNG, GIF, and JPG, but all appear as gray in the region I want as white.

Picture below, it's as well as my image appears on a white background. The area around the photo and behind the word "example" is the grey area which is white #ffffff on PS but otherwise appears when you post online (my blog on Blogger).

The top image is a PNG file, the background is a GIF image. The GIF is a little better but still gray. I would like to the surroundings to be white pure, so just, it blends into the white background (post region).

This is the image I see on PS, it is white in the areas around the center of the photo, that's how I intend to the final image to look like:

Postage-Test.jpg

I even chose my background (while creating a new document) in white for the background color. I even tried a transparent background, but everything what was making worse it and turn the background transparent to black when I post the image online.

Here is a screenshot of my layers (not sure if this info is necessary, but I need help).

If someone wants to help me with this, I would really appreciate your help.  Thank you very much!

Problem solved. I also posted in the forum of my blog and discovered that there is a problem. The blog platform I was using 'Blogger' recently introduced changes to the system and part of the change "auto-renforcee" photos, that's why my photos came with this shade of gray. I had to go into my settings and delete the auto-Enhancer. Oh my god!

Mylenium, I appreciate your efforts! It is good to know that the support is there in this community. Thumbs up!

Aloha!

What can I do to be able to view and work on Camera Raw photos taken with both cameras? You have two options: upgrade to at least Photoshop CC or CS6 or get the free DNG Converter to convert your RAWs 70 d DNG for use in CS5. The last option will always require an additional step.

  • Photoshop does not open Raw images with my new camera Canon 6 d help! I use Photoshop CS5 extended version.

    Hello

I got a new camera and Photoshop and Lightroom will not open Raw images with my new camera Canon 6 d help! I use Photoshop CS5 extended version. and Lightroom 3

    Good and bad news:

The bad news is you need CS6 or later version to open 6 d RAWs. (The 6 d did not support until Camera Raw 7.37.0 was created in CS6;) You can choose to upgrade (I recommend CS6 to jump and go straight to 2014 CC for $10 / month) * GOLD *...

.. the good new is that the DNG Converter can help you convert your RAWs in DNG for CS5 and Lightroom 3.

  • Windows "open with...". ' does not not for Photoshop/CS5.5

I use the command "open with...". "in the context menu of Windows all the time opening .jpg and other image files in Photoshop. I don't want to directly associate .jpgs, etc., with Photoshop, because most of the time that I want to just quickly view in Windows Photo Viewer. But from time to time, when I need to open one in PS, so I had been using the menu command 'open with... '. ». It worked well in every version of CS I've ever used.

Until, all of a sudden, when I installed CS5.5, 'open with... '. "no longer works. Right click on a .jpg file, for example, does not even Photoshop as a valid option for a request for opening of the file (not in the list "Recommended programs" or the "other programs" list). So I have to go and look for a 'additional program '. I use Windows 7 64-bit, but if I choose the photoshop.exe in Program Files or Program Files (x 86), the jpg still comes to open in the default application (Windows Photo Viewer).

Even for a PDF (opening in Photoshop or Illustrator).

PSD open directly, although, when I double-click the file.

This really seems a matter of CS, since 'Open with' still works fine for other non Adobe applications.

How can I get my menu 'Open with' to 'review' Photoshop as a valid option and pass the file name correctly so that it actually opens the file?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you very much!

Nope. I had done so many times, and he never "stuck". No matter how many times I've traveled to exe, if I always checked off 'using the program selected... '. "or not, the jpg file still open in Photo Viewer.

It turns out that this thread has shown on the widget more 'like that' to the right of these forums when I presented my post, and who responded to my question. Why the wire never showed up when I was actually looking for a response, I'll never know.

According to the guidelines of this thread, you have to go and manually set/update the registry key

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\open\command

to point to the path of the most recent Photoshop (in my case, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64 Bit) \Photoshop.exe). I guess it's something that the CS5.5 installer can't do in certain circumstances. He was always pointing the way to my CS5, which was no longer valid.

  • New photos of PC, reinstalled CS4, appear blurry, but only inside Photoshop?

I've recently upgraded to a new PC running Windows 7.  I finally finished reinstalling everything and gets results in 'works '.  But I noticed something very disturbing.  When I opened previously published pictures in Photoshop, photos that I considered "final" (which means they were ready for printing), suddenly appear blurred.  The same pictures on my Web site are crisp and look like I remember them looking... so it's not the monitor.  Which leads me to believe that Photoshop is something strange of these pix.

Anyone has any ideas as to why the picture looks blurry, but only in Photoshop?

OpenGL operation uses a more smooth resampling, but if you do not see as "fuzzy", it could be that there are configured on the GPU features that adapt the games or something causing an excessive blur.  Normally, the differences between the non-OpenGL, OpenGL-based view operations are almost imperceptible.

Sort, you can capture your screen with or without OpenGL and show what you see here?

Here is the same image of the screen has seized 71% with magnification showing the OpenGL / non-OpenGL difference in view on a job system.

If you see blurry images more than the one on the left, then you have a specific problem, you should work to make the light.

Continuing a long SQL More control on additional lines *.
You can continue a long SQL * more command by typing a hyphen at the end of the line and press return. If you want, you can type a space before you type the hyphen. SQL * Plus displays a right angle (>) support as a prompt for each additional line (not in iSQL * more).

    For example:

    SALARY $99 999 COLUMN FORMAT-
    SECTION "WAGES."
Since SQL * Plus identifies the hyphen as a continuation character, entering a hyphen in a statement SQL is ignored by SQL * more. SQL * more does not identify the declaration as a SQL statement until after the treatment of entry has joined lines together and removed the hyphen. For example, enter the following:

    SELECT - 200
    100 DOUBLE;
    Returns the error:

    >

It only happens for the first line of a sql statement, because at that time there you are not in the edit buffer. And the order could still be a sql * more order and not a sql command.

Hello. I need to erase this white borderswhen I enlarge the image files in Photoshop cs5.

When I took some courses in Photoshop, I remembered how fix and do more smoothly...

    Now, I totally forget.

The solution could control somethings inside preference... I guess...

Anyway, here, the photo is the horrible headache I'm asking now.

    Please answer my question.

I think you are referring to the pixel grid that shows extreme enlargement. If that's what you're talking about, go to view > view and uncheck the grid in pixels

  • Is Photoshop CS5, which I am currently using with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, also compatible with OS 64-bit Windows 10?

    Hello

Currently, I use Photoshop CS5 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit operating system.  I love the CS5 and need not upgrade to CC products.  I also think to buy a new PC with Windows 10 64-bit OS.  What is my Photoshop CS5 works with Windows 10?

In addition, if CS5 is compatible with Win 10, must I first uninstall CS5 on my current computer before you install on the new machine, or can I just use my CS5 disk to install directly on the new PC with Win 10?

    Thank you

    Richard

No need to uninstall CS 5 old machine. it is very very important to turn off activation in the menu helps to record the number of activations.

All individual applications can be activated on 2 machines. Regarding the number of activations for more details, you can check with the help of Adobe once and get confirmation.

Hmm, what about compatibility... cannot say it is completely compatible, but you can give a try. most of the cases, it works fine, but we cannot guarantee or say how it will work smoothly or can be installed on Windows 10 without any problem.

  • 5.5 Lightroom may 'link' with Photoshop CS5?

I use Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 and need to open the RAW of Sony ARW files.

At a presentation last night and expertise gave a lecture on his Mac on Lightroom and how RAW files can be imported.

He showed how Lightroom differs from Camera Raw and convinced me that I need Lightroom.

Lightroom is a great companion to Photoshop CS5. It will give you the last Camera Raw features. Lightroom will create a PSD file or SENT to Photoshop so that you can use all the tools of Photoshop, that you are used to. When you have finished working in Photoshop, this file will be saved and added to your Lightroom Catalog. I think you'd be very happy with the workflow.

Camera Raw using Photoshop CS5 is more ancient than the raw editing capabilities of Lightroom 5. Camera Raw is used to convert the image when it transfers from Lightroom to Photoshop. Because your version of Camera Raw won't have all the features that Lightroom, he wouldn't be able to convert precisely the image during the transfer. The solution is simply to allow Lightroom create TIF or PSD file before opening in Photoshop, rather than at the end of the session of Photoshop. The process works very well, and many users use this workflow.

  • Print photos with a white background in indesign to

I have been searching for an answer to this simple question on the web, but couldn't find an answer. Help would be appreciated.

I designed a page in indesign CS5 for publication in a magazine. I have a photo with a white background. The picture is a photoshop image. I put it in indesign as a psd.

On the screen, the white background merges with the indesign default color of white paper. No problem.

I wonder if I have to worry when the page will be published in the magazine: if not perfectly white, the color of the magazines pages will show the edges of the images in the magazine? What I have to work in photoshop to make the background of my photo transparent so that the edges of the image do not appear?

    On the screen: no problem

    Screen Shot 2015-05-28 at 10.21.58 AM.png

    On paper:

I'm afraid that the page will look like this with the edges of the photo showing if the paper is not perfectly white. Here, I changed the color of the paper in indesign in gray (color on the left). You can see the edge of the image with a white background:

    Screen Shot 2015-05-28 at 10.25.29 AM.png

    Cheers, Remi

White is the absence of color and, consequently, ink. Make sure the background is perfectly white and you should have no problem because nothing will be printed.
